Morgan VanDolen is an accomplished athlete, but joining a softball team for the first time as an adult threatens to pitch some dents into her pride. In the face of a frustrating learning curve, Morgan finds inspiration in her new Marina Martin. A Snow White beauty with a Mona Lisa smile, Marina is as talented as she is attractive. There’s just one Marina is in a relationship. With a man. But Morgan has cause to Marina is bisexual. At least, Marina thinks she is. Her lack of experience has led to a lifetime of self-doubt, which isn’t helped by others’ perceptions of bisexual women in “straight” relationships. Marina wants to settle her doubts once and for all, but will circumstances ever allow it?
I am in a Facebook group with the author of this book, and when I saw it was part of Kindle Unlimited a decided to give it a read. I enjoyed reading it, it's nice to read a book with bisexual representation. The story was simple and sweet, but there were quite grammar mistakes and typos.
I liked the wide representation in this story: Bi & lesbian MCs; bi, lesbian, straight and ENM side characters. I feel like Natalie Falkenwrath did a good job showing how biphobic some sapphics can be, as well as Marina’s experience struggling with her sexuality.
I was a little confused on the age group of these women. I don’t think it was mentioned. I felt it would be early 30’s by jobs and such, but some of the writing came off more like early 20’s
Bisexuals unite! Here's the bisexuals' chance to shine, be a star, get the girl and be a softball queen! 3.5 stars for a nice little read of a shortstop's road to finding happiness. Not bad, a little cliche with a lot of pride.
