Boston’s Elite

Wicked Hot Baby Daddy

Rate this book
The player doctor left behind more than a broken heart.

Dr. James Rudolf made Yvette Sinclair believe in fairy tales, and he was her Prince Charming. Then out of the blue, he stopped taking her calls. Blocked them would be a more accurate descriptor.

Devastated, Yvette had no idea why the man she thought was the one had ghosted her. Even harder, she was three thousand miles away, so she couldn’t just show up at his house and demand an explanation. Then her best friend started seeing him around Boston—a different beautiful woman on his arm each time. She felt like such a fool.

She was determined to move on and forget all about the playboy. Until two pink lines made that impossible.

USA Today and Amazon best-selling author, Tess Summers is a former business woman and teacher who always loved writing but never seemed to have time to sit down and write a short story, let alone a novel. Now battling MS, her life changed dramatically, and she has finally slowed down enough to start writing all the stories she'd been wanting to tell, including the fun and sexy ones! Married over twenty-five years with three grown children, Tess is a former dog foster mom who ended up failing and adopting them instead. She and her husband (and their six dogs) split their time between the desert of Arizona and the lakes of Michigan, so she's always in a climate that's not too hot and not too cold, but just right!

Another celibate & pregnant heroine and man-whore hero!

Overall this was not well written. The general idea of this book was a good one, a professional couple meet and having instant chemistry and connection but then have to navigate a long distance relationship. The execution of this book however was misguided and clunky. It seemed like the plot wasn’t planned out in advance and depended way to much on a stupid misunderstanding as the driving conflict. This left the story rather thin, which I think the author knew and tried to make up for with a whacktastic, almost tragically stupid twist at the 90% mark. I was left shaking my head and underwhelmed.
I also had a big problem with the hero of this book, he was really weak and tstl.
Basically this dude ghosts his burgeoning love after a confusion with her roommate’s boyfriend. He then goes on a sex spree with many strippers to protect his poor broken heart. I am way over the stupid man-whore character and this one was the stupidest of them all. Warning to those of you who don’t like cheating or the hero sleeping around after meeting the heroine, this hero does it and for no good reason. The heroine *of course* remains celibate and heartbroken and she then accepts him back without a big enough grovel, like she was stuck with him because she was pregnant so she just accepted her circumstances. Why do authors hate women and make them suffer in fiction?
Also the third person narrative of this book was very distracting for me as it read in present tense and felt juvenile. I often felt like I was listening to a child speak, or Elmo from Sesame Street. ‘Yvette didn’t sing Christmas carols, what was Yvette even doing?’ I’d suggest the author start writing in a first person narrative if she wants to live in the characters’ heads this much, it would make the reading much smoother.
Anyway this read was a miss for me overall as the story was all over the place, lacked heart and the hero was a big nope.

not that great

Stop writing women as doormats…. The MFC deserved more than the coward baby daddy! Miscommunication leads to his ego being bruised, he doesn’t confront her, just blocks her, and whores it up with strippers. Meanwhile, she’s confused pregnant, and mopping over him… come to find out he was completely wrong and an idiot. He barely grovels… she ends up in his bed 5 seconds later… and because he has plans to win her back.. it should excuse his crap…. NOoooooo effing way. He even brought a stripper to her bed and breakfast to make her jealous… she deserved better than this weak excuse of a man! So worthless… author should’ve gifted her with a real man who knows how to treat a woman he loves… and leave this POS in her dust.

This is part of the Boston's Elite Series which features five doctor's who are part of the elite in Boston society. This book features Dr. James Rudolf and Yvette. He was a well known doctor and a well known playboy in the Boston area. Yvette fell for him right away and their chemistry was off the charts. Her heart was broken when he started ignoring her. She was on the other side of the country when she found out she was pregnant. What about all the women he is seen with? What happens when he shows up again wanting her? Does she tell him about the baby? Does she risk her heart and give him another chance? This was a well written book that grabs your attention right at the beginning and keeps your interest. I read an advance copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
I enjoyed the storyline of this book however I did find it drawn out and some of the stupid drama was unnecessary. James ghosts Yvette after she goes home after visiting her bff and meeting him. The reasoning for the ghosting was really lame and if James just asked... Yvette for being a pregnant single business minded woman really didn't put up a fight when James rocked up at her b and b with another woman and then declare to want her back and to be a family. The other women James was with put him off him(yes I know he wasn't with Yvette).
There were some discrepancies throughout this book that hopefully will be sorted before releasing.

