A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

No drama in this one, just good old fashion people falling for each other. I loved that Neil was a nice guy helping Nora out at the start and realizing how great Nora was and started dating her for real. Of course he didn't let her know that until he had her reeled in, which wasn't hard because she was just as smitten as him. The ending was perfect, the big reveal on the house and a new future for Neil and Nora.

This is a sweet book with some excitement towards the end. Nora was a nurse working for the doctor in town and living above Adam’s veterinary practice. I know it was hard for her when it seemed like all her friends were engaged or married but her. The more she tried to find a guy, the more depressed she got. Neil Faraday came to the small town in Texas where his cousins lived. The Farraday cousins were shooting a construction show by taking an old home and fixing it up. Neil was such a great guy and saw that Nora was sitting by herself in the bar with a sad face. I loved how he went over and pretended he was late for their date. This was the beginning of a relationship neither planned on. You can’t help but love the Farraday clan, especially Aunt Eileen. Something bad was happening in the next town over that put sheriff DJ on edge. When the Farraday women got involved, nothing but trouble can happen. I loved the story and strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Even though I have preordered a copy of Neil, the 14th book in this amazingly awesome romance series, I was thrilled to receive the ARC I requested from Chris Keniston. I don't read a lot of romance now but this series, all the way through the cousins, is irresistible and is one of the series that I return to when I am down or just can't settle with a new book. They never fail to draw me in quickly and Neil is the perfect example of all the things that make the series so special.
Nora Brown is a longtime friend of fans and the Farradays since she works at Brooks' doctor's office and plays cards with the ladies who meet at Abbie's diner. She loves her town and the people in it but it sure is hard to find a guy in such a small town. A secretary/nurse practitioner, the tbirty-something woman feels her chances are flying by, so she turns to the internet with about the success you probably expect.
Neil is one of what the realty TV group has labeled Construction Cousins from Oklahoma. This trip is supposed to be a short one but we all know how supposed-to-be's go. A typical Farraday, he immediately notices that a young woman appears to be in an awkward position in and comes to the rescue. It doesn't hurt that she has caught his attention and his imagination.
Join the nosy but delightful neighbors as they watch this couple fall in love. Enjoy the bits and piece of the renovation progress. Laugh with Nora as she learns a bit about what renovation entails and as she gives her heart to her new friend. Root for DJ as he tries to untangle a terrible crime that has hit is beloved county. Finally, have a blast spending time with the Farradays and their friends. While there is not sex in this book or any in the series, there is a lot of chemistry and steam.
Thanks to Chris Kenniston who once again answered my plea for an ARC with another winner that will be a longtime friend; the newest Farrady book, Neil

I can't get enough of the Farradays and with this newest addition Neil and Nora are now one of my favorite Farraday couples.

Nora is already disappointed with the dating scene in Tuckers Bluff so when she is stood up in front of half the town she feels like her life can't get any worse. Then the most handsome man she's ever laid eyes on walks into the local pub and he can't seem to take his eyes off her.

Neil is back in Tuckers Bluff to meet his brothers to go over changes with their latest project. But when he walks into the pub and his eyes meet those of a sad sultry brunette he can't help but be drawn to her. Then he sees an example of small town gossip and he proposes an idea to help Nora save face, and help Neil to gain several dates with the sweetest woman he's ever met.

While both believe the other is only bound to a few dates to help Nora out neither realizes how the other truly feels. Then the county is faced with a date rapist and all the Farraday men are on high alert. Yet it's the women that step up when all else seems to fail. But who's life will hang in the balance when evil comes dangerously close to Tuckers Bluff?

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

Gray strikes the Farraday's again! Nora feels unlucky in love. Neil is happy working with his brothers, and meeting Nora makes everything better. Their fake relationship is standing in his way. Another wonderful Farraday story.

Love those Farradays
Neil and Nora kind of slid into a relationship. He was in town for Construction Cousins. She is Brook’s nurse.
With Gray’s approval, this made 12 for 12.

Neil Farraday makes my heart pound… A cowboy and a man who knows his way around tools… What more could a girl want?

Neil Farraday walks into a bar to have something to eat and meet with his brothers about their family reality show. He takes one look at the woman across the room and decides to sit with her. Nora Brown is on a date with an online guy, that is if he showed up. Sitting alone and kicking herself internally for being there, then having Neil sit down and strike up a conversation saves the day. Together a deal was struck and Nora did not have to face the town’s mean girl alone.

Nora and Neil are perfect together, only their dating is one for show. They are going to break up any day now. However, between everything going on, they are spending more and more time together and just maybe everything is getting really really not pretend.

