Suddenly Married is a fast-paced romantic comedy that will have you falling in love with the characters from the first chapter. Kira Jones has found herself in dire straits. She needs quick cash to start her company. Luc Beauford is a PR nightmare for his father's firm. A player, partier and he may have just slept with America's sweetheart, and she just might be married.
This is a match made in Fake Marriage heaven. Kira is hired by Luc's father to spy on him and babysit but the tables soon turn, and she finds herself his bride. This couple has an instant chemistry, great witty banter and yes that underlying smolder. Get ready to laugh, swoon and be entertained by Kira, Luc and their zany escapades.

Mí humilde opinión:

Suddenly Married es una historia de venganza y un matrimonio falso. Realmente me intrigaba, el argumento me atrajo y tenía todos los condimentos para ser una historia interesante pero al final no lo fue, terminó siendo bastante floja.

Yo esperaba que sucediera algo en todo momento mientras leía pero se volvió aburrido este tema de la venganza y las mentiras, no sucedía nada emocionante aquí para mí.

Kira y Luc sufrieron mucho con sus familias. Luc por el abandono de su padre, la trágica muerte de su hermano y la enfermedad de su madre, Kira por el engaño de su hermana y el ser ignorada por su familia. Como personajes individuales eran atractivos, me llegaron pero...

Qué pasó con Luc y Kira como pareja? La verdad es que a veces se me hacían algo insoportables con sus discusiones. No hubo realmente un desarrollo en su relación romántica. Se casan por conveniencia y de repente están cayendo enamorados. No sentí una real conexión entre ellos, me pareció hasta forzado, hasta en las escenas de sexo faltaba sentimiento.

Todavía no termino de entender la parte del comienzo cuando los paparazzi les sacan una foto juntos en la cama y que es la razón por la que se ven obligados a casarse luego. Yo me quedé parpadeando, en qué momento le tomaron una foto en la cama si estaban en la habitación de Luc en un ático de un edificio seguro? Nadie cuestionó esto, ni ella ni Luc.

Luc no preguntó ni una vez a Kira porqué aceptó espiarlo o porqué aceptó casarse con él, nunca la veo contarle para que necesitaba urgente el dinero.

Además de las inconsistencias, la historia necesitaba algún conflicto o algún giro sorpresa para no dormirme porque perdía mí interés en algunas partes.

El final estuvo bien con ese cachorro para la reconciliación pero el epilogo de dos meses podría haber estado mejor!

This was my first read from this author. I really enjoyed this story from start to finish. However the reason I gave it four stars is because it was written in the third person point of view which is a deal breaker for me. . Kira and Luc's Story . . .

Kira Jones needs money to open her own business in New York. The job she takes is babysitting a naughty French bad boy, keeping an eye on what he’s doing, and reporting back to his father. But when they are captured in a compromising situation, the two of them have to agree to a marriage of convenience.

Luc Beauford has his own agenda as he wants to avenge his brother’s death. Going along with the PR thing and marrying Kira was not in his plans, nor was the overwhelming attraction to her. But faking the marriage leads them to real feelings. Will they accept what is happening between them? Will they actually fall in love? Or will Luc insist on sticking with his plan regardless?

This is book one in the Suddenly Love series it appears each book can be read as a standalone however one why would you read only one? Going after your dream is all that Kira has planned for herself trying to figure out how to earn enough money to start her own business is her goal so when she is offered a babysitting job that will earn her enough to start her own business is an offer she can’t refuse and so babysitting a billionaire how hard could it be (yep no one took into account fate would be pulling all the strings ensuring the outcome is what she wants 😊). Luc sexy as all get out billionaire has one desire revenge so visiting NY isn’t just pleasure, once he sets his mind to something/someone he usually gets what/who he wants and to the public eye he must be the squeaky clean but do that he now has to get married. He knows his father had a hand in hiring Kira but neither of them can deny the attraction is there between them it is instant; it is intense so much so that neither of them can ignore the pull happing between them. So when need to marry arise why not marry Kira the one women who takes no mess from him despite his bank account, who doesn’t walk on egg shells around him, but each one of their reasons him wanting to outsmart or get revenge on his dad and she needs to save her cousin but will it last, what they are feeling can it possibly be real, why is he revenge on his father, what did her cousin get into, and can they find their own HEA?

Luc Beauford had arrived in New York from France just a week ago and already he has a stream of women coming and going. His father, Charles Montague is fed up and hires Kira Jones to be his assistant and get him in line.

Having to wake him up certainly wasn't in her job description, but she had no choice. They had a meeting to attend, and she also finds she needs to get her libido in control. He certainly isn't what she expected.

They needed to do damage control since he managed to sleep with an American sweetheart who happened to be married. Little did she know the damage control would be her.

A marriage of convenience, a year, one in which Luc would learn his father's business and for Kira it would put her in a better place to start her life over here in New York.

It also provides a way to level the playing field with her family, especially her sister.

This is a fun and sensuous read, with plenty of twists and secrets.

This is book number 1 of the Suddenly Love series and focuses on Luc and Kira. Luc has recently relocated to New York from France in an effort to pull off his revenge plan against his estranged dad. Kira is hired to be his assistant and to keep tabs on him. When they are caught in a compromising position they go along with the marriage of convenience plan. Little did they know that a marriage between them showed them exactly what they didn’t know they were missing in their lives and led to them finding the person they were meant to be with. What started off as fake quickly turned into so much more. They had some bumps in the road when secrets and plots came to light but it opened the door to some much needed healing for Luc. This was a great introduction to the series! I can’t wait to see what else this series has in store for us.

