HP : HP Reality Check Desk. Please state the trope that is bothering you.

St. Mags: It’s not the trope –

HP: Trope please.

St. Mags: Um. One Night Stand between a waitress and a titled billionaire, pregnancy and a forced marriage.

HP: And your issue?

St. Mags: The heroine. She’s –

HP: A doormat.

St. Mags: No, not at all. She’s too sane.

HP: (carefully as if she had never heard that word at work) Sane?

St. Mags: Yeah. She has control of her emotions. She tells the hero when she is disappointed in him and she states her needs in clear terms. She ascribes to the philosophy that she can’t control others and doesn’t let their behavior affect her for very long.

HP: Wow.

St. Mags: I know. An example: her mother-in-law hates her and tries to undermine her at their castle in Spain. The heroine just avoids her and doesn’t add fuel to the fire. She doesn’t tell the hero because she figures the m-in-l will just get tired of being away from her own home and will leave soon. She’s going to wait her out.

HP: That’s amazingly mature.

St. Mags: Every time there was a chance for angst and drama she diffused the situation or just went about her business being pregnant, firing pieces in her kiln and having hot sex with the hero.

HP: How did she handle the black moment?

St. Mags: By the black moment she had found her long lost sister (who is married to a billionaire) and a billionaire half brother, so she went to them and enjoyed a family reunion while the hero was frantically trying to contact her.

HP: So she didn’t pine for him?

St. Mags: No, it was only a week-long separation. And she later confesses it was only then that realized she loved him after he told her he was smitten from their first meeting.

HP: That’s pretty cold.

St. Mags: She’s a tank!

HP: A tank?

St. Mags: Nothing can harm or upset her as she makes her way through life. And when she chooses, she can blast through all the vulnerable humans in her path – like she did to the hero.

HP: (musing) But she can’t go on high terrain or low. A tank has to stay at an even keel.

St. Mags: That’s true! She never extremely happy or extremely sad or extremely jealous or extremely insecure. She has twinges of these feelings but the author never lets her feel. So as a reader – I didn’t have strong feelings while I read it.

HP: So that’s your crisis with this HP? No feels?

St. Mags: It is! Thank you for helping me clarify. I *should* be glad to see a well-balanced, mentally healthy heroine. But I hated her and I wish the yummy hero had found someone more human. She is the kind of person whom you could never confide a problem or describe a feeling. She’d just tell you that your child going off to university is a good thing for them and that you should be glad for them and not sad they’re gone. She will be insufferable as she gets older.

HP: Is there anything else?

St. Mags: No. Aside from the heroine, this was a pretty standard HP with the hero who is afraid of his emotions and a first wife that was not all that she seemed. It was the last story in a series so the family reunion emotions were lost on me.

HP: All righty, then. We’ll wrap this up.

St. Mags: Thanks for listening.

HP: No problem. It was a break from the rants about manwhore heroes, doormat heroines, and improbable plots.

My favorite line for the H as he realizes he has been dumped and his face pales "Her brother is a Russian Billionaire...." He so knows he is toast. I had fun with this one.

I was glad to read Molly's story, out of a group of half-siblings with a mother who 'got around', looking but never finding love. Molly was what I hoped for in a heroine. She is standard Lynne Graham heroine. Young, optimistic, determined in the face of adversity, chaste, but completely unable to resist her hero when he comes along, although she does make a stand when he is not giving her what she needs in their marriage.

Leandro is fairly standard for Lynne Graham, although there were a couple of novel touches. He'd been married for several years and widowed and celibate for a year prior to meeting Mollie. I was happy to finally have a hero who wasn't as big a tomcat as usual for this author. Of course, he did his share of that in the past, but at least, he wasn't including the heroine in his revolving door of girlfriends. He does a few things that annoy me, but I found his impassioned bid for Molly's love near the end of the book to be quite irresistible. I could understand some of his control/not showing emotions issues when the reveal occurs about his so-called 'happy marriage'.

I have to be honest and say I spent a significant portion of this book waiting for Molly's siblings to show up. The romance was good and sexy, nothing lacking, but I was more attracted to the family dynamics that Ms. Graham had pumped my excitement up for in the prior books. And yes, eagerly awaiting another glimpse of sexy Nikolai from Ruthless Magnate, Convenient Wife (Pregnant Brides, #2) as Molly's older brother. What can I say??? He's Russian. I love Russians! Sorry, Leandro. Russians trump Spaniards, even though you are sexy and can be a real sweetie. I was not disappointed when Molly's siblings showed up. I loved how they closed ranks around her as a family, taking her in, and making sure that she was happy, even in her relationship with Leandro. Nikolai is just the kind of older brother I think a girl needs. At any rate, it was great to see the family together, and really sweet. And I adored Ophelia, so seeing her again was great.

