The Hitman

To save his race, Eric will have to risk losing his soul. If he still has one…
Being the Order of Witches’ Hitman, is not Eric’s view of an ideal job. But he can’t deny he is good at the job. If he can find the traitors, he might have a way out of the mess he finds himself in.

It seems Eric is not the only one hating being an assassin. The sexy Sacha Garcia, from the renowned clan of assassins, is having her own morality dilemmas. Too bad the world cannot wait for either of them to address their internal turmoil.

* The Hitman is book one in the Urban Fantasy Series The Order’s Assassin. Join our favorite witch and former cop, Eric from the Intern Diaries Series, in his own spin-off series. The world is a lot steamier when Eric is center stage…and lot more dangerous.

A Wild Ride On The Dark Side!

The Reapers are helping an assassin, Eric, to find Rafael, the man who betrayed The Order. Meanwhile, Sasha, an assassin from the Cortez Family of Salem, has the same assignment. Eric getting his mark is a matter of pride, while Sasha’s is a matter of ultimately survival within her family of assassins.

Just when they thought they had their mark, he got into a vehicle with his bodyguard, and the vehicle exploded! Despite the evidence, something doesn’t feel right. Everything may not be as it seems.

DC Gomez does an incredible job of diving into the dark side of the supernatural world. The fight scenes are realistic, and the investigation side allows you to follow along with the clues. My only complaint, if I have to have one, is that it was too short, but it does make you want book 2, The Traitor, right now! Unfortunately, you have to wait until 20NOV. I’ve already got mine of pre-order and cannot wait! Well done!

Great Short Story

D.C. Gomez never fails to deliver a great tale. Once again, she draws me into the world of magic and supernatural beings. Weaving a story filled with interesting characters, mysteries to hook you, and twists to shock, the author pulls you in.

Though this is a great short story, it's not long enough. LOL This was a strong start to the new series and set things up beautifully, but it left me wanting more. It did it's job in tantalizing me, and I devoured it. Now, I'm anxious to get into the next installment.

Clearly, I recommend this title to anyone who loves tales with witches, demons, and shifters. If you love paranormal and supernatural intrigues, this is for you. It's an enjoyable read!

This is one of the first urban fantasy books I've read. I wasn't sure about it but it grabbed my interest from the start. It's a quick read not only in length but the pacing is fast. I never came across any boring parts - there was always some action taking place. The characters are more than one-note, which I would think would be difficult to have in such a short novel.

I won this book in a giveaway, along with the second one in the series, which I haven't started yet. This isn't one of my usual genres so we shall see if I continue on after the second one. Looks good so far...

The Eric we love from the Intern series is now a hitman for the Order? Not sure how I feel about that. Follow him as the searches for the traitors

Let me start by saying I can’t say enough good things about this author or her books. I started with The Intern Diaries and was immediately hooked. This series is a spin off from that one, but you can start with this series without having to have read the others. That’s another good thing about this author; even her spin-offs tie in together in a way that doesn’t confuse you if you haven’t read the other books yet. But be prepared, you’re going to want to read the other series too.

Let’s talk about Eric. I wasn’t really a huge fan of his in The Intern Diaries. It wasn’t that he was a bad character, but I just didn’t feel him. That being said, I like him much more now. A lot of how he acted in the other series makes more sense now.

As far as Sasha goes, I’m still undecided on her. I think I like her, but it’s still a little too soon for me to tell. She’s definitely an exciting character, though. I’m looking forward to seeing where she ends up.

The action in this book is great. It seems realistic, and it’s written in a way that makes it easy for me to see in my head. That makes a huge difference for me and makes the whole book come together better for me.

I demolished this book in one day. I hate to say anything negative, but my one complaint is that I’m not a fan of where she ended the book. That was frustrating. BUT the 2nd book is out now, so you can go from one to the other without having to wait. I’ve read the next book, and it’s even better than this one.

I loved this book and am really looking forward to seeing how everything pans out for Eric and Sasha. It’s well written, fast-paced, and completely kept my attention. It doesn’t have the filler that other books do. Every scene, every word, serves a purpose and I appreciate that.
