This, for me, was the worst of the Jessie Hunt series. First of all, I couldn't care less about Hannah or about the pending wedding. I want a murder mystery, not a romance novel or a family drama involving some young, "recovered" mental patient. Second, I found the premise rather stupid; that this whacko woman with no real history of sociopathic behavior and no training in blade combat could successfully surprise and stab multiple people to death with one blow defies logic...it's not easy to stab a human body with one thrust and kill them. Our bodies aren't bags of sausage; there's bone and gristle and muscle. Come on, Pierce; you can do better than this. I'll never get those few hours of wasted time back...
It was really nice to get back into the Jesse Hunt series. I think it's my favorite series from this author. I also really like the Riley Paige series too.
This series gets better and better! The development of the characters over time is great, the gained experience and life lessons of the main characters has been fabulous. Profiler from green to experienced. And troubled little sister growing into who she will be...I hope Hannah gets a series of her own if she doesn't already have one. I wasn't sure I liked her in the beginning and now she's at the top of my favorite character list of strong, resilient women. A crime fighting chef 👩🍳 these books have been so fun to read and always have me on the edge of my seat.
I enjoy this series for the same reason most of us like SVU. It’s not about the cases it’s the main characters and their development. The twist at the end of this was good. I was assuming that Andi would show up to the wedding just because of how fixated she is on Jessie but that’s just it….im kinda over how many people are fixated on her…so many people and singers she smart and good at her job but this kinda killed the series for me. It’s just over the top and one more drama chapter in her story. At one point I thought Hannah was going I be the next big problem Jessie would have to face…where is this series going? After Andi who is going to be obsessed with her next? Did their dad have a twin brother who was also a serial killer or does he just want to kill Jessie….?

Jessie and Ryan are getting married, Hannah is doing well and everything else in their lives seems to be going well until they are requested to work on a case where high-profile Venice beach residents are turning up dead. To top it over, Andy has been released from jail and is back to her antics to get near Jessie again. This story has crime, deceit, lies, and romance, it's fast-paced, and also shows that it doesn't need much besides bad luck for everything to start to go wrong. I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Another winner in the Jessie Hunt series of 24 novels featuring Jessie Hunt, a LAPD criminal profiler as the leading character. The Perfect Husband is # 22 in the series and it's a fast-paced, page-turner. Unlike the others, The Perfect Husband ending is a shock. The story ends with an unexpected, sizzling cliff-hanger: What is going to happen to Jessie Hunt who has apparently been kidnapped on her wedding day? Fans of this series will have to wait until #23 comes out. Highly recommend this series.

Novel number 22 in a well received Jessie Hunt suspense/crime series. I did not read the prior books and found that it was easy to follow along with the new plot line. It did however, spoil many of the previous plot points as they recapped the events in a well integrated way. I have definitely been captivated and would read the next book in the series.
The writing style itself is kind of simple at times, but dynamic and adds interest/suspense in the places that need it. This series definitely is an easy read.
As typical all I can say is wow. This series constantly keeps me up at nights reading the book till I'm done. This one was typical with more twists and turns and unexpected events than I'd have thought. The ending was totally unexpected, and I need to read the next one to figure out how they are going to solve this one. Some friends are certainly not friends and totally psycho, others are totally on your side and will die for you. I'd highly recommend this book and the series its money well spent and time well spent.
Twisted Ending 🤨😒🤔🙄 I Love Jessie Hunt Books... But
I don't know what to say about this story without giving away so much. Of course we know that Jessie and Ryan solve their case so it's not the case that has me feeling emotional about this story it's the criminal Andy Robinson with all her crazy ideas of becoming Jessie's bestie. This story was strange but good so I can not wait to read the next 📚 📖 in this series. Get this book. I highly recommend it.
This series has me so hooked! Listened to the audio version. I would have given it 5 stars but there was one scene between Andy and Jesse that was too awkward for me. But that aside, this one gripped me by the throat because Andy is literally out of her mind. I just wanted Jesse and Ryan to have a beautiful wedding, but no! It was nice to see all the characters from previous stories all coming together to find Jesse. Great read, or rather listen 😉

The day before Jessie's & Ryan's wedding they are called to investigate a murder. The husband is being questioned. But while he's being held another similar murder happens. Hannah & Kat are running last minute wedding errands & someone tried to run over Kat. Things really heat up. This book was great! Can't waIt for the next in this series to see what happens!
A fantastic series and I love reading and getting to know Jessie, Ryan, Hannah and Kat along with trying to understand and work out who the killer is before Jessie and Ryan do. Lots of twists and turns, suspense, mystery and surprises. Ending with a cliffhanger with the surprise of Andy making herself known. Looking forward to the next instalment.
possibly my favorite so far. i've loved Hannah's story and watching her evolve and grow and feel so passionate about bettering herself. seeing her realize what she needs and being driven and vouching for herself to get it made me so happy because it was like she was finally in control of her fate and recovery.
Oh I did not like this cliffhanger in the end. I know things will work out since there are 2 more books so far in the series.....HOWEVER! Save Jessie Now!
I can't wait a couple more weeks. Eeeeeeek
