Uzziah: Mountain Man: The Making of a Mountain Man: A Seventeenth Mountain Man Adventure

Rate this book
The seventeenth “ Mountain Man” adventure has arrived!

Uzziah, and his partner, Immanuel, continued their scouting for the Confederacy in this, their second wandering into the Civil War.

All Uzziah’s brothers had joined up with General Thomas Jonathan ‘Stonewall’ Jackson. The youngest, killed at First Manassas, was taken back home and buried as the other brothers continued the fight.

Uzziah and Abooksigun, an Algonquin scout, rounded up men who were away without leave. Thinking the men would be scolded and then returned to duty, they discovered Stonewall had other plans.

Tired of war, Immanuel decided to go back to the Rockies, but was picked up by General Jeb Stuart’s pickets and taken to Stuart’s camp. There he saw Hanna O’Bannon pretending to be her dead brother, John, who had joined up with General Stuart. Immediately, Immanuel went back to tell Uzziah. Immanuel and Uzziah left for Stuart’s camp, but encountered trouble when Uzziah was shot, but he was fixed up by a retired Southern doctor. They both met Hanna with Stuart’s brigade at Fredericksburg, where Immanuel chloroformed Hanna and took her home.

At Chancellorsville, Stonewall was supposedly shot by friendly fire. The boys gave up on the war and headed back home to the Rockies.

Join the boys as they give a fresh perspective on the greatest war ever fought on American soil.
