Shocking new insider information that shows what really happened in Wuhan, China, at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak and in the ensuing cover-up.
The day that Dr. Andrew G. Huff left his senior scientist and vice president role at EcoHealth Alliance was one of the happiest days of his life due to the corruption he had witnessed at the organization. However, he never thought working there would be of any great consequence to the future. He was wrong. Because, as an EcoHealth Alliance insider, Dr. Huff had had a ringside seat to one of the biggest cover-ups in history.
The Truth about Wuhan contains new research and a breakdown of how and why the development of COVID-19 in the United States and China was supported by the US government to collect intelligence on laboratories in China. Dr. Huff, an expert in the fields of bioterrorism and bio warfare, is a whistleblower who will show why the reasons the lab leak was covered up are incorrect. He worked on the classified research side of the program as a US government scientist. He knows the real how and why COVID-19 emerged. Besides exposing the conspiracy and cover-up, Dr. Huff also puts forth policy solutions and recommendations to prevent a lab leak virus from plaguing the world again.
The Truth about Wuhan simply explains the complexity of the system that led to COVID-19’s emergence; how the medical industrial complex grew and became entrenched in gain of function work after 9/11; why EcoHealth Alliance was the (almost) perfect intelligence collection cover; the policy actions and decision-making process as to why the United States government engaged in the COVID cover-up; how and why the United States swapped biotechnology with China and biomedical corporations; and the incentives for each of the actors or governments to engage and coordinate a global cover-up of COVID-19 origins.
The Truth about Wuhan also shows how and why Dr. Anthony Fauci is intricately involved in the COVID cover-up; how scientists like EcoHealth Alliance president and CEO Dr. Peter Daszak rose to power and used their influence to corrupt science and the COVID origin investigation; and how the intelligence community likely orchestrated the cover-up with Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Dr. Huff also provides personal harrowing accounts of how the US government waged a psychological operation against him to prevent him from speaking out. COVID-19 is the biggest lie, scandal, and intelligence failure in US history, and Dr. Andrew G. Huff is stepping out of the shadows to share his insider story about this failure that led to millions of deaths around the world.
This my 8th book concerning COVID by known experts that digs into the facts. Dr. Andrew G. Huff was on frontlines of Gain of Function (GoF) and Dual use Research of Concern (DURC). He worked at the EcoHealth Alliance lab and became a whistleblower exposing the GoF that led to Wuhan and the pandemic.
There were 22 chapters. The first 8 provided background on the author's life prior to his time with EHA (Eco Health Alliance). He felt they were necessary to explain what happened while he worked for EHA. They provided background information about his professional development.
In most chapters there was some distinct rambling going on. The book in summary: On October 17, 2014, President Barack Obama’s Administration declared a moratorium on gain of function research. At about the same time, EHA submitted a research proposal to NIH (National Institutes of Health) titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence”. The proposal was submitted to get funding for gain-of-function research but the wording of the proposal obfuscated this fact. It was authored by Peter Daszak, President of EHA. The book's discussion of the proposal in Chapter 9 is important and must be read closely. Chapter 13, about the PREDICT program covers the introduction of Dr. Shi Zhengli to Dr. Ralph Baric by Peter Daszak. Baric is described as the "godfather of gain of function research" and Zenghli is from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Baric taught Zhengli how to genetically engineer bat viruses using funding from the PREDICT program. Daszak pitched them both on the need to conduct gain of function studies on bat coronaviruses so that a vaccine could be created for whatever pathogenic virus resulted from the studies.
Readability: The prose didn't always flow well. Many sentences were tortured to the point of discomfort while reading them. I have the feeling that the manuscript was never proofread for grammar, syntax, readability etc. This issue was compounded by an overabundance of acronyms, many of them ridiculous. E.g. "DRASTIC" for "Decentralized Radical Autonomous Search Team Investigating COVID-19". Really! I guess when you read any account of events closely tied to government you must expect this. As an example of how perplexing the acronym situation got in this book, consider this sentence from page 225: "After reviewing the NIH policy of how GoF and DURC recombinant DNA regulation is supposed to properly function, this begs the question: Was EHA’s GoF DURC work ever reviewed by the RAC?". You better stay fully immersed (don't read a piece of it and come back later) or you will not keep up. The book could at least have provided an index of acronyms.
Huff has expressed much concern for biosafety and biosecurity throughout the book, and described the lack of it in gain of function research.
He makes clear that for most of his professional life he was surrounded by scoundrels, miscreants, and ne're-do-wells. Because of his intelligence and diligent work ethic he was able to accomplish important things in spite of them. It is his opinions of these people (particularly Peter Daszak) that helped shape his opinions of what happened regarding covid. He left EHA in 2016 but has closely documented events and issues that happened since then.
