Mason and Ava
Ava is a sweet young woman and has been under her older brothers control since the death of her parents. He treats her like his housekeeper, maid and cook all rolled into one. He controls her every move and refuses to give he any money despite being very well off and living in the large home left by their parents. She secretly writes to a mail order advertisement and slips away to Texas to be his bride. After five days on the train she arrives in Narrow Cross only to discover he is a conman and swindler not only to her but many more. She is approached by the young handsome sharif, Mason. He is honest and well liked by all. He takes her to The boarding house after she confronts the weasel himself, already behind bars. She and Mason gradually come to care for each other. You will enjoy discovering how they find their happily ever after.

This was a wonderful book. I hated
to have it end. Very well written. Bella Brown is one of my favorite authors and I recommend this book very much.

Beautiful story
I enjoyed reading this delightful story and the thought of a town with such warm people. Starting over and opening up to possibilities can be daunting.

needed a better ending.
You didn’t describe anything about Charles jail time or how the inheritance was coming. There should have been a few more enticing chapters.
