A very good story action packed book. The final battle has begun. Ganondorf (Ganon), has unleashed his armies it us up to the heroes of light and Twilight to stand together. However with the seer numbers and thr mistrust between Twilight and Light will this be enough. Because of all the action this books comes across as a ver quick read. I can't wait for the finale. Though I did have to wait over a year for this book.

I’m a bit torn on this one! The art as always is amazing, and I really liked how creepy puppet Zelda was in this. My big problem with this is that it is just so short and the climax of the story is dragging. Honestly, this should have been the last book with one extra chapter tacked on the end. It’s a shame, because I’ve really been enjoying this series but it’s starting to look more and more like a cash grab.

What I keep loving over and over about this series is that it’s not all black or white, good or bad. I like that everyone is painted in shades of grey. One more to go!

WITH THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!
Ok, but on a serious note: Everything is coming together, and we're actually at the final boss battle! And yes, friendship, and the relationships Link has made along the way are key to them all surviving this.

I also very much appreciate what the author did in regards to racism and xenophobia!

With such a dramatic battle between Ganondorf and Link, we also get to see one of my favorite parts “Puppet Zelda” as they refer to her in the game. I enjoyed how the fight scenes were handled and they expressed the same frustration I had when I played the game years ago. Over all, even this far to the end the series has held my attention and I couldn’t read them fast enough it seemed.

This story leapt off the page. I swear I was hearing, feeling and seeing it all play out. I love this series so so much. From the STUNNING panels to one of the best overall stories I’ve ever read. I am in love with every single character. I cannot get enough. So excited for the next volume

Lovely character designs and story. Some of the action scenes are a bit difficult to follow at times though.

Taking the battle to Ganondorf

With Zant defeated only Ganondorf stands between the combined power of Twilight and Hyrule as they rush toward the castle he has protected himself within along with princess Zelda. However the hatred that has built for many years between the Hylians and the denizens of the Twilight realm is still within many hearts and needs to be challenged if both forces will truly be able to work together. In the mean time Ganondorf has unleashed his own forces to spread his ominous shadow across the world as monsters of all sorts go forth to spread the dark carnage their master desires.

This is the beginning of the end as Ganondorf not only states his mission plan but begins battling the heroes of the tale. With that being said being the 10th volume of the series it has the same volume of manga as the entire Zelda VizKid line of books and when the final volume comes out this series will actually be longer than all the other Zelda titles combined. As usual great art, fantastic characters, and character development makes this one of the best Zelda adaptations (and often more darker) ever created. If only some of the old VizKid manga could be equally reimagined for mature audiences that would be great but if nothing else I hope they consider adapting some of the other games like they have this one. :)

The final battle has begun. Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganondorf are all connected by the Triforce, but who will prevail? I have no fricken clue, because this book just ended in the middle of the battle. I kind of get the point of doing that considering this series was based off of a video game, and the player shouldn't really get much hints about the final battle with Ganondorf from these books, but it's still weird. I do have a feeling that Link and Zelda will win, but that's just me lol.

I really enjoyed the fact that monsters, humans, Twilight, and Light citizens joined forces to help fight Ganondorf's army and help lead Link to where he needed to go.

I also love this art style for Zelda, Link, and Midna, it's amazing. I honestly forgot Midna was blue, it's been so long since I've played the game or watched someone play it, you don't really notice when the books in black and white, unless the characters mention it, which they do lol.

Overall this was an amazing story, and series, and I am definitely wanting to read more based off of The Legend of Zelda video games.

It’s been a hot minute since I read the last volume so I kinda forget some of the plot, so some of the emotional beats didn’t hit hard because I forgot the previous chapters. So apologies if my reviews kinda barren.
A great penultimate volume. Glad to finally see things come together, Link’s arc is amazing. This volume felt so rewarding to longtime readers and just generally is such an awesome read. The battles are epic, it’s just idk such a cool final battle arc! I usually don’t like comics with a lot of action and battles but here it works cuz I’m so invested in the characters.
This manga has been really good the whole run.
Also Link kissing Midna’s cheek was fucking precious. I love seeing a Zelda story where link has an actually personality, he’s adorable. I could never get into the Zelda games really but the manga adaptions I adore. Cant wait to see how this one wraps up.

