I am not sure how I feel about this book, and maybe it is just not for me.
It is a very quick read, so be prepared for things to move along very quickly. I feel the story was a bit rushed, and then the moment they were together, it was just the end. Don't get me wrong, you get like 3 extended epilogues, but still.
So if you want a quick little read with an age gap, my best friends dad romance, this is for you.
Abby has just turned 19 and has had a fight with her mom about getting a tattoo for her birthday. Abby wants to get a tattoo from her best friend's dad, Slade because she has had a crush on him for a long time. She hopes in getting the tattoo, he will notice that she is all grown up plus she plans to enjoy having his hands on her. Her friend sides with Abby's mother but distracts Abby with inviting her to her dad's 42nd birthday party. Lucky Abby arrives after Slade has just finished his workout and he is dressed in short workout shorts. When their eyes meet, sparks fly. Maybe Abby got his attention without getting a tattoo. Abby really wants to be with Slade but she doesn't want to lose her best friend.
Slade is having his 42nd birthday and is feeling old. He really wanted a woman to share his life with and to start a family with but he has never found the right woman. His daughter was a youthful mistake but is the best part of his life now. When he sees her best friend Abby for the fist time in years, he is surprised to see that she has grown up into a mature young woman. Just one look and he wants to make her his. He is obsessed with her and do what it takes to make her his. He will even risk his relationship with his daughter.. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Abby is the WORST. I just couldn’t read another page of her drivel. She’s whiney, bratty, and just plain desperate. I tried to keep going because I liked Slade but how annoying Abby was won out and I’m tossing this one on the bonfire.
When I first got my Kindle Paperwhite back in 2023, this title popped up in an advertisement. As a YA Fantasy reader at the time, my reaction was, "What is this?I'm never gonna read this." After multiple attempts of deleting it, I gave up, and it eventually got pushed down to the very bottom of my booklist, and I forgot about it. Now, in 2025, I was looking through the titles I have in my Kindle and ran across this title again. Now, as a more diverse reader, my reaction was, "What is this! How come I haven't read it?" & I downloaded it immediately. Since I typically tandem read (listen to the audiobook & read along with the physical/kindle version), I looked up the audio version & was disappointed there wasn't one. Since it was short enough, I decided to give it a try anyway. I'm glad I did because the moment I started, I was hooked! The writing style was definitely amature; there were a lot of inner monologs & insta-love attraction & sexual desire. The FMC was annoying. I should've known she was a virgin, but she didn't act like one at first, but when it is revealed, it makes sense due to her low emotional intelligence. In a taboo romance, moral conflict is to be expected, but in this, there was none; the sexual tension was automatically there as if it's normal to be attracted to someone twice your age 🤷♀️. I can see why others gave it a low rating. Yet, I couldn't look away. The unique storyline & the 🔥 MMC kept me intrigued the entire time! I just wanted more; it definitely has the potential to be hotter & darker with some improvement. I'm definitely curious about the others in the series! Overall, it was short, fast-paced &🌶🌶. I give it 3.75🌟
INKED BY MY BEST-FRIEND'S DAD: A Steamy Standalone Instant Love Book and fast-paced with plenty of drama. Age-Gap Romance, but age is just a number! I liked that there was lots of drama without the angst.
Abby has a best-friend named Tasha. Abby has grownup with out a dad and just a single mother. Tasha has grownup with just a dad and no mother. Abby's mother is really mad at her right now. Abby tells her she wants to get a tattoo and her mother is furious about it. The thing is she has always had a crush on Tasha's Dad. He just happens to be the best tattoo artist around, and has his own place: Slade's Studio. If she ever wants to get his attention, what better way than have him notice her by having him tattoo her. She blushes just thinking what places he might like to put a tattoo. When her friend's phone rings and it is her Dad and he wants to know when she is coming home for his birthday party she planned? She wants to know if her friend Abby could come, too! Sure she could! Slade is now 42 on this day, to Abby being 19. Slade hasn't seen Abby lately, but when he sees her all grownup and with all the curves, she doesn't need a tattoo to get his attention. Slade & Abby have a strong emotional bond as well as a physical connection. Unfortunately others seem to notice, including his own daughter. It is quite a story with a surprise ending.
Inked By My Dad’s Best Friend is the story of Abby and Slade.
