I have been invested in this world of crazy heroes and ruthless heroines by Tracy Lorraine right from book one. Each character is unique and they deserve their own tale so I am so happy that the author is just doing that.
This is the beginning of Toby and Jodie's story. I think this one will also be an eventual trilogy because this book also had a cliffhanger . I was hooked right from the start. The plot was somewhat like the one this series usually has with tropes like forced proximity, hate love, enemies to lovers, betrayal and second chances! All these are my favorite ones so I was all over this book as soon as it came on my Kindle.
It took me about a day to complete this book and I loved it a lot. The cliffhanger was everything and now I want so much more. Definitely recommending this series to all the dark romance loving people. If you. Like your heroes with a dose of crazy and your heroines sassy, then do not miss a single book of this series.

The Knights Ridge Empire world has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. I have thoroughly loved and enjoyed every book taking place in it. Tracy Lorraine knows how to play my heartstrings while weaving the perfect amount of angst to have my angst-addicted heart happy. Her plots are intricate and layered to ensure massive enjoyment and intrigue. Reckless Knight is the first book in Toby and Jodie's trilogy and can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you start at the beginning of the Knights Ridge Empire to get the full experience. You also need to read the novella for this trilogy first.
Leading up to this book, Toby was always the quiet, sweet guy but we get a whole different side in this book. I am loving his gritty, kinky side. Growing up, he was abused and shown darkness by a man he thought was his father only to learn the real truth. Now, the need for revenge is riding him hard. He's found the perfect pawn in Jodie. My heart went out to her. She’s lost the two most important men in her life which left her mother in an alcohol-infused depression. Despite ulterior motives, Toby and Jodie seem to get what they need in the other. They produce pure fire together! After that painful cliffhanger, I'm dying for the book coming next. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This first book was such a fun and dark read. I loved the characters and the plot and I can't wait to see how this duet wraps up. Totally recommend.

Let me start by saying if you haven't read the other 6 books in the Knight's Ridge Empire, you should do that just so you can get a better understanding of what is going on and the family dynamics.
So, this is the story of Toby and Jodie. We meet Toby in Wicked Knight and he was so sweet, caring, soft and protective. He was there for Stella (Book 1) when she was a drunken mess in his arms and he not once left her alone. You know it's always the good ones you need to watch out for.
I received this ARC and I am like wait what? Like where did my sweet man go? Toby had a difficult childhood and it continues to haunt him. So he is fully focused on making the man that abused him suffer. He thinks he will suffer if he hurts the most important person to him. Here comes Jodie, the perfect pawn in his games. Jodie recently lost two important men in her life and her mom is not doing well, so Toby is what she needs to distract from all thats happening in her life.
These two together are fire. Their chemistry is off the charts (The phone scene with Jodie's bff while they're having their fun, had to read it twice).
The cliffhanger hurt too much, and I can't wait for book 2 to see what will happen. Jodie is exactly what Toby needs to fight his demons. I am expecting some groveling though because my heart hurts for Jodie. She lost everything.

Jodie is a sweet girl trying to deal with the loss of her father and her brother. She's devastated. Toby feels the need to revenge. He is fully focused on making the man that abused him suffer, and he's got a perfect candidate for the mission - Jodie.
When their worlds collide it's steamy, needy and intoxicating. Will Toby be able to pull it off? Because the more time he spends with this girl, the more he craves her.
The more I read this book, the harder it was to put down. The last portion of the book had my stomach in knots. That cliff! I need more.

It took me awhile to start breathing again after that ending. Tracy did Toby with a MFN bang! He’s sexy, dirty, and insanely surprising. He’s not the guy we met when we first got to Knight’s Ridge. And to think, this is only the beginning of this trilogy!?!

However if you have not then you will be ok to read this duet but I will warn you, you are going to want to go back and read the rest of the books in this series. If you have read the pervious books you met Toby in Wicked Knight and he had to be one of the sweetest characters. He was so caring and super protective. Well, that Toby is gone in this book and in his place is a Toby with a darkness living in him and he wants revenge. Toby never had an easy childhood and it haunts him to this day. When I say the guy is focused on make the man that abused him suffer I mean that!! I don't even have a word to describe how bad Toby wants that revenge. He has a plan though and is convinced that if he hurts the most important person to his abuser then that would be the ultimate way to hurt him. And along comes Jodie who has just walked into something she has no idea about and I really really wanted sweet Toby to peep our from under all that darkness and be the man I know he can be. Jodie is really going through it because she has lost the two more important men in her life and her own mother is not in good shape either. Toby comes along at a time when she needs a major distraction and what a distraction he can be. These two will melt you kindle in your very hands. I am still rooting for the Toby we first met to come back and I sure did love all the heat these two produced and I guess I should say that I really understand why Toby wants revenge it just kind of broke my heart that Jodie will be the one to pay the ultimate price if this plan goes like Toby wants it to. I really loved Jodie and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. This one left me hanging by my fingernails and I cant wait to see what happens next.

