Sic semper tyrannis, the show must continue. With a spin of misfortune, death surrounds you.As the devil prepares his best trick yet, there’s still one thing you must decide. How many will die for you to make it out alive?Life is but a nightmare. And nothing is what it seems. The prettiest packages conceal the most fucked up goods. His demons have demons. Her shadows have shadows.A bloodied promise chained them together.Their fatal attraction begins a manic cycle.Imprisoned in a hellish wonderland this is how they’ll remain, choosing pain and decay over lonely graves.
Grace and Kyrous. The faith and loyalty this man has for his Sunflower. 🥵
“She was placing her faith in a monster and I fucking reveled in it. It was as intoxicating as her very presence.”
Another book down, different couple and we’re still very much in the game. It’s life or death. Think Hunger Games mixed with The Saw franchise. It’s a gruesome game were the elite bet on who will survive …
“May the strongest survive, and only the most cunning thrive. Warm regards, The Infernal Syndicate."
Natalie Bennett leaves no one any safe zone. It’s a thrilling series of non stop suspense, action, spice, a dash of romance, masked men, and gruesome murdering.
Some of the players are gaining memories but we’re still questioning the who’s and and why’s… I’m literally freaking out over the ending.
Who are we supposed to trust?!
Leaves off on a cliffhanger. The game isn’t over. No one is safe. Trust no character.

This book was filled with sick twists and wrong turns. Lol The characters are all winding through the playground as before, and I hope they're getting closer to an actual exit. I want answers. I need more. I kinda feel like this book is a filler because I feel like we didn't find out alot of new things. But no matter what I still love the whole journey they are going through. The love that was really displayed off the men is so so good!!! I love that. I love that we meet Kinks! I'm sad about the ending and who we lost. Feels like it's a trick. I hope it is a trick. Lol I wish Maverick was more vocal!!!! I really love all the emotions that are felt while reading. It all plays out like demented love story movie in my head and I want more and more. We do learn a bit of background into the families and that was super cool! I love all the history, and I hope the next book gives alot of secrets and past traumas away ! I want some more play time! Lol I love being on Natalies street team!
3.5 Daemonium is the 4th installment of the Devil's Playground series. It starts where it was left off in the 2nd book, the 3d opus being a flashback taking place during Judicium (before Periculum). This time, the story is told from Grace and Kyrian's POV, but we still follow the other characters we already know. It took me some time to immerse myself back into the DP's universe, but after a while, I was able to remember the facts. Nonetheless, the steady pace was really enjoyable. The author really knows how to build up anticipation and thrill, thanks to the thick atmosphere and the imaginative setups and other traps. Once again we leave the book with a feeling of whiplash, and an palpable need for more, in spite of a writing style that could have been through better edit rounds (redundant expressions as "something else" each time an odor is described for example).
I absolutely love the twisted world Natalie Bennett has created in the Devil's Playground series. Her writing is so vivid, it plays out like a horror movie in my mind. Psychotic Ky and sweet Grace couldn’t be more opposite, but I love the dynamic between them—it just works.
As with the other books in the series, I flew through this one and was left with even more unanswered questions (which is par for the course with any of Bennett’s books—lol). That's what makes her stories so damn addictive!
However, there were quite a few grammatical errors and even some repeated paragraphs, which pulled me out of the story more than once. That’s the main reason I couldn’t give it a full five stars. I’m not sure if it was a glitch in the Kindle Unlimited edition I read or if it was published that way, but it definitely impacted the reading experience.
This is my favorite series by Natalie Bennett and I was foaming at the mouth to get my hands on this book. The book is told in the POV of Grace and Ky giving you a different perspective on everything that is happening. Everything that unfolds in this book happens much like the previous books, twists and turns at every corner. I was on the edge of my seat especially during the last four chapters...holy cow.
The girls are given costumes and put on a stage, where a girl and a boy are then murdered.
This is simply disgusting and unacceptable. I don’t care what else happens nor do I care about the final book in the series. This is simply cruel and sickening.
3.5 stars: It took me a while to remember the characters..... I liked the other books in this series, however this book just didn't seem to work for me. No questions were answered and they just go from one obstacle to the next. I just felt like this story went now were..... Not sure if I will continue with this series.
So many twists and turns in this one, but still not many answers. I was not expecting the loss of that one character nor the cliffie ending. I enjoyed the chapters alternating between Grace and Ky. This series is right up my alley.
We are back in the Devil's Playground and are taken on one crazy ride! This whole storyline is like a twisted Hunger Games. Each game gets more twisted as the books go and I love every second of it!
Once again this arthur and her writing grabs you in a chokehold and literally squeezes. Oh boy this time around it's Ky and Grace's story that ends in a cliffy. This book was intense af as the story plays out I couldn't put it down.
The crew is still together and now they have to face more games to get to the end. Book ends on a cliffhanger but I cant wait to read more of waits in the Devils Playground.
Daemonium is another good read in the series. It's just as twisted as the previous. Questions were answered but I have more! I think these two are my favorite. Can't wait for more!
I absolutely loved this book. Natalie has once again wowed us with her writing and world building. I can't wait for more from this author and look forward to what's next.
Perfectly dark and twisted as ever. The Devil’s Playground gets worse and worse the deeper we get - and I’m here for it. Love Ky and Grace and can’t wait to see what’s next.
If you’d love a mash up of the purge, saw and hunger games with some spice added in… then I definitely recommend this series, it does not get enough hype.
This is book 4, the first one of a new couple (Grace & Ky) but following the same story line.
Murder, twists and turns and obsessive romance, what’s not to love 😍
Can’t wait for what’s to come! As always, this ends on a cliffhanger that will have you on the edge of your seat.
It only gets more twisted and just when you think you are safe, 💥 !
This book is a continuation; however, deals more with Ky and Grace’s relationship. The plot was unhinged, gory and oh so typical Natalie Bennett. It will just keep you looking over your shoulder and glad you are safe in your home.
I so can’t wait for my next fix of this gruesome and fantastic series!
I have been impatiently waiting for the release of this book, and I don't know how to feel. I love this series, but omg WHY would you do this to me? I was not prepared for this death. Also, there are a few parts in ch.9 specifically that are repeated like the same wording and everything right after each other. I still love the series, but I'm hurt.
This is book 4 in the devils playground series by Natalie. You should read them in order as you will be confused if you don’t. Let me tell you this story did not disappoint. It is dark. It is bloody. It is hot AF. The characters are dark and broken. I don’t think I will ever get enough of Natalie’s dark mind and I can not wait to see what she comes up with next.
Man this Devil’s Playground just keeps getting all confusing. When you think you are finally getting answers another mystery comes to light. It definitely is a great series and I hope at the end of all this games everyone at least a few get their little slice of happiness.
