I have one word for you - Daisy. Yep, she's awesome. She's sweet, she's smart, and she's the best friend a guy could ask for. So I'm glad that Piper gave her a truly perfect partner, one who's awesome himself. Ben may be a bit cocky, but he has a big, sweet heart, and is clearly in love with his best friend. I love the way their relationship develops, the way they obviously felt about each other, and how the love that developed was based on a years long friendship.

I can't believe I'm about to do this, but I think it's unavoidable. I just can't lie.
So here goes:
Twisted Love is my favorite book from the Modern Romance series.
There. I said it. Can't take it back now.

I have a (not so) secret sweet spot for friends-to-lovers romances and the fake-relationships trope is kinda my guilty pleasure. I absolutely adore Daisy, she's the most bad ass girl boss ever, a beautiful soul and a spectacular role model. And Ben... well, he had me at "collects interesting things".

As always, Piper's writing continues to entice and entrance me, managing a perfect blend of sass, humor, angst and steam, creating a delicious cocktail that will keep you hooked until the very last page.

This was a good read. Ben needs a girlfriend in hopes of getting him a promotion. He asks his best friend Daisy to do it. She of course agrees. However, things become real and complicated fast. Luckily in the end it all works out and they get a happy ending.

I let out an audible GASP at one point while reading this, complete with hands flying to my face in shock, horror, and possibly relief. And that speaks to just how well this author gets her readers wrapped up in the story. This has combustible chemistry, sexual tension, and angst, all paired with so much shared history that you can feel the depth of the relationship. It absolutely FLEW by, and I devoured it in one sitting without meaning to.

The story follows Ben and Daisy, two friends who have gotten closer with every year that has passed since college. They're both business-minded individuals, but they make time for each other in a way that they don't with anyone else. And though there's attraction between them, they each have their own reasons for pushing that aside and focusing on their friendship... at least until faking a relationship proves advantageous to both their careers. The problem? There's a fine line between friends and lovers for these two, and faking makes it even more difficult to see.

Every time I start reading a book by Lawson, I know I'm in for what can only be described as an emotional rollercoaster. With this series of standalones, she's seamlessly blended lightness with tension and just the right amount of angst. This couple has some obstacles to overcome on their way to happiness, but the overall tone is seriously sexy. It's definitely one of the steamier books I've read by the author, which works for this couple and the level of trust between them - just be prepared to fan yourself a little. So what's so twisted about this romance? Well, I won't tell you that, but I will say that you should hear both sides of the story before deciding how you feel. Trust me when I say that the wrong kind of angst can break a story, and this one wasn't a problem for me. Every book in this series has been outstanding so far, and I can't wait for whatever's next. Each one easily reads as a standalone, but the friend group enhances the experience and we're introduced to some characters whose stories I'd love to read. I was lucky enough to receive an early copy via Wildfire Marketing (then purchased it for my collection), and am voluntarily leaving a review of this friends to lovers romance.

Best friends to lovers, fake romance, what’s not to love? Ben and Daisy, best friends, both successful in their respective careers, but in order to advance further it appears they both need to prove commitment in their personal lives, in particular in a relationship. Ok, so.....who do they turn to? Yes, you’ve got it. Each other. Everything goes smoothly, until, you’ve guessed it. Feelings and sex both get in the way, although I will say, the chemistry between them both is not something to turn your nose up at, it’s hot, hot, hot. I loved Ben’s dirty mouth. A wonderful romance, great characters as is always the case in Piper’s stories, and just to keep you on your toes there’s an added little twist that I loved. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

Ben and Daisy have been friends for a while and even though there attraction is very strong neither one wants to go there until a fake relationship can benefit both of them, they’re cautious of ruining a friendship and don’t want things to get messy. Cute and steamy story

I had to detatch myself from the book, to go to sleep, and found my self thinking about the characters when I couldnt read.

Twisted Love is the third stand-alone novel in the Modern Romance series by Piper Lawson. The series is focused on a group of friends and each book features a different one. You don't have to have read either of the previous books to understand what is going on in this one.

Reading my review for Bad Love (book #2) I saw that I was confused as to why Daisy and Ben were a couple when their story hadn't been told yet. It all made sense when a year later, I saw that it's a fake relationship romance, which happens to be one of my favorite tropes and it was done very well.

I almost DNF finish the book because early in the book Daisy mentioned that her twin sister, Vi, had Ben first and not only it's one of my pet peeves, but also found very weird that the dude would go for the other twin. Thankfully, it was not as bad as I had imagined and Vi never got Ben's heart so I was relieved. Daisy baited me very well there.

Ben is a nice person. I didn't find him exactly to be boyfriend material, but he wasn't bad for Daisy. It's just that something about him didn't click or work for me. On the other hand, I liked Daisy a lot. She was a good sister and I liked the business side of things. That's how you write an independent woman who can take care of herself. While Ben might have not been the one for me, he obviously was the one for Daisy and I am not saying that just because he is the hero of the novel. These two were the perfect pair and I liked them a lot together.

