From New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Nicole Edwards comes the seventh installment in her Brantley Walker: Off the Books series.
After taking a bullet during a botched kidnapping attempt, Reese Tavoularis went AWOL. Rather than return to Coyote Ridge to fix what he’d broken between him and Brantley Walker, he remained in Dallas, leaving his team in the lurch and using his recovery as an excuse to keep his distance. Or, more accurately, to hide from the repercussions of his own actions. Now he’s back to make amends and convince the man he loves to give him another chance.
When Magnus Storme is accused of kidnapping, Reese finds his footing back with the team as they all band together to prove Magnus's innocence and find the missing woman.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nicole Edwards spends her days stringing words together to make complete sentences. Sometimes not. Her best friend is coffee, and she has a love/hate relationship with sarcasm. She’s been accused of having a filthy imagination, which she admits is true.
Nicole lives in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. She proudly claims one husband, three grown children, and two bosses (better known as the dogs). When she isn’t writing, watching football or hockey, or keeping her bosses happy, you can probably find her with a book in hand.
And I am back to giving 5 stars to Nicole Edwards for this wonderful, heart wrenching/heartwarming, thrilling, suspenseful romance that ripped my heart out and put it back together again. And there are no miscommunication in this book. They actually talk things out which is a huge difference from the last book.
I really love the way Nicole writes about Reece’s realization about his sexuality and the steps he had to take before coming to terms with it. And I loved that he kept pushing Brantley to talk things out because he knew that if he didn’t things would only keep festering under the surface until it in the end would blow up in their faces and then the relationship wouldn’t be salvageable. I loved seeing Brantley’s emotions coming to the surface and that he in the end also takes some of the blame for what happened at the end of the last book.
I loved seeing J.J. and Baz moving forward in their relationship and it was nice that everything looked great so far but if I know Nicole Edwards then something might happen that could put a wrench in that relationship again;-)! But so far so good.
Now to the suspenseful part of the book which has tricker warnings for wife beating, attempted murder/murder. The plot was great and some of it really shocked me and some of it I guessed really quickly. But it didn’t matter to me because the romance between Trey and Magnus took center stage in that part of the book and that romance is to die for;-)! And we are introduced to Ava who has a past with Magnus that ripped my heart out.
Nicole Edwards wrote in her after thoughts that Trey and Magnus’s romance will finish in the series “The Walkers of Coyote Ridge” in the book “Trey” and I can’t wait to read it and see what happens.
I can definitely recommend this book.
I got this arc from the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I don't even know where to start with this review, there was just so much happening in this seventh installment of The Brantley Walker: Off the Books Series, I will say that SECRETS needs to be read before this book in order to follow along, you do not need to read the first five books if you choose not to but, book six is a must.
Reese has recovered from being shot and has returned to Coyote Ridge after his long absence, he needs to make amends not only with Brantley but also with the team for leaving them high and dry for six months. But that's not all, we also have Magnus Storme being accused of kidnapping!
This book has so much going on between the case they take on, because there is no way they are letting Magnus get charged with a crime he didn't commit, to their personal relationships and everything in between. Nicole Edwards did a fabulous job as usual with creating a story that you can really sink your teeth into, I absolutely loved every minute of this book.
If you enjoy Steamy MM Romances, Romantic Suspense, Age Gap Romances, Office Relationship Romances, Secret Romances, or Former Military Romances I would recommend this book to you.
