it's time for war. my heart was so anxious reading this volume because everyone, from the cyborgs to their handlers, could die in this at any moment. and sure enough, two of the cyborgs died. and it's making me feel that the first generation cyborgs are just now counting down their remaining fleeting life
this volume has deeper backstory of the croce brothers and where their hate and revenge against that specific terrorist comes from. their hate is so intense that it's both blinding them. i wonder if there'll come a time when they would sincerely appreciate their cyborgs' efforts, and not just see them as a weapon or as someone resembles their sister. i truly pity both rico and henrietta, their handlers have too many emotional baggage to really care about them on a deeper level

Che volume! La trama principale va avanti spedita e praticamente tutti i corpi artificiali di prima generazione vengono coinvolte nella battaglia contro gli Indipendentisti capeggiati da Giacomo Dante.
Con perdite su entrambi i fronti Giacomo riesce a fuggire e i fratelli Croce ancora una volta vedono la vendetta sfuggirgli di mano. Inoltre un nuovo farmaco sblocca dei ricordi non proprio piacevoli ad Henrietta costretta quindi ad agire nelle retrovie dell'azione.
Nell'ultima parte del volume ci viene presentata la famiglia Croce dal punto di vista di Enrica prima che la tragedia dell'attentato sconvolgesse le loro vite.
Prevedo altri drammi e lacrime per i componenti dell'Ente.

I didn't need a translation to figure out that the terrorists were going to blow up St. Marco's square in Venice and all the girls were sent in to take care of the situation. The action was pretty awesome.

The story is starting to wrap up and now we get to see more of the back story. I think they could do a better job mixing the story with the past. It's very heavy on the back story over the last few books. I'm looking forward to seeing come to a close I've been reading this starting in 2004-5.
