As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.

My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.

My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.

I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

I love to hear from readers, so please email me!

When Abbie Blake visit her brother in Maine one of his coworkers catches her eye.
They are immediately attracted to each other but keep their budding relationship quiet. Abbie will soon be returning to her job with the CIA in Cairo but she starts putting out feelers to see if a job with LSI in Maine might bring her closer to Rick in the long run.

“…she wondered if something else was out there for her. Home. Family. Waking up next to someone who she loved, and they loved her.”

Rick Ranking has enjoyed working along side his brother at LSI. An opportunity arises to return to California and help Carson get LSI-WC off and running he doesn’t want to pass up the chance. But keeping this info to himself and not sharing it with Abbie causes a strain between them.

“…if Abbie would ever give him a second chance, he knew he’d be the luckiest man alive.”

When Abbie finds herself in danger, Rick, Blake and their teammates at LSI jump in to keep her safe.
I loved the blend of romance and suspense in this newest Lighthouse Security Investigations - West Coast story.

RICK by Maryann Jordan. Another delightful read by Ms. Jordan. I have adored Rick in previous books and was so excited to hear his tale. Abbie and Rick have quite the road to their HEA. There is danger and adventure and an even a few bumps along the way. Abbie is a strong, independent woman. I will be honest and say it took me a bit to like her but as the story progressed, I grew to like her more. The story certainly takes us on a journey through Cairo which was interesting and fun. Overall, another great addition to this series. (Received ARC for honest review)

You will not be disappointed with this book. This is probably one of the best researched books I’ve read. MaryAnn has gone out of her way to give us a story that keeps you guessing until the end. Rick, Rank’s brother has been with LSI but has decided to join forces with Carson out in California with LSIWC. However before he moves he meets Abbie, William Blake’s sister. She has returned to Maine to visit family from her job at the embassy in Cairo, however she isn’t just a low level worker. However not everyone in Maine knows some of her secrets. Prior to leaving Cairo she was working an issue that her boss said could wait for her return. Abbie and Rick get together and everything seems okay until Abbie learns Rick is going to California. Is this important yes, enjoy the book to find out why. In the meantime her boss calls her back due to the death of an embassy employee. Things begin to heat up with accidents that are murders and what is the reason. As we all know Egypt is a country of many artifacts and antiquities which begin to play a part in this story. MaryAnn will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat to discover who is or are the villains. Enjoy a wonderful visit to Cairo through MaryAnn’s characters in this book.

I was given and an ARC copy for my honest opinion of this book.

Once out of the Navy where he was a SEAL, Rick followed his brother Rank to Maine where for the last couple of years he’s been working for Mace and Lighthouse Security Investigations. But as much as he loves his brother, he’s ready for a change and be part of the new division of LSI in the West Coast.
Abbie Blake works at US Embassy in Cairo. She’s been in the Army and CIA and currently working in an important position (though partly undercover) for her boss in Cairo.
When her leave comes up she decides to visit her brother William Blake, in Maine. Never expecting that the fling with Rick would become more than that.
But shortly before she’s called back she finds out Rick has kept a secret from her.
When Abbie finds herself in danger, she calls Rick. From the moment he rushes to Cairo , the danger intensifies as well as their feelings.
Will Rick be able to help Abbie ? If they survive, will they go their separate ways?
This story was a good addition to the series, though I have to confess that it took me a while to warm up to Abbie.
Kudos to the author for her accurate descriptions of Cairo and surrounding areas.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Wow I'm loving the LSIWC team and Rick! He is ready to help grow LSIWC with Carson and team. While it was a difficult decision to leave Maine, Rick is ready to move to Cali!
Abbie has been working for the American Embassy in Cairo for a while. She really hasn't made a lot of friends but is ready to visit her brother Blake in Maine (he works for LSI and Mace)
Rick and Abbie hit it off when they meet. Secrets come out and Abbie goes back to Cairo while Rick goes to California. Back in Cairo, Abbie is tasked with investigating her friends death.
Maryann Jordan has a lot of plot twists and turns for Abbie and Rick. She kept me on the edge of my seat. Can Abbie and Rick figure out what is going on in Cairo? Can they get past their secrets?
What an amazing story! Maryann Jordan descriptions of the sights, food, smells and the hustle and bustle of Cairo made it like you were dropped in there, part of the adventure! If I could give it more that 5 stars I would! I highly recommend this book!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this wonderful book, if you enjoy travelling in your books then this is for you. Both Abbie and Rick have brothers already working for Lighthouse Security in Maine and Rick has been there too but as Carson is setting up the west coast branch he’s decided that he wants to be in at the beginning of somewhere new. Abbie is in the CIA based in Cairo, Egypt. Maryann describes Cairo so beautifully you feel you are almost there in person. Abbie is asked to help investigate the unexpected deaths of two members of the US embassy and when she mentions it to Rick he immediately feels he needs to be closer to her to assist and lighthouse security become involved. I won’t give away any plot spoilers but this story is fast paced, emotional and exciting. I really enjoyed it.

