ok this one wasn't overly bad, but i just couldn't really get through it. it felt like a chore for me. i did read through spoilers before i dropped it, but it just made everything 10x worse for me bc it was so cliche. and don't get me wrong, cliches ARE fine. but i just CANNOT for the life of me continue on with this one
it is so bad i don’t understand why i gave it a chance. fast pace, everything’s rushed and unrealistic. i could go on but even my bad review is a waste of time. bye
Mmm, estuvo bien, siento que el final fue muy apresurado, pasaron muchas cosas en pocas páginas, y bueno, el final abierto de una posible secuela no es muy de mi agrado, fuera de eso estuvo bien
This one mashes up faux novel transmigration (as a time loop function), arranged marriage problems, a divine battle between good and evil, and imperial infighting. A woman awakens as Ethel, a side character in Return and Follow the Flowery Path. She tries to accept the role handed to her but gives up on her unhappy marriage after two years and fights to separate herself from the Cassius Family and the lead Riena. Things are complicated by an impending monster wave, a fake saint, blessings of the goddess, and an impending change of rulership. The writing takes a few moments to comment on different forms of love, selfishness, and perspective which is nice. Also the first few times it twist the plot to roll in a new antagonist or idea it is interesting but by the seventh or eighth time... it becomes a bit too muddy. It's better than a bland plot with nothing, but as a reader I felt like the goalpost was moved several times in the final act making the resolution feel unearned.