I loved both characters a great deal. It was nice to check in on some of the other Farradays as well. I loved the scheme of Aunt Grace. Neil Farraday is my new book boyfriend. Neil by Chris Keniston is an awesome read. (Really all of Chris Keniston’s books are an awesome read.)

Nora was a nurse and lived above the vet's office. She was successful in her job, but her dating life didn't exist. She's tired of trying to find the right man for her. She's waiting on her "internet" date feeling embarrassed because he's a no show. People are staring and she just wants to crawl under the table. Then her knight in shining armor appears and pretends to be her date!

Oh my gosh, Neil Farraday melted my heart and had me in love with him when he stepped in to be Nora's pretend date! What a man! Why can't men be like those Farradays in real life!?

Another wonderful Farraday story to add to this series! I always feel like I'm sitting down with friends while reading these stories!!

Of course, any book Chris Keniston writes about the Farradays is going to be awesome! And Neil is no exception. I loved this book, it had excitement, drama, humour, and lots of love. It was wonderful, as usual, to see so many of the past family & town members in this book. Being over 1/2 way through the alphabet, I may have to go back and read them all starting with Adam again. I absolutely love this series and feel like I'm part of the family. Who wouldn't love an aunt like Eileen? I was given an ARC and I'm voluntarily sharing my honest opinion. You should read this book, and the whole series, you won't be disappointed.

From emotional to comical, Keniston does it all. With a sprinkling of common sense and more than a little romance, Neil feels almost like a modern day fairytale. Nora and Neil give an edge to the fantasy of love with irresistible attraction, unpredictable acquaintances and a heartwarming defeat into love.

The grey dog is at it again. I loved Neil and Nora almost as much as Declan and Becky. He is such a gentleman and loved how he helped save Nora from gossip and embarrassment. There is a mystery and a bad guy to catch. What starts as pretend quickly changes to something real. The Farraday Ladies are a force to be reckoned with. Loved the ending.

When nurse Nora Brown is stood up by an online date, Neil Farraday pretends to be her date. To protect her from gossip, Neil suggests that he be her fake boyfriend. Neil is in town with his brothers to rehab an old house. I receive a free copy of this ebook from the author. This is a sweet and clean romance that takes you away from the worries of the world. I also love the inside looks behind the scenes of a rehab show and how Neil gets input from Nora on the rehab. I love visiting the small town of this series and getting to know more about the Farradays.

The latest book in the Farraday series and came just at the right time. There is a lot of drama, excitement, humour, seriousness and love. I resonated with Nora and her enthusiasm about reality fixer upper TV, older buildings and looking through yards to find that something special. Neil is working on the ghost town revival with his brothers and longer than intended for this episode since Morgan broke his ankle. The dogs are still predicting that the relationship will be a good one. Both he and Nora are just a good fit and comfortable with one another. I throughly enjoyed this book. It has all twists and turns that life in Farraday Country brings with it. So nice to see all the older couples appearing in this story and the stage set for the next book.

Neil: Farraday Country Book 14 is by Chris Keniston. This is about one of the Farraday’s from Oklahoma who have come to Texas to help the Farraday’s there.
The Farraday’s have started a “reality” show involving restoring or refurbishing old houses. They started restoring a ghost town and it has taken a life of its own. So far the mercantile and a house have been finished. Now they were to start on the hotel. That is until he picked up his last phone call. It seems they are doing another house and then the hotel. That means he has to get cracking on the plans. He heads to the Pub to get something to eat and talk to his b rothers. Instead of that, he ends up having dinner and drinks with a beautiful young lady. Nora. He agrees to play boyfriend with her to get the gossips off her back.
The problem is that he enjoys her company and he doesn’t want to stop seeing her. Could that work out?

“Neil” is the new story about the Farraday family. I love this series and wish I knew people like them. Neil is an architect and he meets Nora who is a nurse working and living above the vet’s office. I really liked the way they met and their story. Add in the usual dog who shows up when love is in the air and the aunts and brothers and cousins, and you have the perfect love story. Loved the way they all came together to find a dangerous man in their town. Excellent read.

A wonderful story of the Farraday clan. This one is of Neil Farraday. They live in Tucker Bluff. This is a close knit family and they all want to know what's going on. He runs into Nora Brown ,a nurse ,who has been stood up. He pretends to be her date to help her. Each of these brothers , Owen, Ryan, Morgan and sister, Valerie have their own story. The Farraday are doing a reality show. This is a clean, well written story. I was given an ARC of this book and I highly recommend reading this book.

I really enjoyed the book. The only thing that I was iffy about was the chapters where all the woman tried to help the cops without telling the cops.
