The book is a collection of reports that were well chosen. You can learn a lot about white trails, surprising that such things happened and are still happening in some parts of the globe.
It's worth reading it and gives you a glimpse of the world from the perspective of selling "entertainment" that brings big money, a lot of death, and a lot of corruption.
In addition, for me, it was great that a lot of the people who were described I know from movies, TV series by which the reports confirm a lot of stories that in my head were already gently written.