Meh.

I mean, I read it in a day, but it's not anything to write home about. Especially not with James's idiotic man-baby behavior. His reason for ghosting Yvette was so damn stupid and him becoming a manwhore with a "stable of women" after ghosting her was even more pathetic. I never would have taken him back, baby or no... Not sure if I'll even bother with the next book in the series.

Can we just communicate???

I'm all for second chance stories but this was frustrating. The first third of the book repeats events from books 1 & 2 in the series, in some parts word for word. That was a waste. Then because James can't act like an adult and talk to Yvette, things go sideways. I'm disappointed in this because the last book was so good and this was a let down. Here's hoping the next book is better.

I don’t even know what to say about this book. It was bad!

I don’t know how I feel about all these stories running side by side. Its just the same stories over and over with different main character and its getting kinda boring

Yvette and James meet when everyone goes to Stephens beech house. Its very insta love. The shake hands and sparks fly. They hang out the whole weekend and have sex straight away. Then she goes to his house for a few days and they both think they have found the one. He says over and over how he wants a wife and a family and he isn’t a playboy like his brother.

She has to go home which is far away. She is Hopes friend from the first book and Hope wants to help her open a bed and breakfast near her. It jumps 3 weeks and she has to go to Mexico. She is trying to contact him to let him know but he’s ghosted her.

Then Hope tells her she saw him at the gala with another woman. Yvette is devasted cos she thought they had something special.

He for some reason thinks she has a boyfriend so I he starts sleeping with strippers. The man who said casual sex never interested him is now having casual sex with every woman he meets. I mean he cheats on her basically cos he doesn’t have the decency to break up with her. He is one of the worst MMC I have ever read.

Hope convinces her to finally open that B&B so she moves near them. And she’s pregnant. Hope tells her she needs to tell James and she says maybe she will. He ghosted her how does she tell him. He doesn’t deserve to know.

Then Evan tells James to go check out the B&B but to go alone. He doesn’t cos he is a massive dick and he takes a woman. Yvette comes out very pregnant sees them and faints. He runs to her and one of her employees tells him she is pregnant.

He then sends his stripper away and he suddenly wants to fight for her. Just acts like nothing happens and she is way too nice about it. She doesn’t jump back into his bed on the first day which offends James at first but she’s in his bed the second day.

You find out he went to surprise her at her house and there was a guy there so assumed it was her boyfriend. He feels bad for not just asking Yvette, but it just confirmed his dick status to me.
He is there as much as he can and it was admiral how he steps up but it was too little to late in my book and she has basically forgiven him already. Grow a backbone woman!!

Then she asks him to marry her?? WTF!! I just can’t with these people.

So his brother calls him out for not only ghosting Yvette but also the stripper who he was casually dating. So he calls her and asks to meet. They do and she’s all over him. He tells her he is having a baby and getting married but she wont stop so he kicks her out of the car.

Obviously someone took pictures and sends them to Yvette. She sends them to James who jumps in his car to get to her. She decides to trust him and wait for him to get there before she makes any rash decisions. The man has never given you a reason to trust him but ok.

When he gets to the B&B she is gone. Her ring and a letter are left on the table. Hope readds in and says she has clearly been kidnapped by his brothers girlfriend. Ok that was easy.

I just cant believe that was the kidnappers plan. I mean come on talk about stupid! Apart from wetting herself cos they wouldn’t let her go to the toilet she was fine. She is rescued and they get married.

They both talk about there parents but neither of them are in the book.

The wedding is the epilogue.

This is just a mess and James is not a book boyfriend! They should have just co-parented and Yvette should have found someone else.

