Depuis qu’il est sorti de prison, Kojima a décidé de se refaire. Le malaise soudain de son aîné, le lieutenant Ebihara, tombe à pic, car il a désormais la voie libre et peut utiliser Takahashi et Kuro à sa guise. Il ne tarde pas à se procurer une arme dont il fait immédiatement usage pour se débarrasser d’un ancien collègue aujourd’hui devenu un obstacle...

De son côté, Fable reçoit la visite de Kuro qui insiste pour devenir son disciple. Mais pour le moment, Fable préfère profiter de la “vie normale” qu’il prend plaisir à découvrir. Yôko, quant à elle, s’ennuie ferme. Et comme à son habitude quand elle se morfond, elle part à la recherche d’un homme avec qui elle pourra jouer...

See, suddenly, it got more interesting. I don't know how.
A guy got released from the prison after serving 15 years and there's this thick tension emanating from the pages ever since that I can't quite put into words. It's reeking of uneasiness.

Plus, this girl. Bro, she is poison. Straight poison. Such a fucked up kink. I can't even.

Kojima might be a good antagonist for Fable. He is a former convincted felon who just got out of jail. He returns to the Maguro and starts making waves. Even threatens Fable into paying a monthly rent. The guy is bold enough to simply kill a man who owes him money, so he means business. With his boss out of comission in hospital, he plans on starting a call girl service using Misaki who posed for them in the past. Ooh, the plot thickens. Her secret past is sure to haunt her. Thankfully, she is close with Fable. Surely, he will be her knight in shining armor.

Youko is no less damaged, though she is a bit better adjusted socially than Fable. She gets a kick out of manipulating guys into dating her.

I read this series online over 3 days and didn't really stop to think of it as a serialized work. So this is more a general review of the whole series without spoilers.

Overall: I really liked it. This could have been very generic however the strong character decisions and quirks make this series a blast to read and very fun time.

I do feel the series eventually becomes more story driven and a bit more boring as we get less character moments. The ending to me is weak.

However as a whole work I enjoyed it and had a great time

So this series is definitely more of a slow burn than I originally thought it was going to be, but regardless, I’m still very much enjoying it. The ending of this volume sets up what is likely to be a fairly big plot point and I’m curious to see how our leading man is going to handle it.