The epilogue was lovely as well. Molly, who had always felt unwanted and unloved, alone in the world, had a family that loved her, and a husband who would hang the moon barehanded because of his adoration for her.

Deliriously sappy (in a good way), a bit silly, sexy, a good way to spend a few hours. Nothing ground-breaking, but I wasn't looking for that. Just a good read, and I got one with this book.

Very LG-ish.

The h is a tiny, plucky little heroine that has more pride and self-respect than most HP heroines, and our hunky Spanish Duke is one of the most clueless heroes ever. He's somewhat of a snob but embraces the MOC with the h pretty quickly once she becomes pregnant and resorts to just a simple I'll take the baby threat to get her to marry him. The h agrees as much for the want of a solid family life as for her intense attraction for the H.

StMargarets does have a point: the heroine is all too sane and clear on what she needs out of the relationship and steers clear of some major pitfalls that HP virginal virgins usually fall head first in. I liked her anyway. Hey, when have you ever met a character named Molly that wasn't likable?

Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.
The Melting of Molly
Molly Weasley

As for the Spanish/Duke/Billionaire? He's pretty yummy once he gets over himself.

One of my favorite parts is when he finds out that he has a powerful BIL, actually two, and they aren't too happy with the way sweet little Molly has been treated.

Nikolai Arlov, Leandro reflected heavily. Her brother was a Russian billionaire.

There is a pretty rotten MIL who's balanced out by the hero's surprisingly nice sister.

The last book in Lynne Graham’s Virgin Brides, Arrogant Husbands Trilogy where we finally get to know the full story of Ophelia, Nikolai and Molly.

I loved Molly….she is such a loveable character despite the knocks life has give her….given up for adoption after the death of her not too stable mother, by the most horrible grandmother, she has not given up on becoming an artist and is working as a waiter at a party where she has a very eventful first meeting with a drop dead gorgeous man who literally falls at her feet whilst trying to rescue her from a sticky situation.

Leandro is a Spanish aristocrat who lost his wife and has no interest in getting involved with women, a waitress at that…someone totally removed from his world.
But there are some surprises waiting which are going to change her life forever.
After being seduced by Leandro, who cannot resist her…who can…she’s such an adorable character….discovers she is pregnant….yeah…they forgot that important thing….resulting in a huge surprise and shock to both….but someone’s mistress…which is what he offers her…is not Molly’s idea of bliss and naturally she refuses…he then tells her he will marry her…of course she accepts…she’s mad about him….understandably so…he is really amazing…..

I felt really emotional towards the end of this book where she is reunited with her sister, Ophelia….who I am still crazy about from the first book of this series…. that she has always loved and her long lost brother. The bond between the three is amazing. Molly has finally found her happiness surrounded by a husband who is totally besotted and in love with her, their child and a growing loving family.

I absolutely adored this series. I found the characters so engaging and lovable. And discovering the full story of the three siblings’ lives was awesome.
Another thing I enjoy reading this author’s books is how characters in her other books relate to each other. The Rich, the Ruthless and Really Handsome Series connect in some way with this series and they are all just as enjoyable to read.

So bummed. I usually love LG's stories, but this one felt kind of blah to me. I didn't connect with the characters or even hope to see them come together for an HEA. And just imagine the heroine and her two siblings all becoming billionaires. What are the odds? Nothing about this story felt realistic to me and I felt zero angst for Molly's situation, even though the story is written as though Molly isn't loved at all by her new husband and she is definitely detested by her new MIL. I just didn't connect with the feels that a story such as this should have brought forward.

The final book in the 'Virgin Brides, Arrogant Husbands' series.

The book was a disappointment and the hero was just over the top. Too arrogant, too cruel, too mean- spirited. I disliked him throughout until close to the end. I must say he gave too little, too late for this reader. He was my least favorite hero in the series.

Molly I loved. She was an awesome heroine who was mature way beyond her years. She had her stuff together and knew her own mind. It was a shame that he treated her so badly.

The three books were quite similar and it appears LG has a certain set pattern on her mean, arrogant heroes. Unfortunately those heroes seem to give too little too late. IMHO

I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this book!

A forthright, sensible heroine in a Lynne Graham book -- am I in some strange parallel universe? It does make for rather less drama, as Molly only occasionally does really stupid things to keep the plot going. The rest of the story is pretty cookie-cutter-- virgin-tycoon-pregnancy-you must marry me -- but with a few interesting twists.

