Mondays at Sycamore House are quiet and a great time for Polly to work without interruption. But what happens when the crazy stuff erupts before she gets to work?
A dead body, Henry's phone is found by a stranger on the highway where an accident occurred, a young classmate dies bringing pain to a heart that has experienced too much, one of Polly's children is injured, a young girl is unexpectedly pregnant. Polly's quiet Monday blew apart.
What of Tuesday? A friend north of Bellingwood discovers a child walking along the gravel road. Are Polly and Henry available to foster? The obvious answer is yes, but first, Polly must confront a petty tyrant of a man in the children's ward of the hospital. Sheriff Merritt wades in to keep her from making a bad situation worse. The frightened child is forced to be alone, which breaks Polly's heart.
Relief comes in the form of Rebecca returning home early for spring break. Her arrival is the beginning of sanity. Polly's friends step in and help where they can, but her daughter is old enough to understand what Polly needs in the small moments. They only have a week, but it is enough to bring life back to normal.
Friendships might be tested, family might be pressed, but the one thing Polly believes is that love gives her the resources to overcome it all. She'll be ready for whatever is next.
Love Believes The title says it all. Love does believe! And that's why we all love Bellingwood so much. I couldn't put the book down. No matter what insanity is happening in the book or in the real world, the love that shines through this book and this series in general makes me want to live in this fictional town. I wish Bellingwood and Polly and her circle of family and friends were real. That's how much these books touch your heart.
Thank you Diane for putting your books in Kindle Unlimited. My budget doesn't stretch to buying books one by one and I'd hate to miss out on even one moment of the time I get to spend in Bellingwood.
Title from 1st Corinthians verse 13. Polly finds another body. This time in a church. Then she added a toddler to the family. They are both connected unfortunately. But the toddler has a safe and loving home with Polly. The murderer is found. All of Polly's friends help her with the new addition to Polly's already busy home.
Thirty sixth great installment in the life of Polly
I first stumbled on these books in November of 2021, which was four shot months ago. I read 35 books plus novellas back to back in less than four months folks. I have a job, pets, hobbies... but I loved being immersed in Polly's world. Couldn't even think about putting them aside for other books. In my opinion these books are skillfully crafted, especially considering her publishing schedule, which is nothing short of a phenomenon in my opinion. They are richly layered family life with a little romance, mystery, suspense, excellent parenting, human foibles, friends, art, music, cooking... so many facets. I love that I laugh out loud, that there are cultural references that I and other Weeble believer contemporaries can relate to. I love that their (her?) love of Instant pots is as deep and abiding as mine is As I wrap up number thirty six, (Love Believes) I'm sad that I will have to wait months, MONTHS, between books now. I truly hope Diane Greenwood Muir continues telling us of Polly's world for a long time to come!
Diane Greenwood Muir has outdone herself with this latest installment in the Bellingwood series. Of course there is a murder at the outset, but of greater importance is the mysterious appearance of a very little girl, unsupervised, alone, who does not speak and whose need to hide under covers speaks of a traumatic past. Polly's intervention with this little one will shape and transform the Sturtz's family life in ways that we readers can only begin to imagine. At the heart of this novel is a foundational belief in love and the life-affirming connections that relationships built on faith, hope, trust and deep affection create. And the scrapes and antics that Polly's family members and friends fall into provide leavening humor and delight.
I love reading about Polly and everyone in Bellingwood. There is always a body for Polly to find. Politicians this body early on Monday morning in the church. Polly takes in another child, this time a little girl not even two-years old. This little girl won't even talk to anyone until.they pick Rebecca up at college. Rebecca gets her to tell them .her name. There is always a morning on in Bellingwood and with Polly and her family
Polly went to drop off a pair of night stands at the church for a host family the church is helping. She can't find lights in the back door so she opens the outside door to see better bad idea. So much blood. Polly comes out and takes off her shoes goes to her SUV and calls Aaron. When she gets home she gets a call from one of Rebecca's friends moms saying g thetmy found a little girl walking down the road would she take her in? Read the rest of the things that happen in this great book!!
The Bellingwood series continues to tell the amazing stories of the people Polly has added to her life. In this book she added one more and she is in diapers! It's crazy how attached I have become to Polly and all of her family/friends/animals. The end brought tears to my eyes because of the relationships that Polly has built. This is a feel good series that includes mysteries, drama and lots of love. I tell all of my book loving friends about this series. On to the next one!
This is one of my favourite series, and this latest book doesn’t disappoint. Polly is expecting the usual quiet Monday, but she finds a body in the church, Henry is involved in an accident and Cassidy has a fall. She gets a call asking if she and Henry can take in a 2 year old found walking along the highway. It’s one of those weeks where where she has to just hold on as her plans are swept away. Luckily Rebecca comes home for spring break so is there to help.