This was book 7 in the "Brantley Walker: Off the Books" I love reading this series and I love this author. There was a lot going on in this book with the team and the couples. This book picks up 6 months after Reese was shot, he stayed in Dallas recovering physically and mentally because when he hurt Brantly he also hurt himself. Brantly has spent the last 6 months living in hell he can't believe Reese was on a date with a woman when he got shot. When he comes back to Brantly's house it's to get his things, only he doesn't want to leave he has a lot to make up for. Both of them are hurting because they didn't talk and both of them were hiding things from one another. Brantley is stubborn and angry he didn't even know that Reese had a set back and had to go back to ICU, but he loved Reese. When he was finally able to listen to him, he realized that they both made mistakes. I also loved that Reese had therapy and it made him realize what was important to him and it was ok to be with a man. In this book we also get a glimpse of Travis and Gage and the kids. I loved that Baz and JJ are still going strong and are moving forward and they get a surprise that makes both of them happy. Magnus and Trey I really wanted to slap both of them Trey more so than Magnus. They have been hooking up for a year and both of them are in love with each other. Trey is too scared of getting hurt again and Magnus doesn't want to scare Trey off. When Magnus is taken in for questioning for about a missing woman Ava March, she was a friend of his in this book we learn a lot about Magnus and his past and I felt sorry for him his parents and his sister died in a house fire. Ava was married to a Senator Harrison Rivers who was using her as a punishing bag, but she stayed because of her sick mother. I knew he did something to her. I wanted to know what happened to the other girl he was going to marry she disappeared. This series gets better and better the sex scenes in this book were hot. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
“I’ve got you,” Brantley whispered against his ear. “No matter what, Reese, I’ve always got you.”
First, I want to say that the turmoil this author put these characters (and me!) through in the last book, Secrets, was all forgiven in the last few chapters of this book. I had such a huge smile on my face for so much of the last part of this story. If you were frustrated with how things left off, don’t give up on this series. As I mentioned in my review of that last book, I trust this author and I knew I just had to let everything play out. (While I will not post spoilers for this book in this review, be aware that because of how this series plays out there may be spoilers for previous books in the series. This series should absolutely be read in order so please, if you haven’t read the previous books yet, stop reading this review here and go and read these amazing stories from the start!)
When this story picks up, we’ve jumped ahead 6 months from the devastating shooting of Reese and the tumbling down of our core couple’s relationship. Now it’s time for some groveling…and it better be good. Brantley is stubborn and stoic, but he loves Reese with all that he is and all that he has. Which means, no matter how angry and hurt he is for all that Reese put him through, he can’t turn his back when Reese finally shows back up on his doorstep. Reese knows he screwed up. But he also knew, back when things fell apart, that he needed to work on himself and get his head straight before facing Brantley. Reese knew he’d only get one shot at trying to fix things and couldn’t afford to mess things up again. My heart was hurting for these two, but also held so much hope.
In the meantime, seeing JJ and Baz living the life they were meant to have together after everything they’ve been through was such a joy. Especially being able to witness the contentment JJ finally has and her confidence in this relationship. They are definitely a bright light throughout this book and I we get to continue on their journey with them.
The couple that has been working its way more and more to the foreground in these books is Trey and Magnus and I love them together. In this story, Magnus is in trouble and the whole Off the Books team is ready to jump in and help. It was so nice to see Trey not only open his eyes, but make the admission as to what he saw with those open eyes to some key people in his life. I cannot wait to see what Nicole Edwards has in store for these two and their new lives.
This story is incredible. There is love and joy and heartache and suspense, everything that keeps me turning pages in a book.

I love catching up with the gang from the Brantley Walker Series and after the ending in the previous book I was excited to get my hands on Confessions (Brantley Walker: Off the Books#7) and all I’m going to say is, this read was everything I expected and so much more. Confessions starts right where the pervious booked ended and honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect, I needed to know what happened with Reece and Brantley’s relationship and future but truthfully I was also scared because I love these two guys and I wasn’t sure where their future was going…. I love this series for many reasons, it’s hot, it’s emotional, it’s witty but more important than all of that is the family unit that Ms Edwards has given us. We get to meet new characters but we will always get to catch up with old favourites from previous book, she always gives us the perfect mix of love, passion and suspense. I was captivated from the first page and there no putting down until I had read the final word, I was entertained, I swooned, I sighed and at times I held my breath as I spent time with the gang I have come to call friends. A wonderful addition to the series.
This book was another solid read in the Off the Books series. And by far, the best book in this series so far. Every couple that is part of this series is finally getting their shit together. They eventually start to communicate with each other, and no silly misunderstandings.
Confessions pick up from the end of book 6, Secrets, where Reese FUCKED UP, BIG TIME. I truly wanted to slap him for hurting Brantley. And now he needs to do some grovelling for the mistakes he made. And he does!!! I loved how Nicole wrote this book, finding the right balance between Reese accepting his sexuality, asking for forgiveness and Brantley making him work for it for once and not letting him walk all over him. But at the same time, letting bygones be bygones.
