Rate this book
From outlaws and prostitutes, card sharks, and con artists, to heroines and peacekeepers, this is the biggest bevy of badass beauties who ever laced up a corset or pulled on a pair of boots. Some came from a hardscrabble upbringing, some from wealth, and even nobility. Yet, despite unbelievable hardships, dangers, and life-threatening situations, these fearless ladies overcame obstacles that would have defeated any man.

Covering nearly three hundred years of American History, this book tells the fascinating but true stories of women from all walks of life. Like a frontier woman, who, after being captured, managed to free herself and, with the help of two other captives, killed and scalped ten Indians. Or Madame Moustache, a card shark, who before her beauty faded toured the West separating men from their money with her French accent and pretty smile. A former slave who defied convention and became a legend, and a young beauty who pulled off one of the most famous cons jobs of the Old West.

These fearless frontier women all had one thing in They lived their lives on their terms. Some paid dearly for their decisions, and some lived to a ripe old age. But all of these real-life frontier damsels have life lessons that we can learn from.

Writing has always been a lifelong dream. Finally, at 71 years young, that dream became a reality. I am honored to be part of Dusty Saddles Publishing, the leading publisher of Western Novels. Currently, I have several Western Series on Amazon: Chet Henderson: Texas Ranger Adventure Series, Bear Willis: Mountain Man Series, and Willie McGee: Mountain Man Series. Along with a co-write with my granddaughter.

In creating my Westerns, I wanted to do three things, be authentic, create likable characters, and tell a good story. With a lot of hard work and prayer, my books have been well received, so, I must be doing something right.

I live with my wife of fifty-three years and our cat Moxie on Rattlesnake Ridge. We are lucky that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandson all live close by. When I'm not writing, I enjoy woodcarving, fishing, and pampering my classic Jaguar.

I donate a portion of the profits from my books to Veteran charities, including the Veteran’s Independence Project.