Diane never fails us. Every trip we take to spend time with Polly, her friends and her family in Bellingwood is like a visit home. Every book in this series is fun, exciting, dramatic and full of love. There is always a new surprise. I love this series and eagerly await every new book! Thank you Diane for letting us visit our happy place every few months!
I really enjoyed this book and, as with all of the Bellingwood books, I was sorry when it was over. As soon as I finish this review I’m going to read it again. Then I’ll be waiting for the next one! Take my advice and start at the beginning of this series, fall in love with Polly and her family and Bellingwood, as I have.
Back to Bellingwood for another visit. So many things happening in one week, poor Polly! The kids are all home, with a new addition; old friends visit, and a huge gathering for a fantastic finale! Looking forward to visiting again soon, and if you haven't been here you definitely need to make plans for a visit.
I have all 36 of Polly's adventures and vignettes and recommend them to everyone! I have run out of superlatives to describe them and I can only say enjoy the joy and love that Polly and her family bring with each new book! Eagerly counting the days until the next one is here.
Bellingwood never ceases to amaze me! The characters are so lifelike. The stories so believable. It is taking a small town and the families in it and bringing them out to see the world! I love Polly and her family and friends! I have felt that kind of love! I can’t wait for the next book to see what they are all up to next!
Anxiously wait for a new book from Diane Greenwood Muir and always amazed at how much I enjoy visiting Polly and Bellingwood. The visit is always too short, but so exciting. “Love Believes” is no exception. Great story and I look forward to the next book to continue the journey!!!!!

As always Diane brings us an entertaining peek in to Polly's world yes she does find a body, and a new family member. Diane...I only have one complaint, as a male reader I wish you would get on with the restoration of the Woodies!!! It's been a long time since they were aquired.
Book 36 is the best one yet! Bellingwood is a wonderful little town. It remind me of where I grew up, in Wisconsin. I'm am already looking forward to the next book in the series. From book 1-36 the stories keep getting deeper in depth. Thank you Diane Greenwood Muir!!
This is the best story ever! Even though all books in Bellingwood series are. There is so much happening in this time. The hardest thing is when the books ends because you don't want it to end 💔 Diane Greenwood's story is so addictive that I don't want to wait to read more! I don't want Bellingwood stories ever end! Absolutely love it!
The latest installment in the Bellingwood series is super fast, full of plots and twists, and keeps the reader fully engulfed. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. What a ride!!! You don't want to miss this one!!!! Diane Greenwood Muir really outdid herself on this one. Can't wait for the next adventure.
As usual, Polly’s life is extremely busy and full. But, mysteries seem to find her no matter what she has planned. Take another visit to Bellingwood, pull up a chair, and grab your refreshment of choice! You’re going to want to stay a while.
Fantastic author and great storyline and characters
Diane Greenwood Muir has created a wonderful series that sucks you in and makes you feel like part of the family. I eagerly await the next book in the series and love seeing the characters grow and develop. I have never enjoyed a series as much as I do the Bellingwood series.
When I read the very first book, I was hooked! I put all other bids aside when Diane releases a new book in the Bellingwood series. Polly's life changes again with the addition of another child. With everything else going on in her life, it's a good thing she has her family and friends to share it with! Can't wait for #37!
Another great book in the Bellingwood series. It is ruining my life. I just keep downloading book after book. 42 seemed like a lot of books to get through. Alas, I am on book 37. I really need to hide my kindle. I don't want to catch up and then have to wait for the next book to come out. Start the Series at your own risk!
Maybe a toddler will satisfy the Bellingwood fans who think Polly should have a baby. I think she will be a great addition. I loved the mystery of this book.
Always my favorite author. I stumbled on Diane Greenwood Muir’s first book and fell in love. I have read everything she has written and can’t wait for the next story. I hope she never leaves Bellingwood.
Polly does it again in more ways than one. Finding a dead body was no surprise but a lost toddler girl was unexpected. As only Polly can do, she faces the difficulties head on and her friends and family support her all the way.
Another perfect visit with Polly and the gang in Bellingwood. This book made me laugh, and cry. I recommend you start at book 1 and see how fast you reach book 36. These books are like potato chips, you can't stop at 1.
Another great installment to the Bellingwood Series. The author is able to bring the characters to life. The characters are different age groups, deep and wonderfully real.
Diane, you truly have a gift and use it to share the community of Bellingwood with all of us. I don't know how you do it but I am truly grateful that you do. Kudos for another great book.