Tropes: Age gap (42 and 19) Best friend’s dad x daughters best friend HEA and kids Breeding kink Tattoo artist motorcycle fixing dilf hero Cute innocent sassy and sexy heroine Great epilogues Motorcycle club incorporated but MC’s are not involved.
So it’s his birthday and they hit it off and have genuine chemistry and in no time does he claim her but not before showering her with the princess treatment like taking her out to eat and top chain clothes and a five star hotel. They spill to her mom and his daughter Tasha. Her mom turns out is dating Tasha’s bad to good boyfriend, Brad’s dad who owns the cannery she works at. So it’s a whole shit show but they reveal it too and everyone is okay with it but Tasha and Abby speak like weeks later and she has good news like being preggers. In the start she mentioned a tattoo and he was like nah don’t do it it’s gonna be permanent and she got her daughters face tattooed on by him and her mother finally approved cuz in the start she didn’t. Anyways the end.
Inked by my best friends dad was a good read, I really enjoy a best friends dad storyline and I wasn't disappointed.
Abby and Slade meet again at a party after not seeing eachother for a year. In that time, little Abby has grown up and Slade has an instant physical reaction and it builds from there.
This book had a lot going on bikers, tattoo rants, virginity, conflict and a quickly sown up happily ever after for every character you met in the book, which I didn't think was needed but who can complain about more romance in a romance book.
Overall worth a read, if you like insta love, Alpha, age gap and a HEA . I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a best friends dad age gap romance that I felt took a while to get started. This was my first Flora Ferrari and it had a dual point of view so every chapter was kind of a repeat at the beginning from the opposite POV of the other character. It took a while for me to get into it because it seemed like there were quiet a few chapters of going back and forth between the H and h on will the other accept them and fall in love with them and then there was Slade’s daughter (Abby’s best friend) who’s character was all over the place with love and anger towards her friend and dad. Once I got into the story I did like it and I loved the HEA ending.. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another super sexy read from this author! I always get quality writing, a fantastic thought-out story, in-depth characters and sexy times!
They both want one another, but will it be appropriate? They find out that they share the same feelings, however they must overcome family first. His daughter has her own drama and she causes friction for several reasons.
What a great pair. No matter to their ages, it was great between them. I still think his daughter needs a little therapy-she's more drama all herself! But this couple seemed to come together naturally and they sizzled. There are alot of family drama moments, but such is life. Another great read that will keep you entertained!

Thanks Ms Ferrari I enjoyed this read. I especially appreciated the extended epilogues. I love delving into the lives of the H and h after they get together.
This book is about Slade and Abby, his daughters best friend. If you don’t like older man younger woman books, you may not like this book but you won’t know until you give it a chance, you may be surprised how much you enjoy this book.
This book had some errors which another round of editing would have picked up.
I would still recommend this book to anyone who loves to read the older man younger woman trope.
One for each. Awesome book. Abby has had a major crush on Slade for as long as she remember. She can’t even tell her bestie because he’s her dad. He would never want her anyhow. Right? Slade hasn’t seen Abby in about a year and oh boy, she has grown up in that time. She is gorgeous with curves in all the right places. His need for her grows quickly but, can he really move towards what he wants? Could Abby want this older man? Can they really give the other what they want. Oh, and what about the daughter and bestie? Things could get very interesting here, folks. Remember ink is for life.. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love a good age gap romance and this one was a good one. Slade and Abby make a great couple and their journey is sweet and spicy. Slade is Abby’s best friend’s dad so the road will be a rough one. Seeing each other at Slade’s birthday party begins feeling of obsession from Slade, and strengthens the crush that Abby’s always had.
The writing is from both POVs so sometimes the story back tracks a little to get the other POV when a new chapter starts. At first the back tracking threw off my focus on the story a little but. Then I adjusted to the writing style and enjoyed seeing certain situations from both perspectives.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 POV: Dual 1st Person M/F Stand Alone? Yes
This book brings the panty melting heat like nobody’s business. Can I get away with saying it caused a flood? I don’t know but it certainly did so, I’m saying it! This is the first time I have specifically chosen a book not for the story, but the potential for steam and I have to say it delivered a pretty great story too! I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to the story and the fact that even with the story the steam factor was still🔥🥵🔥. I am pretty sure this is the first book I have read by this author and I am positive it will NOT be the last!
I am split between liking and disliking the story. I don't like the fact that they have to sneak off to be together, I liked the fact that the MMC is a man who knew what he wants when he sees the FMC. It appears that every person that matters in the MCs life is against their relationship but I find it farfetched that with the appearance of one man out of the blue made everyone fine with the state of everyone's relationship.