Like another reviewer I thought Molly was very fake and very judgmental. She is acting like a spoiled brat literally non stop, she is immature and am I supposed to like it and find her cute? I don't think so!

So 3 stars because Leandro was delicious and the bedrooms scenes quite sexy for a Harlequin :)

Molly was real and she loved him but she was no doormat. Sure at first she tried everything to make it work she did not complain (even though she had every right to). She had enough of him treating her like one long one night stand she leaves him. She is strong and I love that scene when she tell him what's what! Good for you girl!

WARNING: Possible spoilers and long review.

What a great book to end a very wonderful trilogy that was filled with alpha male Greek/Russian/Spanish heroes, strong, independent virginal heroines, a family secrets/tragedy, an accidental pregnancy, and a love that was so sweet and real that made me sighed and begging for more.

We have Molly and Leandro's story in The Spanish Billionaire's Pregnant Wife. We vaguely met Molly through the first and second book, and now in this book, we were able to learn more about her - her life after she was sent for adoption and her quest to find love and happiness.

Molly Chapman was an illegitimate and result of her mother's affair with a married man. When her mother died, her grandmother handed her over to social services for adoption since she was considered an embarrassment. And to make ends meet, she worked as a waitress and met Leandro. The attraction between them can't be denied, and due to a series of unexpected events, she ended up in his bed and experienced the most passionate, mind-boggling love-making for the first time. But would that be enough for her to be his mistress and forget everything she fought for so she wouldn't end up like her mother?

Leandro Carrera Marquez, Duque de Sandoval. Oh my. What a handsome name! He was a Spanish aristocrat whose family pressured him to remarry and produce an heir. The guilt over his wife's death left him cold, so he could not imagine ever wanting to marry again and surrender his freedom again. But that was until he met Molly; the minute he saw her, he was dangerously and strongly drawn to her like a moth to a flame. What a nice analogy! And after spending the night with her in bed, he knew she was totally different from any other woman he had ever met and bedded, and he wanted to hang onto her, so he proposed a solution that would surely benefit both of them - he asked her to be his mistress! But to his shock and later on amazement, Molly said NO and walked out on him. Way to go, girl! But one taste of freedom with Molly, there was no way he was letting her go!

A hero with an authoritative streak + a naturally defiant heroine =PERSONALITY CLASH!

I loved Molly. Despite her past, she remained optimistic, determined, brave, and did stand up for herself. She was truly a refreshing character. And I liked that she didn't agree to be his mistress and wouldn't settle for anything less until her circumstances changed.

Leandro can't stop thinking about Molly. And when she got pregnant as a result of their one passionate night together, Leandro knew what he needed to do. I loved both the hero and heroine. Both of them are well-written characters. She was not afraid to tell him what she thought and felt, especially how he treated her and accused her of something she didn't do. And I loved that.

Leandro immediately learned the truth and realized he had done everything wrong since the first time they met. I could understand why he did those things to Molly because being with her made him realized he had so many feelings, and for a man who hates feeling out of control, that was pretty intense!

Another thing that made the book worth reading was the much-awaited reunion between Molly and her siblings. I was pleased to see Nikolai again, my Russian hero. I loved how he came to get Molly away, and both he and Lysander stood up for her against Leandro. They were the kind of older brothers every girl needed.

The epilogue was great as well. And I was really, really happy for Molly that she finally found her happiness with her amazing husband, who thinks the sun rises and sets on her, a healthy and wonderful son, and a loving and close family to share everything with.

I absolutely adored this book. And if you're looking for a "feel good" book, The Spanish Billionaire's Pregnant Wife is definitely the one for you.

I really enjoyed this one...sure, it starts with the ridiculous virgin waitress Molly who is has no sexual feelings and is scarred by her mom's affairs and her grandmother's rejection on account of her illegitimacy, but then has a one night stand involving unprotected sex multiple times in one night...sure, that makes great sense. (Oh, and it hurt but she wasn't too sore to go all night!)

But then some of my favorite things happen. H Leandros offers Molly the job of being his mistress, not to be seen in public, and she rips him a new one! Fantastic indignant response...good for her! Usually we have to wait until the end before a downtrodden heroine stands up for herself...

No secret baby...she tells him Immediately and he doesn't question paternity (how ridiculous to question paternity when h was a virgin, but so many of these heroes are violage idiots). he blackmails her to marriage with threat of losing her kid and forces her to sign a ridiculous one-sided and unfair pre-nup that leaves her a captive in thier marriage, during which he doesn't show any caring whatsoever for her desires or feelings and gives her zero attention out of bed. But she stands up for herself, first hiring her own photographer on her wedding day, and then finding her rich big brother and leaving him on her brother's jet. (Take that prenup and shove it :). And then H is totally desperate and whipped and that was seriously fun to finally see a heroine with the upper hand.