The final battle begins, and it feels more like a final battle than pretty much any of the Zelda game final battles have ever felt. The gates are stormed, there are monsters and good guys everywhere, and it's all very epic in scope and feel for the first half, before becoming a more character focused finale as Link faces off against Ganondorf at last.

Still the best adaptation of a Zelda game, bar none, and there's still at least one more volume to go.

My only complaint is that this volume's a little short.

Can I just say the art in this is absolutely FANTASTIC. I read it through twice, the second time paying more attention to the art than the story. Some of it is absolutely gorgeous with such detail and attention to lighting!

The story itself is pretty great with Link and his friends making the haste to the castle as the Demon King starts to make his final push for absolute rule. Anyone has to work together just to hold off his horde. Cannot get over how fantastic the art is though!

And so the battle begins. I don't know how I'm going to wait for Volume 11, but maybe I'll be done processing the rest of this series by then. I will now take a moment to think over this last installment, because it was incredible.

This was an awesome volume! I really enjoy how there are higher stakes than there are in the game. It makes perfect sense what they have done here to raise the stakes here towards the end of the series. I will say with them raising these stakes, it does make more sense what they did in volume 9. However, I wish it would have been done a little cleaner (felt like they were ignoring what was most urgent at the time).

Anyway, this book was mostly battle/fighting, so it was a quick read. I feel one of the strengths of this manga is the way they have portrayed the fighting. I think they did an awesome job with it.

I really appreciated that by the end of this volume, I haven’t felt there have been any threads or subplots from previous volumes left hanging. Himekawa did an excellent job at keeping track of these things and then making them relevant to the overall plot.

The tenth volume of a really good manga retelling of a really good game, so anyone who's enjoyed the previous nine would enjoy this too, as I did.

We're approaching the climax of the story now, so this is a particularly dramatic, action-packed set of chapters that doesn't slow down for one second. The action scenes are wonderfully drawn and keep the page turning, and all the drama expanding on the story of the game itself lands exactly right. It's edge of your seat stuff! It does get more graphic with it's depiction of violence that you'd maybe expect from a Zelda manga, so that's something to consider if you're squeamish about that sort of thing, but otherwise this is a thrilling book that I'd definitely recommend to any Zelda fan!

4/5 ⭐s, we're ruining the 5 star twilight princess manga streak with this volume unfortunately 💔💔 battle scenes were a bit harder to follow but that might just be a me problem 😅 you can really see how much link and midna care for each other in this volume too ajhgkjhgdjhsh i love them!!! shout out to ashei btw she was so incredibly cool in this volume ❤️❤️ also, the cover art of this volume is amazing!! (maybe im just biased though since i love most if not all the covers that was used for the box set)

Link has finally come face to face with Ganondorf in Hyrule castle to rescue Princess Zelda. You know what that means!

DEAD MAN'S VOLLEY TIME!

We have reached the penultimate volume in this series, and as much as I love it, I feel like the two of them could have been combined. I believe this was the original plan, but at some point they must have decided to stretch it out a bit. Not that I'm complaining, because I'd eat it up anyway. The entirety of this volume was Link, his friends, and the Knights of Hyrule fighting against waves of monsters in and around Hyrule Castle so that Link can reach Zelda and Ganondorf. The bulk of the story was just fighting monsters, and once that was over it was Link fighting Ganondorf. So in of itself it wasn't that interesting plot wise compared to the previous ones. There were some moments that started to blur together because it was just a bunch of shouting encouraging words between characters while they're slashing swords around. At least Himekawa didn't shy away from showing so mamy deaths- both monsters and soldiers.

