R. O’Leary lives in North Pole, Alaska (no, really). When she’s not spending half the year freezing to death, she’s writing about shifters and aliens and anything else that strolls through her head. Most of her day is spent in pajama pants, chasing the pack of corgis that have claimed her living room as their own.
Furbidden Attraction is the first installment in R. O’Leary’s new paranormal romance series.
Eliza has taken my interest since the beginning of this series. A banshee is such a unique paranormal creature, and I loved the aspect of her not being able to talk. I was very interested to see who her hero would be. She is a grump that hates that the Council has overtaken her cafe for their regular meetings.
Creed is a notorious hacker on several watchlists and the brother of Rainy (Heroine of Unbearable Temptation). He has been enlisted to help track down the "big bad" of this series using his skills as a hacker. He is instantly enthralled with Eliza and forces her to make her cafe his workspace.
As they are forced to be together and work together to track down the villain, their feelings for one another grow.
This series is a fun breath of fresh air. The plots always feel unique and perfectly balance the gore/peril with cute banter and relationships. The books are fast paced and are easy to jump into after time has passed. I am very excited for the hints for the couple of the next book. And I will definitely be checking out the other books that R. O'Leary has written.
I had been looking forward to Eliza’s story since we met her and both loved and was a little disappointed. I would have loved for her to not have been able to speak bc she was doing fine with out needing to talk and it showed a disability in a positive light. Also the end of the book seemed a bit rushed. We were left with a lot of questions and it just kinda seemed to end with out explanation of some things. Still can’t wait till Jenna’s story!
Screaming Sins is book seven in the series Raven Falls Curses Romances by author R. O’Leary. Ok so this could be a close second to my favorite in this series. I am absolutely obsessed with Creed- his sense of humor and outlook is irresistible. Now, Eliza is feisty, sassy, sweet and so very brave. Creed is a genius and he knows it- so a silent but very deadly Eliza will help put him in his place. Ok so there’s a bad guy out there everyone has been trying to find him. Creed is close until something very bad happens. Eliza must decide was everything worth it. Enjoy!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this! The whole series is really cute and easy to read and while the content could potentially be quite gruesome and spooky, it’s offset with humour and sarcasm.
Creed was a perfect fit for Eliza. His goofy optimism really meshed well with her grumpy cynicism and I was rooting for them from the get go!
I cannot wait for the next books! We got a glimpse into which couple might be next and my curiosity is piqued! Seriously screaming for this series 💚🖤
3.5 ⭐️ I appreciated a bit more angst from Creed and Eliza It was lovely to see Eliza have some light shoved on her and I didnt realise how good Creed would be at it. I liked the fact that even with barriers they communicated better than so many other couples. I am still frustrated that I feel the over arching plot is moving at glaci speed but I really like Creed and Eliza and I’m glad they found each other
I really enjoyed this book and these two characters. Creed is excellent and really entertaining, although he’d probably drive me nuts with his constant noises. And I’m so happy Eliza allows herself this happiness.
Loved, loved, loved this entry to the series! I laughed so much, fell in love with the characters, and got very emotional in the last chapters - only R. O'Leary does this to me :D Can't wait for my next fix of her amazing books!
I really enjoyed this one. I liked that there was a more human aspect to the whole thing. I could feel Eliza's frustration with everyone, but especially John and Creed.
I have officially read the last two books available in one day. I cannot recommend these more for paranormal readers. I’m looking forward to the next book!