Yvette and James met at Steven's beach house and it was instant attraction. Yvette is from San Diego and James lives in Boston so distance is a issue from the start. Yvette also has an job offer in Mexico on the table, so this weekend spent with James makes her rethink her career path. James has been looking to settle down and believes that person is Yvette, but when he tries to surprise Yvette in California things take a wrong turn. Yvette has wondered for months why James cut all ties with her without an explanation, but fate is not do e with them yet. When Yvette finds out she is pregnant, she moves to Boston and opens an B&B with hope. When James finds out Yvette is pregnant and he has made an huge mistake, he pulls out all the stops to win her back. Just when things are looking up fate throws a money wrench in their HEA. This was a fast and enjoyable read. I cannot wait for Zach's book.

Yvette and James meet through mutual friends and hit it off. They see each other even though they don't live in the same state. Then one day Yvette tries to contact James only to find out that he has blocked her on all his contacts. Upset about this she doesn't understand why he did this but tries to move on. She ends up partnering up with her friend to run a Inn. Then when they were hosting a wedding for a mutual friend James shows up with a date and this sends Yvette into a faint. Will James explain why he did what he did? Can they move past him ghosting her and hooking up with strippers?

This is a great story I just wished the female character made him work harder to be with her. I loved the Gilmore Girls references. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Another Great Storyline in a Fantastic Series…
The storyline was written as well as the previous story of Hope’s move to Boston. This storyline features Hope’s BFF, Yvette, moving to Boston as well and finding herself instantly attracted to James, an Anesthesiologist. She also was pregnant and not sure about James after he ghosts her. He will have to prove himself all over again but can he before the baby is born?
The flow of the story was even and never bogged down. Characters from the previous book appeared in this story which always leads to good continuity.
I’m definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. PEACE. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wicked Hot Baby Daddy is part of the Boston’s Elite series and it’s the story of James and Yvette.
I could feel the chemistry between the two of them right from the start. And I loved the surprise baby trope. Their road to happiness is not all smoothed out though. I don’t want to give away the story, but believe that at some point Yvette’s reaction was very strong. That might have been the pregnancy hormones, who knows. On the other hand: her parents set a bad example when it came to marriage.
What I didn’t expect was the twist near the end of the story.
All in all it’s another great story from one of my favourite authors!

I received an arc of this book and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I enjoyed reading this book, loved how this book started. With James and Yvette meeting and feeling an instant attraction straight away. They start a long distance relationship and it works. Only it stops all of a sudden and Yvette doesn't understand why. It gets back to her that he's being a man whore until his friend makes him go and see Yvette. Only then does all the so-called drama come out. For a grown man he sure acted like a kid. Only he wants Yvette to forgive him. He should have man up and talked to her and would have known better. I think Yvette forgives too easily, something i would struggle with. Otherwise a good read.

Enjoyed the storyline with drama, misunderstandings, passion, romance, and love. Yvette and James meet and have a wonderful start to a beautiful romance. Then Yvette never hears from James again and he's blocked her calls. There is a major misunderstanding between them. How is she going to tell him that she's pregnant when she's miles away. Then they see each other again James is surprised. Now he has to work to win Yvette and his baby and keep them in his life. Had me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Will they finally get their HEA?.

Wicked Hot Baby Daddy
Boston’s Elite
By Tess Summers

It’s been awhile since I’ve read Tess Summers, taking the few Amazon ads that were showing up on the feed had me saying..lets pick this one and try.

Yvette is 29 years old and although she loves her job in San Diego, she really misses her best friend who moved to Boston. When the opportunity to visit her best friend, Yvette is on a plane to Boston. This trip might be the first step in opening several doors, one maybe going into business and two maybe she found her forever person.

Dr. James Rudolf is ready to start a serious relationship that leads to marriage and family, what he wasn’t expecting was to find Yvette at the 4th of July weekend in Cape Cod. There is definitely an attraction on both sides, but with the potential of a job move for Yvette will this relationship going to go anywhere past her week back east?

