Allen Taylor is the publisher Crux Publications and Garden Gnome Publications, editor of the Biblical Legends Anthology Series, and the author of several e-books. He writes poetry and fiction, works as a freelance writer, and is an award-winning journalist.
I would consider myself a Crypto-skeptic, but after reading this book I see the value of crypto and how websites can use it as a currency to drive their own success and growth. I enjoyed Taylor's use of metaphors throughout the book, and his imaginative ways for how a website like Facebook could integrate their own currency into improving their website and making the community more vibrant. This is not a typical "crypto-bro" argument, but instead focuses on real world applications of crypto and how in a not so distant future it might be more integrated into society.
I had a lot of fun reading this book. It wasn’t just Allen’s approach. He walks the reader thru the history of the Blockchain. I found myself feeling nostalgic (and if I am being honest, even desiring to clarify a few things in my niche) but also learning new things. The author then takes you from knowledge to application with plenty of options on how to not just be a spectator or day-trader, but utilizing the power of the tech behind the tokens to protect your privacy, prevent censorship, and even make some side money by adding value socially.
I only have one gripe, and it has more to do with editing preference… there were a few things that were repeated in more than one place. Now, I could just be more sensitive because I know the subject matter already. Because they are repeated themes, not just repeated words- it will make it "stick" more for some readers.
In all, I think anyone interested in the future of social media needs to read this book.
Cryptocurrencies are changing the way we interact with social media. By using blockchain technology, they're opening up new possibilities for how we communicate and exchange value. With cryptographic tokens, we can now tip content creators, access premium features, and even support causes we care about. This decentralization of social media is giving users more control over their experience, and ultimately leading to a more connected world. My introduction to cryptocurrency began with the article how to buy elongate on trust wallet, after reading it I realized that I just need more time
