Women are turning up dead, a creepy and inexplicable mannequin found at each crime scene beside them. As FBI Special Agent Laura Frost races to decode this serial killer’s signature, her conflicting visions are leading her astray. Has she lost her gift?
FBI Special Agent and single mom Laura Frost, 35, is haunted by her talent: a psychic ability which she refuses to face and which she keeps secret from her colleagues. While Laura gets obscured glimpses of what the killer may do next, she must decide whether to trust her confusing gift—or her investigative work.
As Laura inspects the mannequins, holding hands with the victims, she can feel the answer to the killer’s riddle right out of reach. What is he hinting at?
The only solution is to enter his dark mind, to play his game.
But then, there may be no way out.
A page-turning and harrowing crime thriller featuring a brilliant and tortured FBI agent, the LAURA FROST series is a startlingly fresh mystery, rife with suspense, twists and turns, shocking revelations, and driven by a breakneck pace that will keep you flipping pages late into the night.

I liked this one. Loved Laura and Nate finally back together and working things out. Don't care for Zack but like the new problem he poses. Mannequin aspect was nicely creepy. Good installment.
This episode was much like the ones before it except that Nate and Laura were back together and working on the current case.
I find the actual serial killers in these stories to be somewhat boring. The real enjoyment for me is Laura's relationships to the people in her life: her daughter, Nate, Chris, her boss and others at the FBI. I still don't care for the agonizingly slow pace that the overall story progresses, i.e. Laura and her gift and how it fits into her life and her relationships.
Laura is back to work with Nate in a very disturbing case - the victims are posed with mannequins, and to make things worse, the duo is having trouble adjusting to their new circumstances. Laura's visions are different now or she is having trouble understanding them which is also not helping the case. A good plot, with a totally unexpected and troubling ending! I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
Laura finally meets someone who has visions like hers. She & Nate are sent to investigate murders where mannequins are left with the victims. This one kept me turning pages not wanting to put it down until the last page & so looking forward to the next in this series.
Creepy crime scenes with mannequins set in poses with a dead body. Laura and Nate partnered back up and feeling their way now that Nate knows about her visions. Laura found a man with similar visions but things take a dangerous turn involving a vision with Chris her new beau.
I got this book on Libby the library app , for free. This fact doesn't change my honest opinion. I am enjoying this book and the rest of the series. They are all thrilling, and a twisted mystery storyline. I recommend these novels.
I really don’t know how I’m listening to this series right now. It’s so boring. But I have to continue to read this series to see if it gets any better. I’m praying that it gets better.