Daisy's sisters are both interesting in their own ways and I would like to read their books one day. I don't know if the one staying with Daisy can be considered old enough or part of the group though. She certainly had some interesting scenes and I want to see what she will do next in life. Vi is a mystery to Daisy and us, but I got the idea that she is free-spirited and wild (I am saying that in a nice way). I hope she will be at least mentioned in the next book(s).

Overall, I liked the book and I would recommend it.

In Piper Lawson's Twisted Love, book 3 in her Modern Romance series, Ben and Daisy, best friends for many years, has the spot light shining right down on them now!  I was absolutely dying to get the scoop on these two after seeing their undeniable chemistry in book 2, Bad Love.  Of course, curious me was left wondered what those feelings were really about behind that relationship! 

You won't want to miss one moment of this fantastic friends to lovers romance as they embark on a fake dating mission that could help both of their careers, if they can pull it off. 

Daisy is afraid and resistant to the idea of 'dating' her best friend.  Will their tight knit group of friends even believe this crazy idea??  She soon discovers that her gorgeous friend Ben is has a sexy, dirty talking side that she is secretly loving and wow, is he ever doing his best to get her on board, knocking her for for a loop as she tries to keep her true feelings hidden away to protect her tender heart.  Ben finds that Daisy- strong leader and problem solver that she is in her daily life, has an irresistible, sexy persona that she hadn't shared with him before which he's trying like hell, NOT to notice for the sake of their long standing friendship!Once the masks come off though, the blinding fireworks can't help but go off in every direction! 

What a book this turned out to be!  The heat, the gamut of emotions that comes from taking a huge chance when everything you cherish is at stake.  I raced through it, devouring the pages as I learned so much about these friends who respected but sometimes neglected to share their entire selves with the other.

This is must read from the very talent Ms. Lawson, as she weaves her magic again through another perfectly romantic and humorous tale that I was thrilled to have read.  She is a go to author for me every time!

I love a good Friends to Lovers/Fake Relationship romance. The forced proximity. The subtle (or not so subtle) shift of feelings. That first kiss that ignites sparks.

This book has all of that and a super sweet friendship that feels like the most important part. I loved the years-long relationship between these two characters. You get the feeling that they truly know each other, have seen each other at their worst, and their friendship continues. That makes their romance so much better!

Daisy is a great heroine. She is smart, caring, brave, and an shrewd entrepreneur. I loved her so much. Ben is a great mix of cocky, smart, sexy, and protective. These characters both have flaws that add so much to the story.

TWISTED LOVE has wicked-hot steam! When these friends finally cave and seal the deal it is hot, hot, hot. This is a great story of friendship, business, family relationships, good friends, and being brave enough to let go of your fears and open your heart up to lasting love.

Gah I think Ben and Daisy might just me my favourite friends to lovers couple and Piper Lawson might be my favourite right now without. I can’t even put into words how much I loved this story, it was and had everything you could possibly want in a hot, Sexy and steamy read along with loveable characters.


Ben has the opportunity of a lifetime as a partner in his Venture Capital firm, but to win that job he must have a girlfriend, a white lie and he knows exactly who that woman will be. His best friend Daisy has always been there for Ben through the best and worst of times but asking her to lie to their friends and, family will be harder than ever.

Daisy and Ben have always been close, and secretly and from a distance Daisy has loved Ben, he’s sweet and caring but blurred lines as his girlfriend is bound to cause drama. Fooling his work mates is I’ve thing filling their friends is another, and again the role playing becomes very real. These two high flyers have their own business dramas, but discovering their pretend relationship turns to very real, and the lies blur to real feelings all hell will break loose!

From their fun flirty days, their games night and Jet a seamless little figure who plays a huge role in this awesome story, everything comes together to create utter perfection! God even reading this back I’m not doing justice for this crazy fun, hot sexy, story! Well played Piper, as always you’re a superstar ❤️

So much sexual tension between Ben and Daisy! Best friends from college, both with a secret crush on each other. Neither dare make a move because of the risk to their friendship if the feelings are not mutual.

Ben is one of the best venture capitalists in his firm and has been put forward for an award by his boss Xavier.  Ben however needs to prove to Xavier that there is more to his life than work. He needs to go to the awards with his "girlfriend".

Daisy is trying to win a contract with Richard Vane and his new string of couples-only retreats. Daisy specialises in marketing and this contract would really boost her firm. Only problem is that Richard wants to test her, see how she can handle his son's upcoming wedding PR. He invites Daisy and her "boyfriend" to a weekend away.

Ben and Daisy can pretend to be a couple can't they? They know each other well enough to put on an act? Daisy isn't convinced they can pull it off. They will have to convince their mutual friends too.  Let the fun begin!

This is book three in The Modern Series and it is Ben and Daisy's story and I loved it. Ben and Daisy are best friends but what Ben doesn't know is that Daisy has been in love with him for a long time. When Ben has a chance to become a partner in the venture capital firm that he works for and it is something that he has wanted for a long time but the only what is he has to be in a relationship and that is where Daisy comes in but will she say yes. Will Ben and Daisy end up realising that they are better together or will it break there friendship apart. Ben and Daisy have a connection and chemistry between them that is off the charts but will they act on it. Piper Lawson is a brilliant author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will not be disappointed.

