দেড় নম্বরি’র নয়টি গল্পে প্রেম এসেছে নানা ছুতোয়, অলিগলি পথ ধরে। জীবনের মতন করে। কখনো পুরোনো দেয়ালের শ্যাওলার মতন, নাছোড়বান্দা। ডিমের কুসুমের এক কোণেও শামুকের মতন প্রেম জন্মে। লোভী দাঁতগুলো টকটক করে ওঠে নরম মাংসের ভালোবাসায়। কারও কাছে প্রেম শীতকালের মতন, গুটিশুটি আদুরে বেড়াল, মটরশুঁটির দানা। কখনো প্রেম শকুন্তলা দেবীর একান্ত, সেই প্রেমের সুতোয় টান দিয়ে ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছে রোজিনা। প্রেম এসেছে খেলার পুতুল হয়ে, এসেছে সবুজ নেইলপলিশের ঝিকমিকে কৌটায়, শেষটুকু দেখার আশায়। যতবার জীবন এসেছে, প্রেম কি আসেনি? বিষাদ হয়ে, অপেক্ষা হয়ে?