Jodie and Toby's story will hook you from the start, I loved the dual POV, the background story of each character is so different yet they each find a way. She is devastated by the loss of people she loved and he wants revenge, they both collide in a heated explosion full of steam. I really love this dark romance, it will leave you hanging and has a trigger warning for some readers so proceed with caution. This is a new trilogy but best understood if you read the other part of the series, where you will find more information about this characters.

I waited to read One Reckless Knight directly before starting this book. One week has passed since the events in that novella and I loved the flow from one story to the other.
Toby is always getting the butt-end of the stick. We see him in the background a lot in the prior books from the series, or he’s off doing his own thing (Jodie being his mission to fill in those cracks). His mission is to protect his new sister Stella and the guys of the Cirillo Family, his non-blood brothers. I loved that we now get to see what he’s been up to…and he’s been up to a lot.
Jodie is sweet. She works at a coffee shop and helps her mother out with rent after her brother and father suddenly die a few weeks apart. Her mother is greatly depressed and Jodie has to take care of her on top of working, oftentimes pulling a bottle of vodka from her mother’s arms.

Every couple in the series has been better and better as the books keep coming out. This is the first book for Toby and Jodie and I already know I’m going to love them. By the end of this book, you’ll want to hug them both.
The setting has us in Jodie’s coffee shop and Toby’s flat and a cabin in the woods. Each place is significant to the story.
Tracy has a way of getting you on board with the story - it’s beautiful, and loving and adorable - and then she suddenly grabs your throat and starts choking the breath out of you. That’s what the Knight’s Ridge Empire series is - one breathless moment into the next, but you can’t stop reading them because they’re so good and addicting. Seeya later Breathplay, Tracy is my daddy now.
I can’t wait to see where this story goes and where these two end up.

Reckless Knight is the first book in Toby and Jodie’s trilogy and yowzer, my heart! It’s one confused organ. It fell head over heels in love with Toby, just like I knew it would. But was HURT so damn bad and on the verge of shattering by the time I got to that ending.
I have been dying for Toby’s story ever since he the very beginning and have been dying to know more. His soft, sweet, and kind side gave me the warm and fuzzies. His possessive, dominant and kinky side brought a little warmth to my cheeks. His dark and dangerous side that had me turning the pages for more. But it was the broken, vulnerable boy who finally showed his face right at the ending that ratcheted up my affection for him. I mean, I know I certainly can’t resist a broken and damaged hero.
But hey, this story isn’t just about Toby. Jodie had me liking her from the very beginning and I can’t wait to see her rise into the Queen she’s meant to be.
Mmhmm, the revenge trope is like my kryptonite. The wooing, the tension, the ‘oh no, when is the illusion going to shatter?’ and the growing feelings on both sides ticks all my boxes.
To really get the full experience, I do recommend reading the series from the beginning. There is A LOT of backstory and development surrounding Toby that cannot be missed.
I cannot wait for book two!

Reckless Knight takes you on a wild ride of deceit and revenge with a lot of hot moments. These two characters were complete opposites that were connected to each other in ways that they didn't know. The chemistry between the two characters was intense and off the charts hot.
Jodie was going through a hard time and was trying to get over the grief that she was experiencing throughout her life. However it was obvious how much she cared for Toby and how much he helped her throughout the story despite the truth he kept from her.
Toby was set on revenge throughout the story but it was clear how much he really did care for Jodie. He was very protective of his family and the people he cared about throughout the story.
This story really left me wanting more once I finished reading it and I cannot wait to read what is in store for these two characters in the next story in the series.

Reckless Knight is the first book in this trilogy under the Knight's Ridge empire. I highly recommend for the readers who are new to this series to read up the other books as well, as there are characters and events that led up to the story of Toby and Jodie. It was certainly my bad that I didn't do that in time before this and will soon rectify it after this book. Nevertheless, this was a highly enjoyable read thus far.
The main characters, Toby and Jodie right from the start has the most intense, electric attraction to each other. It was so palpable it leaps off from the pages. Even for Toby who saw this as an opportunity to have his revenge, was having a hard time distancing his self from Jodie. I just felt bad that Jodie, in her most vulnerable moment in life, will have the pain of betrayal so soon after the loss she just suffered. I'd love to see how this will all pan out in the next book, because that ending is just, argh!