I also want to point out that this book contains domestic abuse that could be a trigger for some, so please proceed with caution.
Little by little, Reese and Brantley are becoming one of my fave couples from NE. And for sure, I cannot wait for the next book in this series, as well as Trey, the story of Magnus, Ava and Trey.
I only gave this 4.5 cause I found the end a bit cheesy and didn't match Reese and Brantley as a couple or their characters.
ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Just when I think I could not love this series anymore the focus or should I say the main focus is on Reese and Brantley and their forever chaotic relationship. Reese certainly did it this time. He’s been gone for six months, ever since he took a bullet for the woman he was meeting with. And for Brantley that was enough, as much as he knew deep down that he loved Reese with everything he was he could not take it anymore. Now Reese shows up at Brantley‘s not expecting anything, especially forgiveness for what he’s done, but love runs deep for both of them. Along with following their story throughout the book there is so much more going on. It seems like JJ and Baz are finally in a pretty good way. But with that comes surprises, and emotions that the reader just falls in to. We also get to follow Trey, Brantley‘s brother, and Magnus. It’s amazing with so much going on in this book, with all the relationships and the emotions that you feel, there is also the case they are working on which affects Magnus personally. The writing just flows so seamlessly that you are drawn in feeling every bit of the emotions. As much as I love the happily ever after at the end of the books I am just ready to keep on reading this series and following not just the cases that they take on but the characters are just so wonderful that you want to be a part of their lives. So much happiness at the end of the book, yet so much more to come.
Confessions is the 7th book in the Brantley Walker : Off the Books Series. What can I say, I love a good Nicole Edwards book, especially if it not only continues one story, but two more and sets up for new book in the future. Confessions, has all the characters we have come to know and love. The way that Edwards can weave multiple story lines together into one book is amazing and rewarding as a reader that you don't have to wait for the next book to hear what is going in other character's lives. Confessions is the best book to start off your summer reading season.
Sex & Suspense is what I think of when I talk about this series! And this one with extra sexy! Nicole Edwards has always had wonderful characters & while suspense it’s my go to genre, (I may or may not have read the ending in the middle of the book!) it gives so much more depth to the characters in this series. Plus we get to catch up with all our favorite Walkers. I may love, love, love Brantley & Reese & JJ & Baz, but I can’t wait to read Trey’s story!!!
Nicole Edwards is back with another story that will consume you.
Confessions beautifully showcases Nicole's talents as a writer. Her stories are so complete they leave me love-sick and satisfied. This story is expertly balanced with thoughtful dialog, a gut wrenching plot, delicious sex, and wonderful characters full of devotion.
Expected release date May 24th... Wow this release will be sooner that what I expected, I already pre-ordered it on Amazon, I loved the "cliffhanger" (honestly I didn't feel it like that) on the last book because I wanted drama, I wanna see how things goes on this one hoping for the best
Nicole Edwards does it again with Confessions… 5 HOT stars for this installment of Brantley Walker off the Books. I absolutely love this series each book gets better and better, and the development of all the characters just gets richer and richer. And of course this installment is just as HOT as or maybe even HOTTER than the previous 6 books; you will not want to put this book down!!!
Reese has a lot of explaining and apologizing to do in this installment and he does not help himself any by staying away for 6 months in Dallas recovering from the gunshot wound he received while trying to protect his ex-fiancé from a botched kidnapping. Reese knows he “F” up really bad, he also realizes how very much he loves Brantley, and Reese knows he has to do everything he can to get their relationship back on track and hopefully Brantley will forgive him.
This is where I really loved this book, in the details of how Brantley and Reese worked through this major crack in their relationship. They both had to work through the betrayal of what Reese had done, but they both also had to confessed to each other what they had truly been feeling the last several month.
The other characters in the series have great story lines also, JJ and Baz thankfully are still together and it is so go to see JJ and Baz both finally getting some happiness (I won’t spoil what that happiness entails). I LOVE the storyline of Trey and Magnus, there is SO much more to be told with these two and I can’t wait to read it all. Of course there is a case the team has to work and solve in this book with the missing of Ava March (a very close friend of Magnus) and something tells me this is not going to be the last we hear of Ava, I am thinking she may play a significant role in Trey and Magnus relationship in the future, only Nicole knows that for sure, so we will all have to just wait and see.
