Norm core sci-fi with a healthy dose of dark humour.

I was at the launch show for this, so possibly I'm not a completely unbiased reader, but....
wow.
If you like your science fiction clear, sciencey and neatly packaged, this probably isn't the book for you. If, however, you like stuff that is just this side of utterly bonkers, I would say look no further.
A collection of long short stories and short novellae, this is almost certainly different from anything else you have ever read: I am not sure I can categorise it. Except it is phenomenally readable: you WANT to know what will happen next, or possibly NEED to, but it will not be what you expect.
I'm not going to give any spoilers, but I have no idea what they would spoil.
I read this book with onlinebookclub and really enjoyed it! I love sci-fi anthologies (mysterious "what if" type stories) and this fit that bill quite well. It was the first time I'd read Tara Basi, and I think it won't be the last. It was a bit of bumpy start but ultimately I was hooked and ended up reading the whole thing without putting it down.
