Sienna Callum was popular - scratch that - she was the queen of high school. She had tons of gorgeous friends wishing to be her, smoking hot flings, and an unbelievably trendy fashion sense. But, she needed one more thing. Decent grades to graduate.

Roman Lawrence was a nerd - scratch that - THE nerd of high school. Yet, his exceptional intelligence made him stand out among those seeking to learn. He had one problem though, the girl he'd been crushing on since kindergarten didn't like him back. One of the reasons? His lack of experience.... sexually.

This isn't boy meets girl. This is mouse meets vixen. This is what happens when these two opposites strike a deal and things get hot.

"So, here's my offer: you tutor me in school, and I tutor you in sex."

THIS IS HOW YOU DO ANGST!!!

[reread #1]

----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Christ, for the past few months all I can think about is you! But you're so fucking confusing I don't know what you want, and I've been driving myself insane by it! You are madness, complete and utter recklessness, and I'd dive right into that fire of yours if it was the last thing I could ever fucking feel."

"You're not a complication Sienna, you're a constant. You're an endless; my reckless endless."

⚠️ POTENTIAL SPOILERS ⚠️

What a fucking emotional rollercoaster read 😮‍💨
A SOLID 4.7 STARS.

I think I can say that this book is better than all those John Green books and the cheesy contemporary romances out there. This book has a depth to it, the story, the characters, the way they think and how fucked up things can get in your life.

- The characters are all awesome. They are teenagers and they even act like teenagers. They do things that teenagers do, they study, they go to school, they love, they fuck it up, they make it up, they sometimes make stupid decisions, but they realise it and learn from it. The parents actually for once act like parents and are there for their children. (The bar is too low istg)

Sienna Callum is a popular girl at school with a attitude of being better than anyone else. Everyone likes her and she has tons of friends with Rya being her best friend. But she is failing at her academics, and she needs a tutor to teach her so that she can secure her scholarship in her favourite uni. Roman Lawrence is the nerd of the school. He sits alone, wears weird clothes and has no friends. He has a crush on Emily but she rejects him because he is a virgin. Sienna and Roman are complete opposites of each other. They do not get along, they seem to have different priorities, different interests and different ideology. But they still, for their own sake, make a deal to help each other. Sienna will help Roman experiencing and enriching his sex life so that he can ask Emily out, and Roman in turn will tutor Sienna for her scholarship.
They at first do not get well together, but as time went by, they started getting comfortable together. They realised a lot of things about each other, and at last fell in love.

What makes this story great?

- For once atleast of all the romance books that I have read, the author decided to include a decent plot with lots of drama and twists and turns in a purely romance book. And I loved every part of it.

- This book made me realise that we are often too judgemental of people. We assume someone's entire personality just by their first impression. What we fail to realise is most people have a mask on all the time. Their true, real self is often buried deep down somewhere and they don't act like themselves while being around people. Who are they to blame when we ourselves are too judgemental, often making assumptions about people's lives and their struggles. Sienna is viewed as a rich spoilt girl with no struggles in her life except keeping up with her reputation at school. While in reality she is really poor and is adopted, her parents somewhere in Russia drunk and wasted. Roman is viewed as a nerd who has no life besides studies, in which he excels. He is thought to have everything in life he wanted, money, good marks and an upcoming scholarship. But little do they know that his sister Skye is fighting for her life in hospital. These assumptions and judgemental nature of the society makes a person hide their real personna and have a mask on all the time so that their real self stays untouched and unhurt by these people.

- The character development is immaculate. And this is the best thing about this book. Sienna, through time, realised her true potential, her true self and started accepting and loving herself for the way she is. Popularity no longer mattered to her. She made a lot of mistakes and after realising, was determined to correct them. She stopped caring about what this society thinks of her and started living her life the way she wants. After she lost her popularity, she was put through hell. Her image was ruined as she watched the empire of reputation she built in school turn to shambles. Everyone left her when she needed them the most, and that's when she started accepting and loving herself for the way she is. That's when she stopped giving a fuck. She started focusing on her studies and despite all the hurdles, she got a scholarship that she wished for.
And its true yk, when you stop pretending to be someone else, when you see yourself for who you are, accept it, love it, embrace it, when you leave your insecurity behind, when you stop giving a fuck, that's when you shine the most. That's when you are the most attractive person in the room. That's when you leave fake people behind and start meeting the best people of your life. Real people who will always be their by your side. That's when you start making relationships that is bound to last forever. Everything starts improving and getting better and better. And then you look back and are proud of how far you have come in your life.

- This book shows you what true friendship is. Rya's and Sienna's friendship and love for each other is something worth reading throughout the book. The things that they are willing to do for each other brings tears to my eyes 🥹

- The relationship is relatable and realistic. As a person who is often too dense at catching hints, I can relate to Sienna. When things went down in their relationship, we see both the perspectives. And to be honest, neither of them were wrong. But still, mainly due to lack of communication, their relationship fails.
This book will take you through every stage of relationship. First, developing a small crush. Then, slowly and deeply falling in love. Then NOT realising how deep you are in them. Slowly you start to realise but you get into the denial stage. You try to convince yourself that it can't happen, that it is nothing more than just an attraction and that it will go away soon. But you can't let them go. And then you slowly accept it. But you still fear to confess, because a lot is on stake. It can end your friendship and make you lose the person forever. But you still start dropping hints. But you both are too dense and stupid to catch them. There's lots of confusion, lots of longing and desire but miscommunication acting as a barricade between them. You gather the courage to ask them out, and get together. You are in a relationship but people are jealous. They want to drag you down, they try to destroy your relationship. They succeeded. Misunderstandings and Miscommunications. You end up seriously fucking up your relationship. But things start getting clearer, you learn, you develop and you start again. That's what you do, never give up on your love.