The end of this book made me smile, laugh and waiting for the next installment!!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

This book is really great!!! I loved reading every single word and didn't lay it back down until I was finished. The last book if you have read it was gosh just hard to read and we went through a lot of turmoil with all the characters who are couples mainly. Confessions picks up right where the last book left off and I was so excited to find out what was going to happen. I would be lying if I didn't say I was super worried about what was going to go down between Reece and Brantley. He is after all using being shot as an excuse to not go back and deal with what he is feeling and Reece has always been one to avoid feelings at all costs. I don't really want to get into the story because I'm afraid I might give something away. These characters after all have become family to each other and I loved that they picked who they thought of as family. This series and this book are absolutely amazing. IF you haven't started the series you really should. I am a big fan of Nicole Edwards stories and her way of weaving them together and blowing your mind and Confessions was just so special I don't even have the words to say how invested I am in all these characters lives and what happens to them.
The much anticipated next book in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series is here with Confessions by Nicole Edwards. This author has delivered a book that is a roller coaster of a ride with the emotional ups and downs, the revelations and discoveries, and the character developments all rolled into a must read book of the series. However, I will say that the previous books should be read before reading this book to follow the character developments over the course of the series.
Brantley and Reese are two strong men that are too stubborn for their own good. And even though we were left wondering what was going to happen between the two of them in the last book, they both make some discoveries and revelations in this book. It was wonderful to watch this happen while reading how they realize what is most important to them individually and together. Of course there are very sexy times between the two of them that Ms. Edwards is well-known for that cannot be missed.
We also get to read about developments with JJ and Baz, and Trey and Magnus. Both of these relationships have had their ups and downs and curve balls thrown at them while trying to navigate life. Then to watch them persevere through the difficult times to see a bright side is a wonderful thing. I can't wait to read more about both couples.
Finally, we have the cases that the OTB teams work on that are a suspense/mystery read and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I love how this author weaves all of the different points of view into the story to create this wonderfully complex world of characters and story line, that will keep you coming back for more.
As always Nicole never disappoints and this was once again another 5 star read. As with this series this book is best enjoyed if you have read Secrets as this book picks up 6 months later from the ending of Secrets. In this book we see Reese and Brantley having to overcome some obstacles to get their relationship back on track. Reese has made many strides in coming to terms with his sexuality and it is in this book that he finally realize that Brantley is the one for him. Reese must amends for his actions and after a heart to heart talk with Brantley we see that relationship back on track. We also see huge strides being made in the Baz and JJ relationship and with a major development we know that there will definitely be more in store for them. Another storyline in this book is the Trey and Magnus storyline. In this book we are introduced to Ava, she was briefly introduced to us as a friend of Magnus but in this book we get a lot more information about her and Magnus and their previous relationship. It is in this book that Trey and Magnus both come to terms with their feelings for each other and they both realize that they are in love. Can't wait for the continuation of their story and see ho they end up with their happily ever after. I would definitely recommend this book and this series to any reader that love a great love story. If you love solving crimes and figuring out Who Did It, this series would also be a great recommendation for you. Nicole, thank you for another great book and I absolutely can't wait for the next installment.
Confessions Brantley Walker: Off the Books, Book 7 By: Nicole Edwards Narrated by: Tor Thom, Charley Ongel
This series has it all. Romance, suspense, family, excitement and let's add kidnapping to make it even more interesting! This book is six months after our last installment and follows the kidnapping of Ava, Magnus's best friend. Ava's story is heartbreaking, and Magnus will win your heart. Now not only does this lead to a whole new dimension to Trey and Magnus, but her story is extremely interesting! Plus we get Reese coming back, the broody Brantley, and JJ and Baz as they explore their new path together. Edwards has a knack of pulling me into her families and making me a member, investing my heart and needing to know what will happen next. But this series is not just the Walkers. This ensemble of co-workers who are essentially family had me thinking of them between books, wondering what was in store next. This is what makes her series so good. Grab book 1 if you haven't started this series, and give it a try.
