Bittersweet
Charisse Woods’ life was turned upside down the moment she found her husband in their marital bed with another woman. This act of betrayal devastated her; quickly shutting her down and making her bitter to love, which was an emotion she was more than happy to embrace. After literally bumping into a sexy ex-football player on a girl’s night out, he takes an interest in her and although she was attracted to him, there was no way she was going to let her heart get trampled again. So, to avoid all of that, she offered him her body and not her heart, hoping that the purely sexual relationship that she craved would be enough for him.
Germaine Lewis could have any woman he wanted. As a premier player in the NFL for ten years, getting a woman’s attention was never a hardship until he met Charisse. He probably should have moved on from her but there was something behind her sad eyes that pierced his soul and made him want to get to know her a little better. So, he tried his luck, hopeful that she would give him a chance to take her on a date. But when she only presented the option of being together physically, he jumped at the opportunity and trusted that he could possibly, over time, finesse that into more.
As their physical relationship grows more into an emotional one, and love slowly starts to creep in, Charisse gets scared. Adorable
A second chance romance for divorcees was a lot of fun. Germaine was a retired football player who his wife cheated on with a good friend. Charisse was a divorce attorney whose husband cheated in their home. The two met decided to be sleep buddies and, over time, came to care deeply for one another. The fear was real for Charisse because of her slimy ex, so the next steps for the couple were at snail's pace. In the end, you will like this HEA ending.

I love everything about this story. Germaine was a true sweetheart without being a sap or a pushover. He obviously had swag and was sexy to boot! Charisse was a bit meek with the whole Michael situation, he would have got beat you hear me! Beat for having that shack in my bed! Perfect ending s as well 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

November 14, 2023Skim read,so no rating.Catches hubs in bed w ow,who is preggo.The affair has been ongoing 3 years.H soon realizes ow is no prize,enjoying ex's pain and lamented how troubled she was that his ex upgraded to sports star.H wishes for the ease of his life w ex.She eventually gets over the betrayal, achieves HEA w new man.

Happiness Ever After
This book starts off with a bang. Charelle is shocked and devastated. Germaine went through the same thing. One is determined to move on and find love. The other promises never again. Love is taking chances. I enjoyed this trip with Germaine and Charelle.

This book went on for way too long, it just fell very flat, I honestly didn’t get the point of this story. I wasted my time to be honest.

Good read

A Great Love Story
This was an amazing storyline even after both characters faced being betrayed and had to learn to trust again they allowed love to win .

When disillusion meets "maybe". A reluctant second chance. great story. I am removing a star for such an abrupt out-of-character ending.