It's still an entertaining read, and it is fiction so suspend your logic for a while.. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely loved Inked By My Best Friend's Dad by Flora Ferrari. Abby has a secret- she has a massive crush on her best friend's dad. Slade hasn't seen Abby in over a year and when she shows up at his surprise birthday, the real surprise is the instant and intense need he has to claim her as his own. And when she says she wants a tattoo, and for him to give it to her, he is determined to not only talk out of marking her beautiful curves but to prove that despite their age difference and him being her best friend's dad, they belong together
I've read a lot of books written by Flora Ferrari; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
This is part of the A Man Knows What He Wants Series. She has written another great story of an older man/younger woman romance; the story is well written. The story is about Abby & Slade; he’s her best friend Tasha’s dad. He’s an ex-biker with tattoos; she thinks he’s the seiest man alive. When she wants to get a tattoo, she wants him to do it for her.

This was an excellent choice, for a gap book. The characters are well-rounded, a little off-center, and over the top. Yet, we look for this actual mix, in a gap book. Am I telling, the truth?
Tasha and Abby have been best friends for years. Tasha is the ideal friend for, Abby. She pushes her out of her comfort zone. Abby is a plus-size girl.
She is shy, except, when she is, wanting something. When her crush (Slade: Tasha’s Dad) is giving her, similar hints of wishing for her, in return she meets the challenge.
I loved this! I loved Slade immediately. He was a little gruff and growly, always a plus IMO. He was attracted to Abby as soon as he saw her. Abby has had a crush on him for years. She is best friend's with his daughter, Tasha. I didn't care too much for her (Tasha). She was spoiled, selfish, and a little mean. Abby was very sweet. I was happy to see her character find true love with Slade. She seems to have been missing it her whole life. I'd say this is one of my faves from Flora. Wonderful May/December story. Slade is seeing his daughter Tasha's best friend, Abby, who he hasn't seen since she graduated high school. Abby has crushed on Slade since she can remember. When Slade see's Abby again he's ready to make her his for the rest of his life. What will happen when his daughter finds out that they are together? Will Slade give Abby a tattoo? There is plenty of sizzle between them. Will they be able to make it work? . I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Slade and Abby will keep you glued to the pages of this story. When his daughter finally shows up for his birthday party with a friend, he is shocked to see that it is Abby who has become a beautiful grow woman. He is drawn to her and as their feelings grow his daughter becomes a handful when her boyfriend starts creating problems having Tasha in an emotional state it gets even better when Abby’s mom brings her surprise into the mix as well. Enjoyed reading the love story between Slade and Abby. Abby has had a crush on him for quite a while but didn't tell him or his daughter, who is her best friend. When Abby turned nineteen, her beauty hit Slade right between the eyes. How will they explain things to his daughter and her mother. Read about her first motorcycle ride, wanting a tattoo and their sex lives. I enjoy reading short stories because they pretty much get to the point. Written by Cindy :)
Fun bit of fluff. 19 year old Abby has had a crush on Slade, her best friend Tasha’s father for years. Abby tags along with Tasha to Slade’s 42nd birthday party. Even though Slade had seen Abby only a year ago for some reason he is totally smitten when he sees her now. They can’t keep their hands off each other but initially attempt to keep this from Tasha and Abby’s mom. That plan barely lasts 24 hours before they run off to a hotel to make a baby. Both Tasha and Abby’s mom have their own romances to reveal and everything works out in the end.
It was a decent enough story, but not one I would read again or recommend to others. The storyline felt very rushed (Slade said less than 24 hours after seeing Abby that he wanted to marry her and her to have his babies; they said they loved each other after around 60 hours of “dating”; also decided to get pregnant and start their future around the 60 hour mark), but it also fell flat for me. There was always the worry of hurting Tasha (even though they never really worried about that too much), but there was no real problem in the story.
Unfortunately... I disliked this book. Everything happened so fast, resolved itself so quickly... You are a 19 year old girl getting it on with a 42 year old and your mom is OK with it because she's dating some other friend's dad? I expected and would have welcomed some more drama, some apprehension from her mother and his daughter (from which, in all fairness, we almost got the correct reaction), but not... Whatever this was. Nope, I'm sorry. This book just doesn't do it for me.