"The Spanish Billionaire's Pregnant Wife" is the story of Molly and Leandro.
This book follows a similar plot to the previous ones- Leandro is a Billionaire and spots Molly, who is waitressing at an event he is in. He is immediately taken by her, and soon maneuvers the situation so as to they do the nasty under the influence of heavy lust.
Soon he discovers she is preggo, and manipulates her to marry him- only to get busy with work and leave her to fend off his pompous mother. He then accuses her of cheating, is constantly suspicious, and it takes the heroine to leave him and their marriage for him to realize her importance in his life.
Honestly, this was my least favorite book in the series. The hero seemed extremely attracted to the heroine, but once the marriage happens he virtually ignores her, unless he wants to do the hanky panky, or accuse her of something nefarious. His "realization" was suddenly and hardly believable, and I think the heroine should have made him work for it.
However, I am glad the siblings found each other and like the super sweet epilogue.

A good read.

Pretty sexy read with hot passionate nights full of spanish passion.......the theme has been used over and over again but then there are only so many themes to use.

Yes, Molly is that naive woman unawakened and wary of men....but that she see Leondro and BAM! She is hit with a sexual attraction that she doesn't understand and can't control. Her feelings lead her outside into his arms.

Leondro can't believe the attraction he feels for this working class woman and the passion in their kiss. A little bit of a snob. He tries to blame on the drinking and sadness from his wife's death but nothing can diminish the passion from their night together.

This is not a bad story line, but I do think this plot is over used. I have read it many times before. Molly is a virgin. She and Leandro share an amazing night. She ends up pregnant, and Leandro insist that marriage is the only way. He said he would marry her for the sake of his child, but could never love her. It took Molly walking out, for Leandro to wake up, and know that he did truly love Molly. The end of the book was good.

Leandro was wealthy, handsome, and always had everyone do as he said. Molly takes him by surprise. She does not want his money. She just wants his time, and his heart. Molly always said what was on her mind. I loved that about her. Molly had been in foster care. When she grew up, she was a waitress so she could pay her bills. What she loved to do was pottery. She loved to make things. Her dream was to become so good, that she could do pottery full time. She was happy with who she was. I loved how she held her head up high, when others expected her to fail.

This book was ok, but something was missing. I just can't put my finger on it.

The best part of this book is the H’s realization he’s screwed after he hadn’t been treating the h, his wife, well and she leaves him:

Nikolai Arlov, Leandro reflected heavily. Her brother was a Russian billionaire.

Her newly rediscovered family (from the other books in the series) closes ranks around her and the H knows he’s in trouble. :)

Overall, I’m happy they found a way to have an HEA. And the ‘Epilogue’ wrapping up the three books was good.

Excellent finale to a terrific trilogy in which three half-siblings find each other

Though each novel in this trilogy can stand alone, it is a lot more enjoyable and satisfying if they are read in order, because there are crossover characters who are strongly interconnected.

Molly is a 22-year-old woman who was raised in foster care from age nine to 18. She never knew her father, and her mother was very ineffectual in raising her before she died. Molly has an older half-sister, Ophelia, who had been more like a mother to her than her own mother during those first nine years of her life. Molly was devastated when her maternal grandmother refused to raise her, because she deemed Molly's illegitimacy shameful, and cruelly abandoned her to social services. Molly has frequently wondered over the past 13 years what became of her sister, but she did not have the financial resources to do anything to try to find her.

Molly is one of only two or three LG FMCs with black hair. All of her other FMCs have either blonde or red hair. But similar to every other LG FMC, Molly's hair is curly, and she is only a little above 5 feet tall. Also rare, in comparison to the vast majority of LG's working-class FMCs, who typically barely complete secondary school, Molly has an art degree. Her goal is to make a living with her beautiful pottery. But so far she is living the life of an impoverished artist. She is currently residing with a pleasant young man, who was her foster brother during her teen years and is a loyal, supportive friend. Molly sells her pottery at crafts fairs and supplements her paltry earnings by working as a waitress for a catering company.

Leandro Carrera Marquez, Duque de Sandoval, is an extremely wealthy, widowed, 33-year-old banker. It is only a year since his wife of five years died in a tragic car accident, but his arrogant, elitist mother is nagging him to remarry. He and his wife never had a child, and he has an obligation to his hallowed lineage to produce an heir. However, his marriage was deeply unhappy, and he has no desire to ever marry again. Atypically for billionaires in romance novels, he is not promiscuous. He has not had any other woman in his life but his dead wife in the last six years.