To enhance the story, we have Tor Thom and Charley Ongel portraying these amazing characters. From book to book, these two have consistently kept the voices of each one. Thom has that accent for Reese, that slight gruffness for Magnus and broodiness as Brantley. It's so easy to fall into the story with him. Ongel, grabs hold of JJ, with the stubbornness that is truly her, and easily creates an old lady in the next breath. Then pulls Ava out, with a personality perfectly fitting. This team gives it their all, and it's a pleasure to listen to.
Confessions: Brantley Walker Off the Books is the seventh book in an amazing series. I can’t even tell you how much I’ve grown to love these characters. My favorite part about this series is yes, you get Brantley and Reese’s story, but you also get JJ and Baz, Trey and Magnus and so many lovable side characters. Travis and his gang. Our beloved Walkers and new characters to fall in love with. Confessions is six months after Secrets and I’m not gonna lie, I wasn’t sure it was all going to be ok. I’ve been patiently awaiting this book. Nicole didn’t make us wait long and she didn’t break my heart. Bruised it a little, but sometimes life and asking for forgiveness does that. Reese is back in town and has a lot to say to Brantley. He’s not sure how he’s going to be received, but he’s cautious and hopeful. He needs to put his heart on the line for love. Brantley doesn’t know what to think when he sees Reese. He’s still so angry, but he’s also still in love and happy that he’s ok. They know they have to work through what happened, but in the midst of that, Ava, Magnus’s friend goes missing. Now the team has to work quickly to find her. JJ and Baz and happy and trying to figure out what’s next for them. Trey and Magnus also come to a realization while searching for Ava, and I couldn’t be happier! Overall, it was everything I wanted it to be and more. Looking forward to more from the series and can’t wait for Trey’s story!
After the ending in the last book in the series I couldn’t wait to catch back up to the OTB group and see what happened next. Reece was letting his insecurities get the better of him and went to meet with someone from his past, while doing that he ended up getting shot and once Brantley knew Reece was going to be ok, he left. Confessions picks up six months after those events and Reece finally heads home. He is unsure what kind of reception he will get both from Brantley and the task force, but he is determined to have both back in his life. As much as Brantley still loves Reece, he is unsure if he can put himself through the ups and downs again. They get unexpectedly pulled into a case involving Magnus and it pushes Brantley & Reece to work together again and gives them a chance to talk. Can they work through the issues & insecurities they both had to be happy & have a future together? We also get to see glimpses of how JJ & Baz are doing now that Molly is not a part of their lives, and it is great to see them finding their way together. As the team works to solve the case we get to see more of the relationship between Trey & Magnus and just how much that has changed from when they first got together. I am super excited to see how their story plays out after the events in Confessions. Once again, a wonderful story filled that will captivate you until the very end and have you anxiously waiting for the next installment.
This is the seventh instalment of the series and the books are getting better and better. The last Book “Secrets” left us with such an emotional cliffhanger that I was anxious for this new instalment. How do you repair a relationship; how do you fix what you broke. That’s the dilemma facing Reece at the start of Confessions. As Reece tries to work through these issues, Magnus is accused of kidnaping a woman that has come to be special to him. The OTB task force is on the case. This missing persons case is the best case that they have solved so far because it is more personal to the characters.
The relationship between Reece and Brantley is a highly emotional one and I loved reading how they resolved their issues. There are more scenes with Baz and JJ and Trey and Magnus. I can’t wait to see how the relationship between Trey and Magnus develops.
This book is beautifully written. There is good feelings, remorse, forgiveness, realizations and lots of relationship developments. Love and emotionally passionate and steamy scenes are woven throughout the book.
I just love this group of characters and this is my favourite instalment of the series so far. Well done Nicole! I was given an ARC for an honest review
Keep them coming Nicole cause this series is amazing! Left hanging in the last book Secrets as Reese was shot in the chest defending his ex-fiance'. Brantley was so upset when he found out that Reese went to dinner with her behind his back that he left and went back home to Coyote Ridge. Reese had a long recovery and also decided to stay in Dallas for six months because he felt horrible how he handled things. The time has come to back home with his tail between his legs and pray that Brantley will accept his apology. When Reese shows up Brantley was not happy to see him, well at least his dog Tesha was. Boy did he have a lot of work to do to convince Brantley how sorry he was and how much in love he is with him. A big missing persons case comes in as they are trying to patch things up. At it hits close to home. Magnus, Tesha's dog trainer and Brantley's brother Trey's hidden secret fling, is now getting framed for a missing woman named Ava. Magnus's sister's friend that he has protected for years. She is also the wife of a local senator so things are getting complicated. JJ and Baz are also back and with the Molly mess behind them they are moving forward full speed. LOVE all the characters and quite a few other Walkers have mentions in the book. Another great mystery to be solved and the love scenes between all three couples will have you wanting more!!!! Must read!