Himekawa did try to spread out the fighting and spliced in some character interactions and conversations. We see Link's friends working together and finally getting to experience their dreams of fighting alongside the Knights of Hyrule. There was also a particualarly touching moment where Ashei calls out one of the resistence fighters, Auru, for his mistrust and dislike of the Twilight people. I think it was important to the greater story to talk about the xenophobia (?) towards the Twilight people, because I don't think there is a terrible amount of interaction between the people of the Light and Twilight realms outside of the main few characters. I will say that by this point in the story we've seen so many of these monologues that they have gotten a bit preachy. Link had a particularly big one in the last volume with Zant, although it kind of worked because he had a crack in his confidence. But with Ganondorf it just bounces off because he legitimately doesn't care. So Link's big "hurrah" about never giving into the darkness just falls on deaf ears, quite similar to how Ganondorf says stuff like "Do not interfere with me any longer!" Like Link's whole purpose to bring balance to Hyrule, he's not going to stop just because Ganondorf asks nicely.

Although I will be honest, Link turning into the wolf again and saying he will use his "fangs of anger" to "shred your undying hate and greed" made me laugh. That's like a better version of that one line in A Court of Frost and Starlight where Rhysand thinks about filleting Tamlin, which kind of sounds gay funnily enough.

Speaking of Ashei it was nice to get to see her again, and I really liked her part in this story. I think she can be an underrated characters in the game because there are so many really cool characters in it that some of them kind of get drowned out. It was nice to see a few other characters again which we haven't seen in a while. Ashei, Shad, Thelma, Illia, Rusl, the children; even if it was just a single panel it was nice for them to at least be touched on again. I also really liked finally getting to see Midna's full power with the shards together. It was very exciting in the game, but I thought it translated well in the manga. Certainly the giant "GWOOOOOO" on the pages helped set the scene and immerse me into the world of fighting and really loud sound affects.

Speaking of Rusl, I only just realized how much of an absolute glow up he had in the series. He actually looks human instead of... whatever on earth he was supposed to be in the game.

My favorite part of the book was easily Link fighting Zelda's puppet, and not just because of the Dead Man's Volley aka Energy Ball Tennis. (Maybe someone should make a compliation of it from the different games and add either Wii Sports sounds or that one song from Challengers over it.) In all seriousness, I really loved how she was drawn- her giant solid white eyes and smile plastered over her face combined with the way she just dived around menacingly was terrifying. I also really liked how in this she actually hurt Link, and how even Link had to draw some of her blood. It made the fight have higher stakes, because if Link had managed to get Zelda back to normal without either of them being hurt it would have felt like a lame cop out.

I am excited to read the final volume in the series as this has been a long time coming. Sure, we already know how it ends, but Ganondorf's death cutscene is my favorite part of the whole game, and I'm excited to see how it's drawn in the book. I'm also interested in seeing how the storyline with Link's friends and his home village ends seeing as it is unique to the manga. I wonder what Link will decide to do at the end of the story seeing as he has two homes, and I wonder if he'll choose to settle back down or do something noble like join the Knights. Sure, I've had the book since it came out, but unlike with this book which I had read even before I did my review for Volume 9, which is not customary for me, I didn't actually read it. I did kind of skim through but I don't really remember anything specific, not like it really matters because I already know the ending obviously.

None of this happened in the game. LOL.

Not a bad thing necessarily. I enjoyed this volume more than the last three. Lots of liberties are taken but we’re finally wrapping up the story that has been stretched like too little butter over too much bread. The volume's small I expected the end (just knew better) and volume 10 is a nice number to finish on. There's just a little extra money to be made isn't there?

Ended well just maybe too swiftly. I won’t be buying the next volume, however I will be getting closure on this series, damn it!

Ganondorf releases his very scary and very large army not on a town or two....but all of Hyrule! The war is at hand and much blood will be spilled before the conclusion of this epic adventure. Link vs. Ganondorf in a winner take all battle! The end of this volume has you begging for the final volume as soon as you put it down....Guaranteed!

I was never able to play any of the games, but I somehow know the general plot, that is why I decided to start reading the manga. I'm so glad to that I started with this one. The art is stunning and you really connect with the characters. The art specially keeps getting better and better. Can't wait to get my hands on the last tome.

D'oh! I should have known it wouldn't be that easy. Short little volume and now I have to wait six more months.

I quite enjoyed how all the side characters came together in this one, and another interesting departure from the game (as I recall; it has been a while). 11 better be the last volume!