Other notes: Chapter 16: COVID Timeline starts in 1987! This chapter reiterates and summarizes the material in chapters 9 thru 15. If you got lost in the acronym stew, this chapter will bring it back together for you.
Chapter 20: describes U.S. government tactics to intimidate him, which led to his decision to become a whistle-blower. A very interesting account.
So: is this book the Truth About Wuhan? I'm inclined to believe so.
The claim of an exposé, delivered as a speculation
First, the claims/hypotheses in this book: “This is the first truth about Wuhan: there is no evidence that SARS-CoV-2 naturally emerged.” And “The second truth about Wuhan is that the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 is clearly not all China’s fault.”
The background of the accusations in the book: “The GoF work managed and conducted by EcoHealth Alliance, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and Dr. Ralph Baric at the University of North Carolina, which resulted in the creation of SARS-CoV-2, was the most sophisticated, complex, and complicated GoF research and engineering known to man.” And then “In the proposal, USAID is credited by both American and Chinese researchers listed in the proposal as providing the funding to form the relationship between American and Chinese scientists, and to collect the necessary biological samples from bats to obtain coronaviruses. Without USAID’s funding, the relationship between EHA, the WIV, and UNC would not have occurred, Dr. Baric’s advanced methods and sophisticated biotechnology would not have been transferred to China, and, without USAID’s funding, they would not have collected the first bat coronavirus samples in China.”
And another big accusation: “In 2020, mRNA COVID-19 vaccines received emergency authorization from the FDA under artificial conditions due to the US government’s suppression of other effective treatments. According to FDA regulation, an emergency use authorization is only warranted if “there are no adequate, approved, and available alternatives.” On February 21, 2021, there was a complete match found between Moderna’s 2016 patent application and the genetic sequence of SARS-CoV-2 circulating in humans. This would have been virtually impossible unless the Moderna vaccine from 2016 and the pathogen that emerged in China were co-developed.”
But then the methodology to figure out the truth: “To get to the truth about whether SARS-CoV-2 was leaked or intentionally released, I like to use scenario analysis to determine which scenarios are the most likely. Then, I use qualitative or quantitative methods to make objective comparisons between the scenarios. As before, the first step is developing or imagining all the potential scenarios and trying to eliminate as many as possible with logic.”
Hence, the tl;dr conclusion: The data presented by this book are incredible at a first glance, but if we look closer there are nothing wrong with the data if viewed separately, and only “seems” problematic if we read the narration surrounds it. Hence, this is not a whistleblower exposing what had happened and presents us with the hard evidence. But instead, this is a supposedly insider being suspicious and then speculate on what could have possibly happened. There’s a huge difference between the two. And for a book that have big claims, the author sure uses these words a lot in his narration: “likely”, “I’m guessing”, “I would suspect” and “I feel”, as well as the mother of all sentences in chapter 19: “I have some ideas as to why, but only a formal investigation will provide us with the real reason.”
Now the longer version of the review:
This book promises so many but after screening out the noise, it eventually delivers so little. It was supposed to be a groundbreaking tell-all exposé about one of the main problems in the world right now: the origins of the COVID-19 virus, and who leaked it.
But instead, it took the first 6 chapters (chapter 2-7, after introduction in chapter 1) as a memoir on who Dr. Andrew G. Huff is, which is way too long involving not the relevant information about his background but instead dwelling on his time at school then US military deployments in first Honduras and then in Iraq.
It was only after 26% of the book that it started to tell about the time he worked at EcoHealth Alliance (EHA), a lab that allegedly work together with the Wuhan institute of virology to create SARS-CoV-2. However, instead of getting straight into the scandalous decision makings, Dr. Huff complains about how his co-workers in EHA were all, in his own words, “useful idiots.” And proceeded to rant about the long list of stuff he seems to be keeping inside for quite some time, which had nothing to do with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and a lot to do with the list of personnel and the office politics.
But I still gave the benefit of the doubt, because after all context is king. For example, his US military deployment to Honduras, where he met with spies and narco traffickers, could teach him early on about international politics. A background understanding that would make him well versed when it comes to Wuhan problem. And perhaps the context of working in the EHA environment will provide further clue on the incompetency level in dealing with the deadly new virus. But sadly, if there is a point in all of his rants, it was still buried among the unnecessary stories, even in chapter 11 (out of the total of 22 chapters).
