Congratulations, It's Cancer!: a memoir

Rate this book
You may have heard of a hundred - nay, a thousand ways to get cancer. In newlywed Rosanne's case, the carcinogen was a pregnancy. No, really. What was meant to be one of the happiest experiences of her life turned into a full-blown nightmare. Surgeries and chemotherapy that worked in every other case failed her. Every statistic was defied for her sake. Nothing in her world made sense anymore - not even her once-devout faith in God. Despite everyone calling her strong, she sank into a soul-deep weakness, only to find that in falling, we learn to recover and rise again.

More like a testimony & too much religious internal dialogue.

Haven’t used this account in at least 8 years. But I had to review this book. This book was so good. 1000000000/5 stars. It was a tear jerker and I cried so so much. I put off reading it for a good amount of time because I knew it would be emotional for me to read. I finally had so much time on my hands (yay Covid!) and decided to just read it. I’m so glad I did. So many great life lessons in there. Grateful for the amount of comedic relief in there, I definitely needed. It was a really fast read, I finished in just over a day.