If you have not read this series yet, go as quick as you can and buy book 1. You won’t regret it. I’m loving this series, I love Brantley and Reese.
Ever since reading Secrets, I have been sitting on pins and needles waiting for Confessions to come out. I kept wondering what Nicole had in mind for Brantley and Reese. Well I can tell you now that it was worth the wait. This made me so happy!
Was it easy? No, definitely not. Reese had a lot of apologizing, confessions and groveling to do. Their trust had been broken and needed to be mended. Brantley had been so hurt by Reese’s actions that he had to forgive and Reese had to forgive himself also but their love had never died. There’s a surprise in their relationship and can’t wait to read more.
There also was a lot of drama with the new case which involved Magnus. This drew him and Trey closer and brought out some new revelations. I’m really looking forward to reading more about this relationship.
And O. M. G. Baz and JJ’s relationship is hot off the charts, going strong!! New things are happening for them.
I am so excited to see what’s next in the task force cases and of course how things progress for our 3 couples!!
“Do you think I should get a haircut?” Who is asking this of them-self?
We are continuing on from Reese’s injury where questions were still left unanswered. Nicole definitely does not fail to draw you into the storyline. Question, is Confessions by 3 relationships? * Reese & Brantley * Trey & Magnus * J.J. & Baz Each couple has been fighting demons set upon them, some are smooth sailings but others still are offering more. Reese/Brantley left so much unresolved since their last encounter. Trey/Magnus, well, here a new spanner is thrown into their path. Magnus is dealt with a new mystery, one where OTB team are involved. Life will change for Trey & Magnus and presented here is only the foundations of what will be presented in the future - Ava March. J.J & Baz, well these two still embed themselves into your heart, leaving you wanting more which I’m certain will make appearances soon. I’m trying not to spoil, because Confessions is full of well - Confessions. As stated, each book in the series always involves a case, but here it became personal for a couple. You will be left breathless, heartbroken, chuckle every now and then and always wanting more. I sincerely hope the wait won’t be long. Nicole never leaves you unsatisfied.
Gah… Zing… Off the Books (OTB) is Nicole Edward’s best series. No offense to the others but her writing has grown and improved over the years since she began writing. This book contains the stories of three couples we’ve previously met and whose love story started more than a year ago. (Brantley & Reese, JJ & Baz, and Trey & Magnus). This is not a series where two (or more) people meet, fall in love quickly, and their story is completed within the pages of the book. We get to experience the character’s romance and trails over time and the author throws in suspense with the OTB task force’s search for a new missing person. In prior books, Reese, JJ, and Trey are the three characters who are reluctant to let themselves find love, but they are now ready to jump in. Or course, there are delicious sex scenes you expect from Ms. Edwards. The cliffhanger from Secrets (prior OTB book) is resolved and the next book (Trey) is set up nicely. After reading Confessions, you will what’s coming for Trey and can look forward to more installments from the OTB series. Don’t miss this one. This book gives you drama, suspense, and a lot of love.
5 Star Review Confessions (Brantley Walker: Off The Books #7) by Nicole Edwards The seventh book in the Brantley Walker series from Nicole Edwards and after how the previous book ended I could not wait to see what she had in store for Brantley and Reece in particular.
As I have come to expect not only from Nicole Edwards but this series in particular, there is a great balance of steam, romance and, suspense and danger. After the shattering of their relationship in the previous book I started this one a little on edge. It was entertaining to watch them work through their issues.
There are other members of the team that are also trying to resolve/start relationships and this just added an additional layer to the story that Ms.Edwards wove. This was another gripping, suspenseful read with twists and turns which had me hooked from the first chapter to the last.