Now, when chapter 12 comes, Dr. Huff is starting to dwell on how EHA is funded, but instead of laying out the precise structure in a concise manner, we get “At the annual charity event that I attended; I was asked to court male billionaires that were gay by Anthony. I am a straight man—not that it matters—but I have been told by gay men, including my friend and former colleague Anthony Ramos, that my fashionable dress attire, personal grooming, and overall appearance causes gay men to find me attractive.” Another wasted space focusing on the wrong side of things.
Indeed, after 50% on the reading progress, this becomes one of those books that instead of telling it straight who are the people involved and what they did / are doing, the author write this instead: “If you take a quick look at the current EHA board of directors and search for their names on an internet search engine, you will find that many of them are part of the ultra-wealthy elite, and many have strong ties to the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and food production industries. Some of these companies have long histories of polluting and destroying the planet; namely putting profits over people.”
But hold on, while he made that bold claim and ask us to search it ourselves in search engine, Dr. Huff then elaborate by saying “You shouldn’t use Google to search due to their involvement in funding EcoHealth, and others have suggested that their search algorithm has been manipulated to information tied to the COVID origin story. Some of these wealthy people were Democrats and some were Republicans. Regardless of party affiliation, I believe that their main concerns in life were maintaining or increasing their wealth.”
Yes, this whole exposé looks like not an exposé after all, but rather an allegation with unclear facts. And as I read on, the book increasingly feels more like of a narcissistic autobiography (70%) wrapped with the promise of an exposé that are in truth looks more like borderline conspiracy theories and suggestive narratives (30%). Seems like a huge opportunity missed here, because he can state that “It is only with these powerful and ultrawealthy donors that EcoHealth had enough funding to remain solvent and create SARS-CoV-2 over a period of roughly six years. From 2014 to 2016, EcoHealth Alliance finally figured out how to obtain large US government contracts” without further elaboration on who exactly the donors are and why is it a crime for them to fund the EHA. Because without further proof that this is actually something wrong, this sentence is only baiting people to think in a conspiracy way.
It wasn’t until chapter 15 that it finally get down to its main topic, with chapter 1-14 can actually be scrapped from the book and chapter 15 can serve as the introduction instead, with all the explanation of US involvement in the research of bioweapons.
Chapter 16-17 are where Dr. Huff really presents his core arguments for this book. In particular this sentence: “These discussions resulted in publications indicating that Dr. Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance, was working with the CIA, and that the biological agent commonly known as COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) had been in development at EcoHealth Alliance since 2012, and other evidence suggested that SARS-CoV-2 began earlier than 2012. The development of SARS-CoV-2 included several prominent US-based scientists and US academic institutions that received funding from numerous federal government agencies and private non-governmental organizations to complete the gain of function work on SARS-CoV-2.”
Furthermore the list of sequences after the COVID-19 became a pandemic is the closest thing as a hard proof data that looks hard to refute, with Dr. Huff’s conclusion as follows: “In my opinion, many of the people listed in this chapter behaved like a pharmaceutical pseudoscience mafia entrenched in the halls of the medical military industrial complex.”
But that’s just it, his opinion. The book promises to reveal but can only speculate, very convincingly, I must say. But after a second and third glance, the hard data still do not directly linked while the proof-less allegations are treated like facts. Hence, the book remains one of those journalism coverage or documentaries that have existed in the past 3 years, adding only to the noise and not providing a closure to the conspiracies.
And it gets weirder. In chapter 17 Dr. Huff is attempting to figure out how and why the virus was leaked by Wuhan Institute of Virology, through few different possible scenarios and then he guides us one by one to eliminate the possibilities and narrow down the conclusion. Yup, speculation after speculation, while not providing any proof on what happened. If you must know, the nominees include: global corporate greed, attempt to damage president Donald Trump, and an event that he thinks is similar like the Chernobyl incident in Soviet union in 1986 and the “Communist government’s” attempt to hide it.
So, after all of this, the big question remains: is he telling the truth? Chapter 20 serves as a bizarre attempt to validate himself as a whistleblower where he claims to be subjected to illegal psychological operation by the government, in order to shut him up. This includes drones spying above him, series of trespassers, hackers, wiretappings, and cars following him. The chapter itself is 30 pages long, almost 10% out of the total book. So, it must be true then? You know what, after finishing the book, I still don’t know. I guess nobody knows for sure except him.
Because, to be perfectly fair, let’s take a look at the counter-arguments made by the institute that Dr. Huff accuses, the EHA, in response of the book. Read it and judge it yourself: https://www.ecohealthalliance.org/202...
Carl Sagan once said that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. To this regard, he did presents a lot of data, but the data are actually not direct evidences to anything. And instead, he creates a narration around the data to make a calculated speculation. It’s such a pity that he fails to elaborate on these extraordinary claims and fail to back it up with solid and clear evidence. Had he done this, this could be a massive game changer.
