The update to Guerrilla Marketing I've been waiting to find! This 8th edition published in 2022, covering the low and no cost marketing options available to entrepreneurs and their businesses. I loved how in depth David Meerman Scott went into various kinds of social media, and how to use those to best connect to your customers and clients, emphasizing a community aspect of giving insider information away for free. This edition is great for anyone starting out or needing to figure out how to revamp their business after the 2020 pandemic.
"The New Rules of Marketing and PR" by David Meerman Scott offers a comprehensive guide to modern marketing techniques, covering everything from content marketing to AI. While it excels in providing a sharp and well-summarized overview for educational purposes, some sections might feel overly basic for experienced marketers. Despite its thoroughness, the book could benefit from being about 50 pages shorter, as it occasionally delves into repetitive details. Nonetheless, it's a valuable resource for understanding contemporary marketing strategies and effectively reaching buyers directly.
I had to read this book for my social media class. The information in this book was useful - as some of it helped me grow my YouTube channel. However, I thought some of the information was repeated a few times in multiple chapters. Other than that, I enjoyed reading this book.