They try to make it work but a surprise visit to San Diego by James sets in motion a long list of miscues and mistakes and Yvette and James end up apart. Until he finds out that Yvette has moved back and is living just outside of greater Boston, he also finds out that Yvette has been holding back on information…Hello James, you’re going to be a daddy.

Will they realize the sparks are still there or will they jointly raise this little one?

The book gave me the escape I needed. The banter and then interference by friends, leads these two to making their decision.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was a little slow to start but then bam... The next thing you know it is spicy and fun. James and Yvette have instant chemistry. Then a misunderstanding ends it. Months later they see each other again. From that point on a series of events bring them back together but test them. I love all the twists and turns that lead to their hea. Definitely had me go through a range of emotions. The book kept me enthralled and flying through the pages. Very well written second chance romance.

An enjoyable addition to the series.

An enjoyable addition to the series. What started as a weekend to remember becomes more in this newest release that doesn’t disappoint. James and Yvette romance started fast and hot, but when things seem to go strong for them suddenly fizzles as she finds herself ghosted. But she is carrying more than devastation and when he finds out she will make him work for her love. I love all the twist in the storyline and HEA. I can’t wait for Zach and Zoe’s story.

I thought this was an entertaining romance. James and Yvette fall for each other at first sight . Then James ghost Yvette and is seen around town with a different woman every time. Devastated Yvette tries to get on with her life when she finds out she is pregnant. I really like Yvette and wanted to smack James for being an idiot. Then I also wanted to smack his brother Zack. There were a few unexpected and crazy twists which kept this book interesting.

This was my first Tess Summers book and it won't be my last.

James and Yvette's story caught my attention right from the start. That instant connection they felt and the undeniable chemistry between them was so hot! I just knew it was going to be fantastic. I loved the twists and turns this book took! It wasn't what I was expecting and I'm so happy about that. Some books you can predict what's going to happen, but not this one.

This book gave me all the right feels and I couldn't put it down. You should read this book!!

James and Yvette's story begins during Steven and Whitney's story (Wicked Hot Doctor) and in between Evan and Hope's story (Wicked Hot Medicine). I was a tad confused when I started reading because it had been awhile since I read the previous books, but once I figured it out I could not put it down. Their love story starts out like a fantasy, has a conflict and ends with a happily ever after. I would highly recommend reading.

Great!

James and Yvette finally let us find out what happened after their whirlwind romance on 4 th of July weekend. Their romance is described in both preceding books! Misunderstanding, James is heartbroken and ghosts her at the end of July. Yvette, unable to contact him to find out what happened, mourns her lost love. Finding out she is pregnant, brings Yvette back to Boston and New England B&B as manager. This is the rest of their unusual and touching story! Enjoy!

This time, it’s Yvette and James’ turn to take the fall and experience the hurtles that come with love. I loved all the characters in this series and Yvette and James have one of the best stories. So much karmic foreshadowing in the first few chapters, such a rollercoaster ride to be to forever. I loved how the mis-connection was revealed right away, so I was left wondering what had happened - great tension builder. Another great book a a great series.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Yvette and James met and hit it off. Before it could even go anywhere, their chances are dashed thanks to misunderstandings and no communication. I wanted things to work out between them but then I began to dislike James. He might redeem himself in Yvette's eyes but he never did for me. I liked the premise of the story. 3.5.

Really enjoyed this story as I have with the previous books. Yvette and James had a wonderful start to their relationship but that all ends when James finds out Yvette is cheating. There really is no cheating going on and Yvette finds she is pregnant. James goes to the B&B and discovers Yvette is 6 months pregnant with his baby. The rest of the story follows the ups and downs of their love life - great read.

How to NOT write a sequel

My first hint that this book was a dud was the fact that the first 50 pages were literally lifted from the previous book.
My second hint was that the characters, so lively in the previous book, were flat as a pancake in this one.
My third hint (that I should have listened to) was that the plot that read like a formula never got better. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

OMG!!!! Totally loved how instant James and Yvette attraction/love were for each other. Though he needed his head beat in for 1. ghosting her and not asking questions and 2. For trying to correct his mistakes without talking to her because of his brother. But was totally glad they ended up finding their way back to each other to be happy forever.