Rick is another superb addition to the Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast series. Ms Jordan's writing style is so polished and finely detailed that I felt like I wandered through Cairo along with the characters. Heady stuff. There's lots of intrigue, cloak and dagger plotting, murder, stolen antiquities, cheating spouses and compromised government employees. Then there's the white hot romance between Rick Rankin and Abbie Blake. All I can say is...phew!!! These two were perfect together. Rick is one of those books that, once you start reading, you don't want to put it down. Stellar!!!

Family and friendship. Major skill sets for both Rick and Abbie, security and secrets. Chance meetings, sparks, more sparks, and complications. And then her job becomes more than behind the scenes support. Prepare for another page turner from the computer of Maryann Jordan. Beloved and colorful characters, warmth and humor. Bravo!

Rank's brother and Blake's sister?

It could be very good...or very, very bad!
Fortunately, whilst it is a bumpy journey, both Rick and Abbie are smart people who don't let the bumps affect LSI.
I really like them both individually and as a couple, as younger siblings they have a unique understanding of the others thought processes and feelings, although as a guy Rick obviously messes up!
I love the LSI WC team byplays and interactions, it's an awesome addition to the series.

The description of the places they visit brings the story to life. Great plot and a page turner from the start. Thoroughly recommend.

What a great addition to the Lighthouse series. Strong characters in Rick and Abbie who definitely have chemistry. When Abbie needs help in Cairo Rick and LSIWC and LSI come running. Can they find who and why before anymore are killed? Combination of romance, suspense, and characters that will have you unable to put it down until the end no matter what time of day or night it is.

Great book!

This one was a bit different from what I expected in a Maryann Jordan novel. Rick and Abbie had an instant tangible connection. One that felt as if they were meant to be. Then Rick omitted an important detail and Abbie was called back to work. I am trying not to give too much away so I am going to leave this review there. I'm hoping that's enough to pique your interest.
Happy reading!

The LSI-WC team is quickly becoming a favorite and one I highly recommend. Of course, we previously met Rick as a Maine keeper but he really comes into his own, out of his brother's shadow, when he moves to California. However, before he makes the move, Blake's sister, Abbie, pays a visit and there are some instant sparks. They start off agreeing to one night but it quickly turns into more as they connect on a deeper level. Things are going great between them except Rick does a stupid man thing and keeps it from Abbie that he is transferring to California while she is contemplating leaving the State Department to work as a Keeper in Maine. Unfortunately, he gets outed before he has a chance to tell her. Men! I kept up quite a commentary telling him to tell her and then shaking my head when she leaves before they can clear anything up, lol.

Abbie Blake works for the State Department in Egypt as an intelligence analyst and is called back from her vacation to investigate her friend's mysterious death. Her heart is bruised from trusting Rick and even though she acknowledges that he didn't have to tell her his plans as they weren't in a relationship, she's still hurt since she confided in him. She's determined to put him in the rearview except Rick doesn't let her do that. He stays in touch by texting which progresses to calling as Abbie's heart thaws. (She still tries to keep him at arm's length but we know how that works out, lol). As Abbie's investigation leads her into danger, Rick and his LSI-WC crew step up to help her solve the mystery and keep her safe.

This was such a great story. All of the usual romance and suspense along with an international setting that made me feel like I was right there watching it all play out. I always describe a Maryann Jordan story as a finely woven tale that's not to be missed. Congratulation to the author on another fabulous story. I cannot wait for the next one! 5+ stars!

