Finally got alrics story!

I have been waiting for this book! It was everything and more! I loved how sweet and caring and patient and possessive the H is and the h was strong even when she didn't see it. Can't wait for the rest of the clans books

A good ending

I liked seeing her living her best life finally. So sad that her family treated her so very bad. The fact that she didn't think she should even eat was sad. Even sadder was that no one helped her ever.

A heartwarming, steamy, and exciting romance

I loved Alric and Petra’s fated mates romance with a side of abusive family. Petra is a human who lives with her emotionally abusive wolf shifter father and sister. Her life is spent working, waiting on her family and being constantly hungry and afraid. Alric is a dragon shifter and a king. He immediately knows Petra is his mate when he first scents her but breaking through her fear might take some effort. The story included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, dysfunctional families, painful pasts, evil actors, dangerous situations, healing, and all the love. Despite being short, the story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow and an engaging storyline. I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

True or Not?

Nice quick story. Alric is the Dragon King and he realizes Petra is his mate, but she is extremely fearful. It doesn't take long for him to start investigating everything he can about her and why she is sad. Petra is so afraid she knows the dangers around her and she knows her fears are valid. She is emotionally and physically exhausted. She meets a handsome shifter, but she believes he will kill her.

This was a fun first installment of this series. I can’t wait to read more about these dragons. It was a great Cinderellaish tale. A good balance of heat, drama and action and a nice HEA. Enjoyed it.

Can't help it I love shifter books. Dragons have just become a favorite. King of the dragon clan finds his mate and she has a family from hell. He rescues her and she finds all she has been told was lies and deception to hold her down.
She finally gets the life she deserves.