And in the end of the day if the intention was to tell the truth, I believe it could’ve been just done through a long article instead of a whole book filled with unnecessary gimmicks. But to his credit he did write an article about this but was rejected for publication in all the leading health policy and health economics journals. I wonder why.
In the author's defense, I didn't read all of it (I gave up in chapter 16 out of 22.) The book reads like he's A: paid by the word B: trying to get his doctorate by using the most convoluted phraseology and longest words possible C: not writing for the layman and D: thinks that all he has to do is explain an acronym once and you will remember it forever. Practically unreadable. Not completely unreadable, or else there wouldn't be so many reviews of it, but personally my time is worth more than this. There are other, better places to get your information from.
As far as I can observe, this is the 6th and certainly not the last book about sars-cov2 origin. We have earlier books by Joseph Mercola, Sharri Markson, Matt Ridley/Alina Chan, Richard M. Fleming, Pamela A Popper/ Shane D Prier and finally one coming someday in May or June 2023 by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (will it the bestseller like his book about Fauci and Gates?..I remain skeptical).
This one is definitely not the best and represents well known since more than 2 years 'lore' about origin enigma. The most important controversy about unnatural genetic sequence of spike protein is not addressed by this author (it is however by others, notably by Dr. Fleming who has been perhaps the first among plethora of international scientists to notice it). If Dr. Huff's intention was to tell the truth, I believe it could’ve been just done through a long article instead of a whole book filled with unnecessary parts/chapters.
There is a great series of related articles at Brownstone Institute. The first starts on January 10/2023: "Rumors of the Lab Leak Began with US Intelligence", and later, scattered among other articles are: "FOIA Doc Shows BioNTech Founders Postdated Start of C19 Vax Project" "The Early Career of Covid Czar Robert Kadlec" "Engineered, Yes, but in the Wuhan Lab?" "Timeline: The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2" "It Started Before the Outbreak: A BioNTech-“Pfizer” Vax Project Timeline" "Everything You Need to Know About the Lab Leak " "Vaccine Harms Are Biodefense Plan’s Collateral Damage"..this one last dated: Feb. 17th.
In conclusion: Huff's book is the least popular among others mentioned above. I figure, people are tired of reading about PROTECTED EVIL DEEDS that will never be allowed to be completely exposed. This is not the first time of course. More examples: JFK assassination, Gary Webb's death, WCT 7 (9/11), Nord Stream pipeline and many more. therefore my suggestion: save your money, read articles (if you still want to dig into this murky subject).
Meticulous and detailed. A bit petulant in places. Eighty pages on introductory biography that is irrelevant. But after that some hard hitting claims. But is any of it true? How would I know!
There are lots of villains in Andrew Huff's mind, and not just those he claims unleashed Covid-19.
Huff's enemies list includes the "corrupt" Michigan State Police, the F.B.I., his former colleagues at EcoHealth Alliance and even USAA Insurance (do NOT say anything positive to Andrew about those fiends at USAA Insurance). Apparently Mr. Huff was a central focus of the grand SARS-CoV-2 Conspiracy, as we are told that he was "surveilled by drones" and "followed everywhere he went". They even listened to him in his home. He must've been a very important guy!! Strange though, that the Forces of Evil did all this stuff yet were somehow unable to stop publication of his book.
You get to wade through a ton of irrelevant personal history, as is common to a lot of these whistleblower-tells-all books (he wanted to be a fighter pilot, he drank and smoked too much in his youth etc. etc.) before getting to any semi-specific accusations, which are very short on actual evidence. There is also a bunch of blather condemning Covid-19 vaccines, which Huff inaccurately labels as "gene therapy". People peddling unsubstantiated theories and rumors about the origin of SARS-Cov-2 also commonly attempt to demonize vaccines and attack other effective public health measures to contain the pandemic. It seems to be part of a generalized effort to get us to distrust public health leaders and experts in infectious disease and epidemiology, while gaining attention for themselves and boosting their book sales, public speaking fees and other lucrative sources of income.
Readers may be interested in what Huff's former colleagues at EcoHealth Alliance have to say about his "revelations".