Her characters are always multi layered, with a great deal of depth and easy to fall for. Ms.Edward’s Confessions was a fast paced story, with plenty of action both in and out of the bedroom and was a great addition to the series.
Confessions is part of the on-going story about members of the OTB task force - Brantley and Reece, JJ and Baz - as well as Brantley's brother Trey. It starts 6 months after the last book - Secrets - left off. So while it could be read as a standalone, it is much better to read these books in order to fully understand the history and get the full experience! I was fairly sure that Brantley and Reece would get back together. But the how, when and what was needed for it to happen still had me anxiously awaiting this installment. And it did not disappoint! This book is full of honest feelings, steamy scenes, friends and family, a great surprise and of course the nail-biting suspense that comes with solving the case of a missing woman. And that case put me through the wringer - I was so so mad at the villain and felt so much for the victim! It was great to see it come to a happy-for-now end. Confessions definitly is both a page-turner as well as a highly emotional book. My personal favourite in the series so far! I was fortunate to receive a free copy of this book and leave this honest review voluntarily.
The gang is back for another installment in Nicole's Off the Books series. Brantley and Reese have much to discuss after the last book when all heck broke loose between them. It has been 6 months since the shooting and Reese is ready to go back to Coyote Ridge and explain everything to Brantley but is he ready to listen is the question. That problem is put on the back burner when Magnus is taken into custody in reference to the disappearance of his friend. Since Trey and Magnus have been fooling around for over a year, Trey vows to clear Magnus's name. They soon realize it is time to call in the rest of the task force for help. As the search begins Brantley and Reese try to work things out. JJ and Baz are happy together and Magnus and Trey are falling deeper.
This is a great series with action and lots of great hot sex scenes only Nicole can give us. When I read one of her books I know I will get a amazing story and she hasn't disappointed me yet. The only thing I wish was for her to strength out Reese and Brantley getting back together. I wanted more angst between them. As usual she leaves the reader wanting more.
Waiting for this book after the way the previous one ended was torture, but MAN was it worth the wait! The pining, the betrayal, the anger, the love and emotions that are still evident even after all that time and pain, is all there and dragged out when Reese returns to Brantley and the team six months after being shot. All the emotions were out for this book, and I loved seeing these two men find their way back to each other over the course of the events in this book. They have DEFINITELY not lost the heat that burns between them either.. holy hot as hell.
I also quite enjoyed getting to see JJ and Baz so happy and doing so well. And we get much more Trey and Magnus finally and WHOA, what a story that will be! The team has all come so very far since they were brought together and I can’t wait to see how far they all go. The next book can’t arrive fast enough… so maybe I’ll just go reread the whole series again to hold me over until then.
If you haven’t started this series please start with book 1, sit back, and enjoy the (very sexy and action-packed) ride!
Nicole Edwards and this series are the best out there. If you're looking for the perfect way to spend some self care and time to yourself, don't wait another second to buy this book or start the series if you're new to Nicole Nation!
Reese and Brantley's relationship left off in the previous book with many unknowns. Reese returns after six months and boy does he make up for the time away. I fell in love with him all over again as he lays his heart on the line for what he wants. Not only do you get lots of Reese and Brantley, you catch up with JJ and Baz and dive deeper into the relationship of Trey and Magnus with some new characters in the mix. The task force has a new mission to help one of their own and buckle up because it is a wild race against the clock full of love, support, anguish, surprise and new beginnings.
It's a book not to be missed and somehow I'm always wanting and waiting for more!
Confessions is the 7th book in the Off The Books series and its another great addition to Brantley and Reeses story. We also get more of JJ and Baz who's relationship progresses after Baz's recent fiasco! (All In book 6) Then there's Magnes and Trey who are still trying to work out their feelings for each other and what that means for them. The missing person case that arises in this book is an old family friend of Magnus's sister, Ava March is married to a local senator but her married life is not all rosie. Her disappearance has the whole task force working hard to find her. Will they achieve that goal? I never give spoilers but this book will have willyou guessing but there's twists and turns, Nicole likes to keep us on our toes and this book is no different. I loved this book and I recommend the whole series. Another massive 5 stars from me.