What a great book!!!! Abbie lives around the world doing what she loves best. The army needs her special expertise in her field. She gets to go home for a few weeks and has what’s supposed to be a one time only but you know how that goes. Rick is a LIS that is getting ready to open up California branch. He doesn’t know what hits him when Abbie comes into his life. He wasn’t looking for anyone and now he has the biggest decision to make.

Ms. Jordan brings together the siblings of two of the original LSI members. Rick is Rank's brother and Abbie is Blake's sister. Ms. Jordan transports the reader to Egypt where Abbie is pulled into the field to solve a crime. Ms. Jordan's descriptive writing makes me feel like I am actually in Egypt. The action takes us to the Nile, The City of the Dead, and other places. Rick and Abbie even get the ride a camel. This story was filled with everything I love about Ms. Jordan's books. It is a wonderful addition to the LSIWC series.

This is book three in The Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast Series and it is Rick and Abbie's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Annie had been a military intelligences captain in the U.S. Army and now worked for the CIA in the American Embassy in Cairo under the guise of a office worker but she is now looking forward to taking a holiday back in Maine and staying with her brother who works for LSI while deciding if she takes the job at LSI as well as she had been offered a job there when her contract in Cairo finished. Rick worked for LSI but now.he was transferring to there West Coast division so that he can live his own life without feeling like he was always living in his brother's shadow all the time. When Rick and Abbie meet the attraction and chemistry between them is instant and off the charts hot that electricity sizzles all around them and there connection brought them together for now as they were both going in different directions in there lives but will murder and danger bring them back together giving them a second chance of happiness. There are many twists and turns along the way and danger is all around them watching and waiting for the right time to strike but will they be able to find the people responsible and bring them to justice before it is too late. This series just gets better and better with each book written and I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next and it was so addictive that it had me on the edge of my seat and holding my breath and kept my attention right from the first page until the last one. I definitely recommend you read this book and other's by Maryann Jordan who is an amazing author and writer and her book's are definitely worth reading.

The latest installment in the Lighthouse Securities West Coast series by Maryann Jordan is a serious page turner! From the very beginning of Rick's story, I was intrigued by our hero who, while he loved and admired his brother Rank (a keeper from the original Lighthouse series), was eager to break from his brother's shadow and forge his own path. That path led him to the newly formed Lighthouse Securites West Coast division. What Rick never dreamed of before joining LSWC, was that he would meet and subsequently fall for fellow keeper Blake's sister Abbie.

Abbie, a no-nonsense independent woman on a break from her work with an undercover CIA outlet in Cairo, Egypt, originally had panned her initial encounter with Rick to be one night of no-strings-attached fun, and had zero intentions of it going any farther than that. However, after that one night both of them realize there was a spark of something that one night just could not extinguish, and from there the real meat and heart of the story ensues.

I found myself completely engrossed in the world Maryann created, feeling like I was in the story myself, and could visually see the settings and characters in my mind. The story is beautifully written, well paced, and more than once I had force myself to put the book down so that I could get at least a few hours sleep before work!

If you are into military/paramilitary/security style romances filled will suspense, intrigue, excitement, alpha males, and strong female leads, then this is definitely the book for you! I am already looking forward to the next installment in the Lighthouse Securities West Coast series!!

Rick and his brother Rank work for Lighthouse Security Investigations. Wanting to forge his own identity and make a name for himself, he takes a job with Carson at the newly started West Coast division of Lighthouse Security. Before he goes, he goes out to fellow worker and friend’s secluded lake house—Blake. He wasn’t looking for company or a woman, but found Abbie. Abbie, Blake’s sister and CIA agent, is staying at Blake’s during her month off. She too, was not looking for a relationship, but it was “love/lust” at first site—neither of them initially knowing each other’s family. They decide on a one night stand that turned into WAYYYY more. Although they kept their relationship under wraps, they didn’t do as good of a job as thought. When a misunderstanding coincides with Abbie having to return to Egypt urgently, Rick thinks he’s lost her forever. He does reach out to Abbie while she’s gone. At first, she doesn’t respond out of hurt. Slowly, she decides to forgive Rick and their communications become more frequent. When she sends a plea for help, Lighthouse Security kicks the investigation into gear and Rick takes the next flight to Egypt.