The main characters, Toby and Jodie right from the start has the most intense, electric attraction to each other. It was so palpable it leaps off from the pages. Even for Toby who saw this as an opportunity to have his revenge, was having a hard time distancing his self from Jodie. I just felt bad that Jodie, in her most vulnerable moment in life, will have the pain of betrayal so soon after the loss she just suffered. I'd love to see how this will all pan out in the next book, because that ending is just, argh!

Another epic story in the Knight’s Ridge Empire series by Tracy Lorraine! This time it is between a pure, innocent, angelic Jodie and the vengeful, broken, hauntingly gorgeous Toby of the Cirillo Crime Family. If you’ve read the first books of the series, you know about Toby’s issue with vengeance but if you haven’t, I highly recommend that you do so you won’t miss out on the important details. The storyline premise is very well thought out and very intricate as usual and I’m betting that in the next two books, more external factors like the gangs will be added into the mix and create the perfect storm. The chemistry between Toby and Jodie is mouthwatering and I think their intimate moments surpass the other two couples that came before them🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Who would have thought sweet and easygoing Toby would be such a alpha in the bedroom? Well, it was delicious ❤️ Now, there is only one thing left to do which is hoping against all hopes that the next book comes out faster than expected.

I will start with, this is part of a series, this is the third couple and like book nine or ten at this point. They all flow from one book to the next, and just to get what has been happening they should be read in order. Toby's life has been a very hard one, his father was abusive and has only recently realized that he was not really his father. When he learns that the man he called father had another family that he didn't treat like crap, Toby is intent on making that man pay and Jodie is the perfect way for that to happen. I have no clue where this side of Toby has been hiding, but holy crap is it hot! I give this 4 stars.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I am rating this book 4.5 stars. I knew Toby couldn't have been all that sweet, considering he's part of the carilo mafia. I kind want to see him go even darker now. I know he has it in him. Jodie she's sweet with a dirty side. And I feel bad for, because she's just caught in this mess. Toby needs to up his game now.

First and foremost. Reckless Knight is a standalone romance by Tracy Lorraine but I would highly recommend reading this series in order for maximum reading pleasure and enjoyment!
I always thought about Toby as the „nice“ guy. The level headed one out of all of them but he seriously isn‘t what I expected! Jodie is a new heroine who we havent met in any books before expect the novella right before this book! After losing her brother she just lost her stepdad as well and is struggeling to get back to normalcy. When she meets Toby he turns her whole world upside down. And not always the good way.

Reckless knight is a dark, intense and passionate tale full of lies and betrayal. This book is the beginning of Toby and Jodie’s story. Toby is out for vengeance and drags a grieving Jodie into the middle of his sinister plot. They have amazing chemistry and sparks fly when they are together? Will they be able to survive the fall out? Tracy Lorraine continues her hot streak with this newest addition to her Knight’s Ridge series and she has me hooked, line and sinker. I loved this book and can’t wait for the next installment!

So.... I wasn't excited for Toby after reading the prequel to his trilogy because to me he was so sweet and I hated that he wanted to take out his demons on an unsuspecting girl. But received this ARC and boom I love me some Toby again. He's dark and hurting and I want to wrap him up and snuggle him until he's better lol. Can't wait to see what's next with that Cliffy

Damn are we introduced to the darker side of Toby in this book! I mean, we knew it was coming ...but I don't think we were expecting him to be at this level!
We already know how much his father's betrayal had affected him, but until now, we only knew he kept him in a cell, periodically going to beat him but keeping him alive.
Now we find he's got a plan that he believes will destroy his heart before he finally kills him. Thus giving him the peace he's been chasing in response to Jonahs actions.
Jodie believes she's just lost an amazing step-father. Months after losing her amazing brother, Joey. Her mum is in deep grief and so it's left to her to try to keep the household of just the two of them going with her job at the nearby cafe.
On a night out with friend Brianna, she meets Toby and Nico by chance and go to Hades to let loose.
Thinking they shared something special, when Toby gets in touch and seems to somehow always be there when things are going wrong, she leans on him for more and more support.....
Toby seems to start to come back to himself with the unknown help of Jodie. His heart starts to thaw and beat again, and he begins to look forward to seeing Jodie and missing her when he doesn't see her.
But the stubborn sod refuses to let go of his revenge plan and keeps going. Thinking he can't let it go after all he and his mum were put thru - not to forget that joey was sent after Stella to kill her in her books.
Oh but the cliffhanger..... you have two sides of Toby that pull you in two ways. One that clearly deserves everything he reaps after what he does and Jodie rightly should give it him....but then, we know who Toby really is. We knew he was starting to feel for her. We knew this revenge plan wouldn't change the feelings he has.
But is it too late? Has he pushed Jodie too far? He's done so so much to make life so much harder for her and her mum.....she's every right to turn around and not look back!!!