Tropes: Compromised, Fake Marriage, Married in Haste, Revenge.

A dirty talkin’ French hero?! Oui s'il vous plaît!!! Luc is all kinds of yum and he and Kira are just so delicious together!! This book made me giggle and sigh!! Enjoyed every minute I spent reading it.

Just one little thing…. In the beginning, Luc was very suspicious of Kira’s motives and her connection with his father, so I just wish that there was a conversation between Luc and Kira on why she needed the money. But it didn’t take away from the story.

Kira needs to earn money to start her own business, but maybe babysitting a gorgeous French billionaire for his dad might just be a mistake. Luc is only in NY for revenge, and he's determined not to let anything get in his way. If he's going to succeed he has to be "Mr. Clean" in the eyes of Dad and the public, but due to a comprising incident, a marriage must now happen. They may not admit it but maybe a marriage isn't a bad thing, considering the heat between them. They say revenge is sweeter served cold, but unknown truths may change the story. Be sure you get this first book in a brand new hot and sexy series so you can read all the ups and downs, the ohhs and ahhs that I'm difintely not going to tell you.

* I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.* Kira meets Luc when his father hires her to keep an eye on him. Some how (which I still can't figure out how) they were caught in a compromised position. Lucs father suggests they get married. Honestly I really enjoyed this part of the story. We got to learn more about Luc and Kira individually but also watch them grow together and fall in love. I've read quite a few Carmen Falcone books and this was probably my most favorite in awhile. It kept my attention and wanting to come back for more. Hopefully we'll see some of Kiras cousins in future books!

This is the first book in a new series. I can tell you I'm already hooked on this series. I loved Kira and Luc. Luc's back story really hit me in the heart. Then when he visits his mom my heart was just sobbing for him. That's what made what he creates with Kira so special. Kira's new job assignment turns into way more than she bargained for. This was a great fake relationship/marriage of convenience romance. You could feel the connection of these two. They also brought the steam. My heart melted with Luc's grand gesture. I'm already looking forward to the next book which I'm really hoping is Poppy's.

Luc is in America and he needs to keep his image up and he gets a babysitter. Kira needs money to start a business and is hired to watch Luc. There are circumstances and they are to marry for one year. Plans they had are changing because maybe this marriage should be real. Great start and I loved Kira she is a wonderful person and I could relate to her. Luc is well Luc. He is certainly a catch but he is so much more. I enjoyed the story very much. . He marries her to get revenge on his dad and she marries him to save her cousin. This is a must read. I really enjoyed reading this book.. Carmen Falcone has outdone herself this time! I won't paraphrase the story here. You can get that from Amazon or Goodreads. Carmen's books have always been hot and spicy, but this one brings on a slow burn that will keep you up late reading and then give you the best dreams. So buy a copy, grab a frosty beverage, and lock the door. Oh, and you might want a fan. Just sayin'.

Revenge with some steam.

This is a fast paced read with Luc looking for revenge in NY and Kira agreeing to babysit him for money so she can start her business. Suddenly married is what they are and Luc takes full advantage of the marriage with full benefits.

It's been a whole since I have read a book from this author, and after reading this I cannot understand why. This book had an amazing storyline with some romance and more heat than I was expecting. I did enjoy the characters and their interaction drew me in. This being the start to a new series I can't wait to read more, and I definitely think I will be going back to find all those books of her that I missed and binge read them!!.

Steamy new series by a first time new author for me. Loved the chemistry between Luc and Kira with many small subplots, which kept the storyline very interesting. I enjoyed how upbeat Kira was thru everything, starting fresh and keeping close to the ones who support her. It was great to see Luc finally opening up and having that hard talk with Charles, some much needed healing that was important to happen.

I love this story when I read the US version. The characters are compelling and thoughtfully written. The heat levels are off the charts and the emotional growth toward their happily ever after is fabulous. Another 5 Star book from Carmen Falcone!

When Kira gets an offer to “babysit” a grown man and spy for her boss, her mantra is “don’t sleep with him” but it gets harder to resist when the dirty talking Frenchman gets under her skin. Luc moved to the U.S. and took a position in his dad’s company when his father decided to acknowledge his existence and now he is all about revenge and is plotting against a deal that his father wants badly, wanting to rip it out from right under him. He knows Kira is a spy and is cautious what he tells her….but she has a way of getting under his skin as well…but will he lose her once all is revealed.
A good read with steam, a dirty talking Frenchman, betrayal, forgiveness and great characters. Knowing what Luc was and that he was with a few others, one just that night before meeting Kira, was a bit of an icky point for me but there was more to him than met the eyes, which when you get to the heart of him….Oh My….fanning my face frantically. I would have liked a heart to heart with Kira and his addictions as well as Kira, opening up about why she needed the job so badly. I still enjoyed the story, if flowed beautifully, I loved Kira and her loyalty and forgiving nature and the steam….ahem…Luc and his dirty talk….ahem.

Becoming involved in a fake relationship was something they'd planned. Their personalities work well together but the attraction between them cannot be denied. When Kira moves to NY with her cousins she doesn't expect to be in a fake marriage with her bosses son. Luc came to America to get revenge on his father. A fake marriage later and things can change.

For me the story was good, however I had a hard time relating to Kira. This made the story hard to read for me in some places.

Suddenly Married is book one and a great start to the Suddenly Love series. The writing is well done, the characters are likable and the ending is perfect. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