This is one of the best novels by Maryann Jordan that I’ve read! The detailed story, the intrigue, the twists…all had me guessing and sitting on the edge of my seat! I loved the descriptions of Egypt and the work Abbie did for the CIA. I never knew that kind of position existed. I also felt like I was actually there, going along with Rick and Abbie as they tried to solve the murders. Absolutely LOVED their story! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Rick is the next installment of the LSI-WC series and is the story of Rick and Abbie. The story is about new beginnings, adventure, danger and a bit of instalust. Rick and Abbie both have brothers who are Keepers in Maine. Rick is brought to Maine because Rank is there and he loves being near Rank and loves being a Keeper but when the opportunity to move to California and help Carson build the very same thing that Rank was able to build in Maine, he can’t wait for the opportunity. It is good for him to have something of his own and not be in Rank’s shadow. Abbie, who is Blake’s sister, is visiting Maine from Cairo where she is stationed for her job with the CIA. They meet, have some instalust and grow close. After a misunderstanding because Rick doesn’t share that he is moving to the west coast, Abbie heads back to Cairo with much left unsaid between them.

Once she returns, Abbie is offered the opportunity to look into the death of her friend and others she knows and runs into some danger in Cairo. She reaches out to Rick for help and he jumps at the chance to go to Cairo to help her. They grow closer amid the danger and adventure there and find their way to a HEA.

My favorite thing about this story was the way Maryann wrote Cairo. It felt so well researched and you can tell that she had first hand experience with life in that area. The descriptions of the food, the sights and the city and culture made the city so real for me and made me feel as though I was truly there! Great story and not to be missed!

There is not on blessed thing to not love about Rick and Abbie’s story. It’s absolutely beautiful from beginning to end.

Maryann Jordan puts so much into her stories, the knowledge and understanding portrayed in situations and beliefs of other cultures is mind boggling and just adds to the overall depth.

Rick is a beautiful character. He’s so open to finding someone, he’s such an alpha male, a protector at heart and stunningly breathtaking to boot. What isn’t there to love!!
I love the fact that whilst he wants to protect the woman that is becoming monumentally important to him, he can also see how strong and capable she is and doesn’t strive to suffocate her.

Abbie is a beautiful soul with a side order of strong independent woman. An awe inspiring combination. She knows her own value and won’t have anyone dismiss it or her. Watching her traverse the path of danger in order to find justice made me so proud. She didn’t flinch from any situation and worked seamlessly with Rick’s team.

Maryann Jordan has once again knocked it put of the park. She picked us up, fastened us into the rollercoaster and took us on one heck of a ride full of passion, love, suspense and danger. A heady combination!!

I love the depth Maryann gives to each and every one of her characters. They quickly come to life and embrace us in friendship.

Absolutely fantastic read.
Can’t recommend highly enough.
Not enough stars in the sky to fully portray how wonderful this story is.

Abbie has enjoyed her time in Egypt working with the CIA. Though lately something seems to be missing from her life. She’s got a long overdue holiday coming up. Spending time in Maine with her family is just the thing she needs to decide on her future. However, working for Lighthouse Security Investigations is where she’s thinking of going. Time to investigate if it’s an option.
Rick as enjoyed his time working with the guys at LSI. He’s loved working with his brother there too. When the option to join the new LSI team on the West coast he’s all for it. He loves the ideas of helping to build the new business, and there’s nothing personal holding him in Maine.
Abbie and Rick click from the get go, and they quickly develop strong feelings for each other. However, before Rick can explain to Abbie, his move is revealed, and Abbie feels used. She is then called back to an emergency at work before Rick can talk to her. He’s not giving up though. He’s found his other half, and will make things work, even if it’s slow going. Without realising it Abbie has stepped back into danger, and it will only be with Ricks help, and a couple of other from LSI-WC that she might survive.
This book is rich in background detail of Egypt, including some on daily life. It’s has an original storyline that I’ve not come across before, and kept me reading to the end. I do love this authors writings, and for me this is one of her best.
