“This is it! The end of the line! The grand finale! Everything in your entire life has led you to this very moment, so that you may watch in horror and awe as the world of CROSSOVER comes crashing down in a metatextual waterfall of blood and ink and—oh wait. No. That’s the solicit copy for the final issue. What issue is this? 13? Oh. Haha. Yeah this one is rad. I’m in this one!” —DONNY

A depressing issue opening up with a bleeding Donny Cates moving to the battle with Ellie and the sword Valofax against Negan and his bat Lucille after Negan bashes the back of Cates' skull.
One nifty trick by Ellie using the sword leads to Ryan's dad threat to blow himself up only to get his head blown off by Director Pendleton in a massive suit of armor.
A personal exchange between Pendleton and Cates unloads a lot of demons from both men and Cates closes the book by telling both Ellie and Pendleton that the writer can create the ideas of a comic book but the artist is the one who really brings the creation to life so that in order to end the crossover event they are going to have to track down and take out artist Geoff Shaw.
Weird, wild stuff from Cates and Shaw ending this first chapter of the series.

Continues to be a delightfully fun book. Love how it ended and can't wait for the next arc.