- Most importantly to all the people suffering with eating disorder and self harm, you are loved ❤️ This book can be triggering for you, but trust me it will make you realise what impact your life has on your loved ones. How they suffer when you suffer. Please, if not for you then for your parents, siblings and your loved ones, have the will to fight. Have the will to live and to get better. There's never late to get help and make your life better. We love you all ❤️

- Now, the elephant in the room ~ the spice🌶️

Chef kiss. That's all I gotta say. During the first half, Roman is all shy and cute and hesitant. During the second half, he becomes dominant and confident. He is in charge. There's a complete flip in characters in second half of the book and you will enjoy every part of it. So in a way, you are getting all the personalities you can.

The smut in the ballroom party was just... i have no words, sorry 🫠

- Side characters have their own story going on. They will have their own books. Christopher and Rya's story is something I believe would be even better than Sienna's and Roman's. And I can't wait to read it. Also I think there would be a book about Skye and Lukas.

(EDIT: Started reading Chris's and Rya's book but realized that the author hasn't updated since October 2022 😔)

Huh, it was a long ass review, but that pretty much sums up my thoughts on the book. I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT. This was something I never expected from a wattpad book. The realism, the relativity, the emotions, the lessons that I learnt, this book was worth it all.

This was absolute freaking perfection. I couldn't stop. I couldn't stop reading. I couldn't stop crying. I couldn't stop squealing. I couldn't stop falling in love. I expected smut which I got and it was HOT!!! Like wow! Roman is a quick learner and the dominance?! 😉🥵 But the depth. The freaking depth!! I'm in awe. The character development was so immaculate. I did not expect the depth the characters had but I loved it. I also didn't expect the while truth about Nicky but I'm not surprised. I was also right about Skye. Like it was so easy to guess when you connected the dots. Also I'm so sure I know who Rya's secret admirer is. I mean it was so obvious since the beginning. Enemies/Rivals to lovers? HELLO!!?? I'm so excited for her book. But back to Roman and Sienna. Mean Girl X Nerd Boy. Bad Girl X Good Boy. Tutor in Sex X Tutor in School. Experienced X Virgin. Roman was so cute. All blushing and innocent. Sienna is a total bad bitch but is soft on the inside. The revelations. Learning and opening up to each other. I'm so in love. I mean I have no words. POWER COUPLE!!! 😍😍😍😍💖 I could go on and on about this book but well I have no words 😄

roman didn’t stay a submissive which was what i started reading for. it was definitely not what i was looking to read in the first place and wasn’t worth reading at all.

*MY* cons:

- was definitely way too long.
- roman started to become an asshole.
- unnecessary drama.
- started as femdom x malesub which is what i wanted, then it turned into asshole male dom x baby fem sub.
- sienna never defended herself against roman and just took his dominance. (like… what? you’re supposed to be the dominant one, girl😟)
- definitely cringed in A LOT of the scenes.
- has the miscommunication trope.

I know I don’t usually write reviews for books but I had to. Let me start off by saying, THIS BOOK WAS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ. And it utterly shocks me that it is a Wattpad book 😭 I can go on and on about why it is so good but the basics is that 1- THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!! Sienna was such a fun and witty character at the start (she was a little pick me and I wanted to throw my phone across the room) but she grew into this mature, confident woman that I loooooove. Oh and also Sienna’s comebacks left me speechless. 2- One word. Roman. 3- The plot twists. I’m sorry but I never expected Nikki to have planned everything out from the beginning. Damn. 4- THE PICNIC SCENE AHHHHHHHHHHHH I cannot. Roman is too much. He is the standard (along with Kai Azeri and Aaron Warner 🥰)

The first 10-15 chapters weren't my cup of tea, had bad grammar, and I think the plot is too cliche.

Taylor once said "I think I've seen this film before, and I didn't like the ending"

ON THE OTHER HAND,

It suddenly got steamy, and the grammar just escalated from elementary writing to more professional--(No lie I was impressed by the improvement)--

and now we have the idea of Sienna's real character. That it's just a facade to get along with other people.

Concisely, it got my interest along the way.

It's a must-read. Includes lesson that we teen need to be reminded of (self-esteem, worth), I'm sure this book will eventually succeed in doing so.

The characters are flawed, and personally, it might be the reason I love this book.

I could picture myself in their state.

(ROMAN IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE LIKE ARE U EVEN REAL MISTER [damn, he's not haha])

I am so surprised. I never thought I’d love a wattpad book so much before. I was a crying, giggling mess and I couldn’t put it down. It is 2am as I’m writing this review and I can’t believe that I stayed up so late to finish it. I haven’t done that in a while.

Roman is definitely in my top 5 favourite fictional men. He was so sweet and even though there were some parts that cringed me out. What do you expect from a wattpad novel.

Overall it was such a cute book, and I loved the character development. Also I can’t wait to read the sequel because I was rooting for Christopher and rya.

Also I related and loved rya way too much!!! She’s also a Libra so I guess that’s why I related to her. So excited for the sequel!

I got obsessed with this book and went back again and again to read. When i started it, i thought it might be a cliche romance but it proved me wrong. The character development, the intense romance between the main leads makes me teary always. It is so realistic and relatable. Every girl needs a Roman in their life, who helps to grow together and accept you for who you are. Shit I'm getting teary again when writing about Roman. I think it has hit me to the core.
Everyone out there please give this book a try. I promise it will not disappoint you. Spice is 5 stars, romance is 5 stars, character development is 5 stars. Perfect perfect perfect.
A gem I found in wattpad. Love you Author.
