Wendy escapes a loveless marriage by way of Neverland. Pixie dust only brings her as far as Captain Hook's ship. As an adult, she comes to view the pirate very differently. What will Peter do when he finds out?
This was an enjoyable short read. It starts off rather rough, but things get real interesting once Wendy and Captain Hook start trading words.
Both Wendy and Hook's characters grow mentally and enotionally over the course of this story. There is strong attraction to each other, but neither one takes advantage of the other. There are several times where they almost give in to their desires, but nothing happens until closer to the end of the book.
Peter Pan is present in parts of the story, but he is not the focus, and he is quite a mean and selfish character.
There were a few grammatical errors, at least one sentence repeated, and spots where it seemed he/she/his/her were mixed up. Otherwise, this book is a good pick if you're looking for an adult follow-up to Wendy's adventures in Neverland.
