The moment Isobel stumbles at an art show and destroys an expensive art piece on her way down, her life changes irrevocably. Suddenly on the radar of two handsome artists, she is whisked away from her current life as a broke college drop-out and emerged in the world of the rich and famous. But love is complicated when not one, not two, but three men hold a piece of your heart...
"Repaying the debt" is a single POV contemporary RH with a clear preference for spicy scenes. There is a story and some plot development, but I believe the majority is smut. I personally prefer more plot in the books I read, but there was still enough left to let me finish it. The only thing I had a hard time with, was the fact that while this is a reverse harem, I missed "the talk" on time to make sure everyone was on the same page. I'm sensitive to cheating and for me, this book did toe the line with that.
Izzy/Isobel goes with her friend to an art show where she meets Cyrus, famous musician, and Leo, the artist whose work is being shown. Izzy accidentally destroys valuable piece of art - Leo then blackmails her to pretend to be his fiancé since she can’t afford to pay the damages. But things very quickly turn into a very hot and steamy relationship with Leo and Cyrus, and separately with Leo's stepbrother, Ian. Leo and Cyrus have previously been in a similar relationship with one another that didn’t end well. Izzy isn't sure where they're all going but until they figure things out, there's plenty of action including light bondage, light spanking, multiple partners, sex in public, and more. Some sexy good action. After finishing the book, I still find myself with some unanswered questions regarding Ian – Did Izzy finally fall in love with him? Did he get to be with the other person he was in love with too and was that love returned?
This is my first book by this author, and i got an ARC copy from booksprout and leave this review voluntary.
Am loving the simple cover it looks simple but its very stunning and i love that about it, it sure caught my eye.
What a awesome book. If am to describe the book i would say its like 50 shades lite meets RH
I loved the world building around them a little fast some times but no insta love. The characters were well written and are not plain or boring they each bring something unique to the table and i loved that.
The steamy bits are tastefull loved the details and dynemic between them be it just 2 of with all 4 of them it was a fresh & sweet take on things.
I knew the basic premise of the story from the blurb and that it was a reverse harem story but I didn't think that it would end up the way that it did. I had to take time to read this book because I thought I was doubting my eyes for a minute. I've read other books with slightly similar premises but none of them had this many twists and turns. I didn't know if I should have been jealous that she got a bunch of attention or worried for her with all the amount of drama that she got. Either way, I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more of Knight's work. I even did a book blog for it, so read that if you want to know my full thoughts.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Phew, that was spicy! Isobel is dragged to the latest art show for the famous glass blower Leo with her best friend Chrissy. After meeting the famous Rockstar Cyrus she is introduced to Leo, but in doing so she is pushed into the main piece that he is showcasing and it smashes to the ground. To help pay pay off the piece of art she broke she agrees to play Leo's fiancé. Leo's step brother Ian turns out to be her favorite writer and it seems that everyone likes to share and enjoy. The group and individual scenes were good and I enjoyed the M/M action. This was a good book! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Isabelle stumbles into an art gallery and mistakenly breaks a piece of art. She accepts a deal to repay the debt, but didn't plan on gaining three love interests.
The steam of this book! Normally, the plot would be the biggest portion of the book, but this one focuses on the steam and relationships between characters. While the plot isn't the biggest part, the author did gives us a story that was a worth while read.
Repaying the Debt is a medium burn reverse harem story about a woman who causes damage to a piece of art and must repay her debt in an unconventional way. The relationships of the group develop and there is ample drama to keep the storyline exciting while still providing the “warm fuzzies” needed in a good romance novel. This book turned me into a fan and I will continue to follow this author!
This story finds Isobel in trouble with three famous and sinfully hot men: artist Leo, musician Cyrus and author Ian. The chemistry within this group is incredibly steamy and their darkness-to-love interactions between all four characters were my favourite part. My first read by Jane Knight, but with this level of heat, it won’t be my last.
I have never read Jane knight before this book. I am now a fan. I couldn’t get enough of Leo and cy. I was worried Delaney would cause trouble but it was the father of course.
