Pandu the jeweler abuses everyone who comes his way, including his exceedingly strong slave Mu, who escapes to become a powerful bandit leader, until a humble Buddhist monk teaches them both that deeds of cruelty or compassion will one day be rewarded through the workings of karma.Pandu the jeweler abuses everyone, including his slave Mu, who escapes to become a bandit leader, until a humble Buddhist monk teaches them both that deeds of cruelty or compassion will one day be rewarded through the workings of karma.
This was terrific!! The tale is all about karma and what can happen if you don't keep watch for it. Basically, it teaches us how our happiness corresponds with the happiness of others. In a world where manners have disappeared and self-entitlement reigns supreme, this is an excellent book for parents to read to the kids at night...or just to read for themselves. In fact, it may be published as a book for children, but it is meant for all ages. I would even hand this out to employees, as there is a life lesson in the pages, a lesson no longer taught to children by wealth-obsessed parents in the 21st century.
Sooner or later, all you do, both good and bad, returns to you. Your selfishness must disappear. The path will then be true and clear.
