I only stuck with the series b/c I bought it. I had forgotten that I'd already listened to the first book in the series. It was the better of the books. I usually like Carly's writing. it's light romance with a little angst, but all the stories in this box set was like listening to a recycled plot with different characters.

I wouldn't recommend this series.

XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED. Three sexy club owners each find their own sexy woman. The stories all have an element of healing from an old pain. The first two books have a dangers person the women need to get away from. The third book is much more complicated emotionally. They are good books, but the sex scenes are explicit.

Not my cuppa. I played them all in the background while I did chores for a couple days but each book
sounded nearly the same and I wasn’t convinced of the danger/scandal, of the necessity of the male MCs being so over- protective and controlling, or of the various romances.

Healing with a Side of Drama

The name of their nightclub, TEN29, may represent a horrible time in their lives, but the club itself brings them renewal in the form of the women who help them heal and grow. I liked each book. The relationships are great with plenty of sizzle, but I think the thing I most love are the friendships.

I read along with the audio book. The narrator, Angela Dawe, did a good job. Even though I'd prefer a counterpart for the male voices, she was easy to listen to.

BTW - prior reading (Dare to Love, NY Dares, and Knight Brothers series) isn't required, but I do recommend it if you can.

More Than Sexy 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - White Knight
From the beginning, I really liked Faith (Holland) Lancaster. She's determined to make her dreams a reality despite some tough experiences.

Jason "Jase" Dare... well, if you've read any of the Florida Dares books, you know that they all have issues that stem from Robert Dare, their father. Jason isn't immune to it. Couple that with another traumatic event, and he's an extra fun nut to crack. I like him and his noble response to things with people he cares about, but he comes across as a bit of a martyr, which I found to be a detractor.

She knew better than to trust any guy, let alone a nightclub owner she’d just met. Even if he had been her savior tonight.

He's a bit over-the-top and commanding when it comes to the perfect stranger that Faith starts as, but I like how he makes it work for him. I mean, one kiss and she was.... You know what, I'm not going to finish that sentence. When you read it, you'll understand.

We see a little more of Robert and Savannah. I have always been on the fence about her, but she somewhat redeems herself.

Scarlett Davis gives, or is it takes, 🤔 - no matter, herself one heck of a birthday present when she brazenly states her intentions to resident bad boy, Tanner Grayson. Girl, we should be friends. Seriously.

I love their chemistry. Even as they navigate some issues, the chemistry never fades, and it is hot!

From the gentleman worried about hurting her, he turned into the dominant man he’d promised he’d be.

Scarlett's best friend, Leigh, not only provides insight, but she is funny and keeps it real. I truly need to join their friend group! I love their friendship and how they look out for and support each other. Healthy (female) friendships are a life saver, and I love the way theirs is portrayed.

Don't get me wrong, Tanner is no slouch in the friend department, but his friends, despite owning a night club with him, aren't much fun... 😆 ... in this book. They're plenty of fun in their own books (or at least, I assume for Landon).

Better than Sexy 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - The Right Muse
Nearly from the start, I felt for Vivienne (Vivi, Vivi Z) Zane (Clark). She was in a no-win situation. I admire her attempts to get through everything quietly, even if she felt she had to put herself last.

The combustible energy she shared with Landon Bennett threw everything out the window. I didn't like how he initially reacted to her secret. At the same time, I recognize how realistic the response is, not just from him but also his friends and family.

But she’d taken off her cap for a brief second, and his gaze was locked on her face, his body captivated by her voice, and his dick completely engaged in a way he hadn’t been in years.

I liked the pacing of the book, which had small time jumps to keep the story moving along. This made it a relatively fast and easy read that I enjoyed.

Iba con las expectativas bajísimas porque los libros de esta autora me entretienen pero nunca me terminan de convencer y la verdad es que esta trilogía la he disfrutado bastante.