The first meet for these two people, who are from polar-opposite worlds, occurs at a ritzy party in London where Molly is a catering server. She and Leandro are intensely attracted to each other and, after a series of unexpected events, end up spending the night together.

These are some of the popular tropes in this romance novel:

1. Fling to forever.
2. Two different worlds.
3. Opposite attract.
4. King Cophetua and the Beggar Maid.
5. Virgin FMC who conceives the first time she has sex.
5. Handsome MMC with a ripped physique (though as is far too common, he is never shown exercising even once).

I have really enjoyed all three books in this series. This one is a terrific romance in and of itself, with two very appealing lovers. And the last portion of this novel offers a wonderful wrap-up for the overarching theme of three lonely, alienated half-siblings from the same birth mother finding each other.

I have read this novel multiple times over the years since its release in 2009, and I will read it many times in the future. This trilogy is definitely a comfort read for me.

From the back cover : Leandro Carrera Marquez, Duque de Sandoval, was as aristocratic, proud and arrogant as his name...and darkly handsome in an impossible, breathtaking way. What would this billionaire Spanish banker want with a struggling, impoverished waitress like Molly?

But Leandro did want Molly--and he took her, accidentally making her pregnant with his child. In Leandro's traditional world, there was only one option--marry the mother of his heir. After all, none of his noble ancestors had actually married for love....

My take:
Molly is a poor struggling artist who works as a waiter. When Molly is not busting tables, she works as a potter. She hopes to one day make it big. Molly was given up for adoption after her mother passed away by her sorry excuse for a grandmother. BTW, this book is part of a trilogy. It's not necessary that you read the books in order to understand the story but you may want to just because.

Um now, where was I?

*spoilers spoilers spoliers*

Oh yes, Molly waits tables to pay her bills. So that is how our heroine meets the hero Leandro. Leandro goes to the wedding reception of an employee. Leandro sees Molly being manhandled by a group of drunk idiots and decides to step in. Trying to prevent a fight, Molly jumps between the four men and out goes Leandro like a light when the first punch was thrown. Molly is right beside him when he comes around and tries to convince Leandro to go the hospital but he refuses.

He goes outside to get some fresh air. Molly goes to get Leandro some food and sort of buzzes around him. The girl can't help it, Leandro is gorgeous. After the party ends, Leandro waits for a cab but it takes too long to arrive. Molly offers him a ride and what do you know, he leaves his wallet in her car. Well she goes to return it to him and of course Leandro uses the opportunity to seduce her. Since Molly finds Leandro dreamy it doesn't take much for her to be swept off her feet. The two copulate without any protection.

A few weeks later, Molly finds out she's pregnant and being the traditional gentleman that he is, Leandro proposes marriage. Molly is somewhat resistant because after their first encounter, Leandro asks that Molly become his mistress. Of course being the good girl that she was, Molly said no. So yea, you can see why Molly was resistant to Leandro's marriage proposal. Anyway, the two are married in a private ceremony before going to Spain to stay at Leandro's family house. I think I will stop right here since I don't want to give away everything. I give this book 4.25 stars. There was just something missing. I can't put my finger on it but it wasn't a classic Lynne Graham book.

Bot exactly what I was expecting, but it was good.

Leandro need an heir but he didn't want to remarried, especially after his ex-wife's death. But when he saw Molly, he's intrigued. Molly didn't want to be Leandro's mistress, but when she's pregnant, everything's all over the place..

I was kind of expecting Leandro groveling for Molly's forgiveness but turns out no, so.. The best angsty and beg-for-forgiveness Hero still won by Maya Banks. She wrote the best heart broken heroine. ;)

But so far this book's good and I enjoyed reading it. Nice one.

Leandro Carrera Marquez, Duque de Sandoval, was as aristocratic, proud and arrogant as his name…and darkly handsome in an impossible, breathtaking way. What would this billionaire Spanish banker want with a struggling, impoverished waitress like Molly?

But Leandro did want Molly—and he took her, accidentally making her pregnant with his child. In Leandro's traditional world, there was only one option—marry the mother of his heir. After all, none of his noble ancestors had actually married for love….

Molly was one tough woman! Even when she is coerced into marrying Leandro, she's not afraid of standing up to him. This is the third in the series about siblings who finally find each other. Though the relationships were a little confusing, I liked how all the characters in the first 2 books are brought together for an excellent story.

I just reread this book and i.loved it as much as I did the first time. Besotted billionaires and feisty wives are her specialty.

Their passion was very tangible and.i.liked how she refused to be ignored. I.love when the story ties in with her half brother and sister. And that epilogue was great.