Every time I pick up a book in this series, I am blown away with the characters. I always seem to find my new favorite character. Toby has surprised me the most in this book. We get to see the very dark side of him, who is driven to revenge for his lost childhood and so much more.
I can't get enough of Jodie's character as well. She seems to be suck at the same place as Toby. There is so much potential for them to heal each other, but I don't know if she will be able to handle Toby's true motives with her… time will tell.
I can't wait to get to know more about Toby's backstory, and I can't wait to see where your future will go. I'm also enjoying a little Nico time as well; he brings so much humor to any situation, which is what both Toby and Jodie need. As always, I hold the Toby and Stella moments close to my heart.

Not as great as the first 2 sets of stories. Jodie leaves a lot to be desired in a female lead character, especially when she follows awesome characters like Stella and Emmie. Jodie has only 2 personality characteristics; sad and horny. That's her entire character. This first book spends so much time having Toby and Jodie have sex that their relationship is spoon deep. But supposedly they are in love already (within a couple weeks of knowing each other and being in the same space maybe 5-7 days). Once I got to around 25% of the book I no longer liked Toby, who I really liked in the previous books. Instead of making him a tortured character, the author just made him a d-bag bro. His lines are ridiculous and Jodie falls for it like a sad sack college freshman who just wants to be loved. Instead of developing his inner conflict he just turns into a complete jerk with almost no redeeming qualities. I know how this series is going to end but I REALLY wish Jodie would just tell him to kick rocks and never talk to him again. She's mad at her mom for being an idiot about her dad's behavior and she is going to be the same kind of idiot. Looking ahead, I'm going to be mad when they get back together. He shattered her world!!!
Also, their names are Jonas, Joanne, Joe and Jodie. That's just too much.

Tracy Lorraine stoked the fire in the start to Toby and Jodie’s trilogy with
Reckless Knight.
While there was the typical components of suspenseful drama, mystery from secrets being kept and action making up the narrative. The main element came from all the intense emotions that poured off the pages as well as the fiery steam!
Though it wasn't surprising considering the hell Toby has been going through, given his the complications that came from his drama filled life meant it would be bursting at the seams holding everything in.
However now that it was out in the open, it was what took him on the start of what became a journey of revenge against Jonas by using Jodie.
However no one said that it was going to be easy, considering the hurdles and bumps that are put in his way when feelings start to become involved between him and Jodie. Something he never planned for or expected. All of which Tracy showed so well with the development taking place over time from being unravelled slowly.
The biggest surprise/shock had to be Toby.
Remember the saying looks can be deceiving, well Tracy proved that to be true in Toby’s case.
Throughout Knight Ridge Empire series, he had been personified as a nice, sweet, guy. However Reckless Knight proved that wasn’t the case at all.
Behind that good guy image was a dark, twisted, bad boy ready to come out and play. Something he showcased to a tee so well.
Although coming out from the depths of his traumatic past didn’t stop it from still haunting him. Instead of allowing it to knock him down, he took it all and became a badass with bringing the FIRE!
Ultimately bringing out the darkness within him making him the way he felt he needed to be, his behaviour and attitude the result of it. Especially when it came to the way he was with Jodie.
Safe to say, Toby definitely gave Sebastian and Theo a run for their money in being the king of badass!
With this only being the first book within their trilogy, Tracy thoroughly delivered in the department of exploration of Toby when it came to his character development.
Early on we were able to see the unravelling of Toby begin, his thoughts being showcased to us alongside the inner demons. The ones he was still fighting and trying to deal with, whilst juggling everything going on in his life like school, his work, worrying about his mum and his “relationship” with Jodie.
The headway made into the development of Toby’s character is what made me enjoy the story even more. My heart broke for him completely with learning what exactly he endured and continued to suffer with, even despite all that he was doing.
There was just something about him that you couldn’t not feel sympathy for him.
The chemistry between Toby and Jodie was not only HOT with being spicy AF!
There was something else that ran deeper, allowing them to forge a connection on a greater level. Something that may have been unexpected on Toby’s part, given his plan with it not meant to be real.
But there was no denying it was there, making it actually quite nice to see.

He'd seen the worst that humanity had to offer, and instead of becoming what he could have become, he chose to protect those he cares about with the fervor of a thousand suns. That's not to say it didn't shape him into the man he became, but he was more than that. He's driven by vengeance and hatred, and he keeps secrets from those around him. Toby, whom we met, appears to have been swallowed up by it all, with only a few glimpses peeking through.
