There is a secret counterterrorism unit for the Italian government known only as "The Social Welfare Agency." Its mission: to rescue troubled girls and turn them into heartless cyborg assassins using the latest advances in cyber-technology. The newest inductee into the Agency is a second generation cyborg called Petrushka, who may just be the Agency's most powerful operative yet. Petrushka is given an impossible trial-by-fire mission, together with her handler Alessandro, to foil an assassination attempt. Can she prove she's got what it takes in an impossible mission she may not even survive?
Triela has always been one of the most mature girls among all of them, and her disguising as a career woman and looking like an adult, it fits her perfectly. I've mentioned that she was my favorite character in this series when I started this, and that still stands until now. She never acted unnecessarily and she was never annoyingly childish but that nature of her also made me feel sad. She is so quick to mature because of her situation.
Triel sitting right there, looking so chic. If I didn't know anything, I wouldn't mistake her as a 13-14 year-old teenager...
This volume is more of an adjustment of the new cyborg Petra and the new handler Alessandro on their new job. They have to fit right in the group for the better execution of the missions. I actually like Sandro's amazing observational skills. He is perfect for this job of seeking terrorists among the crowd. He has his own way of handling Petra that was entirely different to the way other handlers do things, which was interesting and bothering to me at the same time.
The cover art in this volume actually made me think that another cyborgs are being introduced. I didn't realize that it was both Triela and Claes, both looking older than their age in that particular cover. As usual, the art is exquisite as ever!