Oh I am such a sucker for a good friends-to-lovers story! And Twisted Love is everything I love about them.
This one can definitely be read as a standalone. I have not read the other two books in this series and I never once felt lost. In fact, this is my first read by Lawson, but she has gained a new fan.
I really enjoyed the sweet friendship between Daisy and Ben and I couldn't help but hope for their HEA. I couldn't put their story down.
I will now be going back to read the other two books in this series and I can't wait to see what comes next!

This book pushed and pulled at my heart and my emotions the entire read. As a reader you could feel the pull between these two and you kept hoping they could see through this and pull together. This friends-to-lovers, fake relationship romance hits you with a boatload of feels and emotions. I admit to having a certain weakness for an epic tale of a love born in friendship, tested by longevity and seasoned by the richness of angst, unrequited longing and desires. Basically that right there is the situation we have between Daisy and Ben. These two stole my heart so easily and had me invested and obsessed with them. The fierce and genuine connection they shared and the absolute beauty of their friendship provides a rock solid base to build this engaging story off of. This awesome read sent my heart on a roller coaster ride filled with all the highs and lows that its well crafted, compelling blend of heart, drama, humor, sweetness, heat and poignancy can deliver. I'm electing to post a unbiased review.

Best friends Daisy & Ben are always open and honest with each other…except when they’re not. Daisy has been hiding her love for Ben for years because she knows she’s not his type. Ben won’t do love with anyone, especially Daisy, because he feels guilty and thinks it messes people up. Now, in order to succeed in their professions, they need to pretend to everyone that they’re in a real bf/gf relationship…and things get “twisted”.

Although the ending is predictable, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The author’s humorous and the realistic characterization of Ben & Daisy was terrific. I would have appreciated a little more character development and understanding of Tris, Vi and Ben’s parents, but maybe we’ll learn more in future book(s)?? I hope so!

Why haven’t I read anything by Piper Lawson before (shaking fist in frustration)? As angry as I am with myself at the moment, this is something I am going to rectify asap and read everything she has written previously.
There was nothing not to love about Ben & Daisy’s story. Best friends to lovers is a trope I cannot get enough of. Every author has their own version - obviously, but there was something special about Piper’s version that really stood out above all the others I have read recently.
It was steamy, funny, add in the angst and boy I was in love with both main characters. Then the twist that involves Daisy’s twin sister left me speechless.
Looking forward to the next book by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Another fab addition to this great series.

Daisy and Ben's story is lovely. Best friends who make time for each other and have each other's backs. Both are successful professionally and have some personal issues they help each other with while realising their feelings are changing.

Strong female characters and nice guys are regular features in Piper Lawson's books and this makes them very relatable and realistic which i love. Lots if great supporting characters both new and revisited from old books.

Highly recommend!

An excellent story for the modern age. Ben and Daisy are best friends living busy high powered lives. Daisy is focused on running her company and having a secret crush on Ben that she is hoping she will get over sometime soon. Ben has no intention of falling in love because he only sees it as destructive and only trusts his best friend Daisy. It all gets crazy when they have to pretend to date for their business interests. It leads to steamy scenes and awkward conversations. Eventually love wins and sees the two best friends finding that friends make even better lovers.

This was so satisfying. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Ben & Daisy’s story, but I think I would have enjoyed this just as much if I was a totally new reader. The pacing was so perfect, it didn’t take forever to get into the plot of the story and it had twists but nothing tragic. Sometimes you want a book that guts you and sometimes you just want something a little bit more grounded and approaching reality. This is that book. An escape into something real and plausible with characters that are flawed but that you root for. I loved Ben & Daisy’s relationship, dialogue & off the charts chemistry. I would totally read another book that’s just them talking about doing their taxes because they were that engaging. I loved, loved, loved this.

Daisy and Ben are now one of my favorite couples. Their story is sweet, funny and downright hot at times. Both the best of friends, with a long standing tradition of spending every Friday together. Neither missing a Friday. There is a connection, a chemistry between them, but neither make a move on it until they both need the appearance of being in a serious relationship. Then the only logical choice is each other. It's the perfect choice until their real feelings come in to play. I really enjoyed seeing how this story played out.

When it comes to romance tropes it doesn't get much better than friends to lovers and fake relationships!! Piper once again hits it out of the park with Twisted Love.

This was a quick read and low on angst. Sure there are a few secrets lurking around but that's what keeps you so invested in Ben and Daisy! Toss in some appearances from other characters in the Piperverse that you love and you have a fabulous book on your hands!

As always, I can't wait for more from Piper Lawson. She will forever be a one click author for me ❤️

Daisy and Ben have amazing friendship. Their chemistry is insane and the fact they have to pretend they have feelings is silly. You can just tell that they both have feelings for each. It’s crazy as to unfolds. And I wish I could have a relationship just like theirs!!! They say you should always fall for your best friend!!!