This is an important book by a "whistleblower" who was uniquely positioned to write about Eco Health Alliance, public health, the government, the military, academia, the scientific research community, etc... Andrew is definitely an interesting person, and I enjoyed most of his background info and stories, but I can definitely see how some readers might find all the off-topic material frustrating. I felt like he went though his whole life story to prove to the reader that he's got the expertise to make all the claims about Wuhan and other things, but to me it was unnecessary. I can tell he's an impressive man and didn't need to be beaten over the head with it. The part about the government harassing him over his blowing the whistle on everything was insane and the most entertaining part of the book. I've never read anything like what he describes happening to anyone before, and it shows how corrupt and dishonorable our law enforcement can be. At times the book got detailed and confusing, and I was wishing the chapter had a summary at the end to pound home the important points. Like COVID came from a lab, COVID and the vaccine were developed at the same time, the US trained China on how to create COVID, etc... Sometimes you'd read all this incredibly detailed stuff and then at the end not know what the main points were.
The evidence and arguments made by Dr. Huff here are well thought-out and frightening in the evidence he presents. An important discussion, with many details and processes that will no doubt be hashed out and clarified by historians in the future.
The first limitation/criticism of his book is the extensive discussion of his background. Ni doubt he needed to present his own experiences and qualifications for makibg his assertions. But ge could have done it in a much tighter, summarized fashion. I’m not sure who is more to blame for this, Dr. Huff’s writing or poor editing. Going on for pages and pages about his training for the Army infantry and minute details of every class he took in school may be pertinent to him, but waste a lot of time for the reader. There were whole chapters I struggled to speed-read as fast as I could to get to the more important parts of the book.
Also, while his criticisms of the EcoHealth Alliance are no doubt on-point, he allows too much of his own personal criticisms/name-calling, making his presentation of clear evidence often clouded by a sense of a personal attack.
Important read, but some parts will seem long to reader.
The author has concrete information and has given a deposition under oath, and there are a number of cited facts that can be independently verified. There are also a number of other facts that have emerged from several other sources of very high repute which are consistent with the overall scenario, so I find the core claims completely believable. The author also seems to be somewhat of an odd character so I will reserve judgement on some claims of being followed etc. But those are not important. He is clearly upset and has reason to be. Unfortunately, his desire to tell his whole story expands the book considerably beyond that which most interests me, hence 4 stars rather than 5. The truth is coming out, and the author will be vindicated and hopefully recognised properly for his courageous contributions.
This book contains vital information for those who want to know how COVID-19 became a pandemic. The author spends a lot of time writing about himself and his work history to prove he is qualified and knowledgeable on this topic. While this is appreciated, it was over the top. There is too much information that could be condensed.
If you don't mind reading about things other than COVID, you'll love this book. If not, you can skim through those sections.
All in all a good read and highly recommended. Could use some edits and updates to make it a more efficient read, IMHO.
The author put himself at great risk publishing this book. I was shocked to find out how blatant the government was in attacking him and making him miserable.
I wish him the best of luck going forward and hope he and his family stay safe.
Eye Opener: This book was a HUGE eye opener! It is NOT a democratic VS republican book. It does not even address the political affiliation of those he writes about. All of the info in this book is supported by documents from others which he has included or has testified/submitted to under penalty of perjury. It is well written and all information is thoroughly cited. I encourage anyone with questions about the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus or COVID-19 as it's more widely known.
Well, if you care to know how the shutdown came to be. This book, will provide insight to questions concerning who, why, and how is brought to light by the author of this informational book. Because of Andrew Huff’s determination to get this (Whistle blower) information published (wasn’t easy). The Department of energy changed their thinking concerning the origins of this virus. (The cat’s out of the bag)
Dr. Huff shows compelling evidence of the COVID-19 pandemic being genetically engineered and the massive cover-up and lie perpetuated by complicit actors in the US Government in collaboration with China. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to understand the origins of this virus. Prepare yourself to be angry and terrified. Thanks Dr. Huff for taking the heat for Americans.
I loved the facts and background information. Unfortunately it was hard to follow because the writing style was poor. I wish it was better written - it would be a page turner. Unfortunately I had to do a lot of skimming. But overall it’s worth the journey to plow through and understand what really happened.
I have done my home work too. We are where we are today because of willful ignorance and denial. Andrew offers it to you his part. Your part is validate and action. We have a crooked government that must be replaced with honest people. Fair and accurate voting the most important. Your personal involvement is critical.
The more I read about Covid and the cover up the more messed up it is. This book (written by I suspect an undiagnosed autistic doctor) ties together a lot of the patterns I've been reading about in other books on Covid. Highly recommend. It's technical and blunt much like an autistic person, so if you can't handle that you can read another Covid book about the cover up there are many
We are in need of the #Truth. Why were so many people allowed to die? What went wrong? Who benefits? Who will pay for the #Lies? How can we all stop the #DeathJabs?
Good solid information, well documented. However skip the first 85 pages unless you really want to read about the authors life. Save some time & start with Chapter 9 (page 89)
