An romantic, genre-bending Sci-Fi/PNR adventure

Book 1 - Warlord and the Waif
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 🔥🔥🔥
Warlord and the Waif is a steamy, easy to read, engaging story with great world building and characters. Even though I knew this was a twist on Beauty and the Beast, it was filled with interesting twists on a tale as old as time. (see what I did there?)

Book 2 - Galactic Tides

Galactic Tides is an unique sci-fi story retelling based loosely off the Little Mermaid. Chloe Parker took that story’s premise, flipped it on its ass and made it her own. As soon as I started reading, I was immediately sucked into another world, a world filled exotic aliens, warring species, and mystery. Never once did I feel like I was reading a regurgitated story and the worldbuilding and characters were excellent.

Galactic Tides is a fresh and innovative page-turning adventure filled with secrets, steam, mermaids and a super sexy pirate. I have enjoyed both books in this series and will continue to read more by Chloe Parker.

Book 3 - Nebula’s Tower

The writing was stunning and the storyline riveting! Aiden and Marian were perfect and the villain... don't even get me started on how much pain I want to inflict on Nebula! To put it simply... This book was PHENOMENAL!

Nebula's Tower is definitely going on my BEST BOOKS for 2022 list and my ALL TIME FAVORITE list! I loved this book so much, I feel the need to shout “READ THIS BOOK”

This book was everything I want in a PNR/Sci-fi romance and then some! Original, emotional, issues handled with grace and compassion rather than shock value, and the imagery vivid that I can picture the world Marian and Aiden live in.

Collection contains the interconnected sci-fi fairy tale stories of three couples: Warlord and the Waif (Calder and Ella), Galactic Tides (Jack and Nerissa), and Nebula’s Tower (Aiden and Marian). It also includes bonus scenes and a holiday novella. My favorite of the three is Warlord and the Waif, based loosely on Beauty and the Beast, which features Calder (H) as the cursed lord of the castle who's waiting to be set free by finding true love with Ella (h). I enjoyed the mer side of Galactic Tides, though I have to confess to typically preferring the H to be the alien rather than the h. Jack (H), a cyborg pirate, and Nerissa (h), an alien mer/kraken, are based on the Little Mermaid. The third book is Nebula’s Tower which tells the story of Aiden (H) and Marian (h), two humans who've been abducted and experimented on - he's a wolf shifter with incomplete memories of how he came to be what he is and she's a cyborg who blames herself for what happened to Aiden. I felt a little bittersweet with their story, as even with their HEA I felt like Aiden and Marian had been cheated out of reaching their full potential. All three stories have a lot of action, adventure, romance and steam with strong couples. Great world building and likable characters. As the stories do have some interconnected elements, they should be read in order.

Alpha Worlds . . .

This was a really good collection for the Trilogy. The content itself can draw you in to read of abduction by space Vikings, seduction by cyborg pirates (and cyborgs are my favorite), and sizzling romancing by alien shifters. The steam rising from the pages attest to how good these stories are! And as further enticement, the box set contains all three of the Alpha Worlds novels, plus their bonus scenes and the holiday novella, “Star Child”! Let the adventure, danger, and lots of love carry you off into these exciting other-world pages.

The Warlord and the Waif - This time, “Beauty” is not just good-looking but brave, with a bit of a temper, while the “Beast” is still beastly, a cursed warlord with principles. Ella was superb as a heroine, outspoken and stubborn, but Calder stole my heart with his stoic anguish.

Galactic Tides - This is the story of Jack, a former 17th century pirate and current cyborg, and Nerissa, a “mermaid”. Their story is equal parts steamy and sweet, with some emotional turmoil thrown in for good measure. I really liked Jack’s character, he’s a charmer and a lover, which makes him perfect for Nerissa.

Star Child - It’s a Christmas story - how delightful! This short story is a peek back at Ella and Calder, pregnant and in love with each other… and books!

Nebula’s Tower - Marian and Adrian’s fairytale takes a dark and difficult path to happily ever after, but it’s an utter engrossing tale to embark upon with them. I know it’s sappy, but I loved how their love seemed to “conquer all” - together, they slayed enemies and helped lead a rebellion. I also really liked how these fairy tales in this series are loosely linked to one another - I love the cameos.

Oh yeah, this was a fun read! I’ve enjoyed Chloe Parker’s books before and I definitely liked this trilogy as well!

Out of the three, Warlord and Waif was my favorite. I loved Ella and Calder together and Parker’s take on Beauty and the Beast had me wanting more! Ella’s feisty attitude had me giggling while Calder’s smoky demeanor had me swooning. I also quite liked Galactic Tides. This science fiction twist on The Little Mermaid was refreshing and who can resist a cyborg pirate? Personally, I didn’t like Nebula’s Tower as much as the other two, but it was still an entertaining read. Overall, a great set of books and will continue to look for more from Ms. Parker!

I enjoyed this collection a lot. Each of the individual books were entertaining on their own. But it is nice to have them all together. I had actually read book three before so I know they can be read alone, but it was nice to have the set and see how they interact in the world. And it was great to have all the bonus scenes and the novella included.

This collection contains the interconnected books from the Alpha Worlds series by Chloe Parker. Overall each book has action, drama, twists, turns, sizzle, and steam. The worlds are well written and the characters compelling. Great read and with this book available on Kindle Unlimited so it's a great binge read.
