Definitely my least favourite of the Steamship inaugural titles, but it's starting to take on a sinister edge that makes it more intriguing. And I must say that I'm impressed that the story made me reconsider my opinion of Alfred. I still don't like him, but I do understand him now.

I was happily surprised starting this volume. The concerns I had leaving volume one were quickly resolved. Then we introduced someone that has me VERY nervous to see where that goes.
Overall this is one of those mangas that as each volumes comes in I'm planning to devour it and impatiently wait for the next.

While this series certainly has its issues, I'm enjoying it thoroughly. The smut is top tier, and I've enjoyed getting to know the love interests. This one focused mainly on Alfred, whom I did not particularly like in volume one, but he learns his lesson and by the end, I came to have some empathy for him. The worldbuilding is fascinating to me, so I'm excited to learn more.

3.5★ - starts off rough (alfred is literally a man-baby and way too extremely pushy/non-con way). that woman doctor is a wildcard...I thought she would be a female ally to mashiro, but it seems like she's definitely got her own shifty agenda. and the premise is still so ridiculous, I have to stifle a snort every time I read about 'neutralizing the poison with their fluids' lmfao. but the smut is getting better, definitely focused on mashiro's pleasure, and alfred does calm down/learn what consent is. honestly the final extra chapter was the best (//ω//) the descriptions and imagined scenes were phew 🌶️ and the doctor's commentary was hilarious. I think I will be continuing this!!

TW: It's very heavy on dubcon, more so than the first volume. It honestly borders on noncon, but she does ultimately agree to the actions... after they refuse to stop.
It will be interesting to see where the series goes. The series feels like it's going down a monogamous route, which SUCKS for a REVERSE HAREM, but I digress, I will still thirst over Lord Omi either way. Also, for being a wrapped book, there are not a lot of explicitly drawn scenes. A lot of times, it's alluded to. Show me the tiddy. >:[

The art is phenomenal in these novels but I really don’t like how these celestials all take advantage of this poor girl. She really is struggling out here, and she can’t do much to defend herself since she needs specific liquids from each celestial to counter the poison in her body. I wouldn’t rush to read this one, and would honestly recommend buying this second-hand if u have the option.

3.5 stars. I'm really enjoying this so far, and I like how things are potentially getting darker? I like learning more about the world and the 4 celestials. Definitely going to be picking up the third one ASAP.

The art continues to amaze. It is gorgeous. The story and plot has progressed and improved from book one. I love getting more of the backstory. (Also the humor thrown in helps!)

Ugh, Alfred sucks. Rapey emo stalker boy. I hate that this volume was all about humanizing and excusing his awful behavior by painting his backstory in a sympathetic light, and that Mashiro forgives him because she feels sorry for him. The guy even pulls a 'I can't live without you' guilt trip on her. Throw the whole man away.
Again, emotion and tone all over the place in this story, from smutty breeding kink that's a little more consenting--except for Alfred, most of their interaction is outright noncon--to emotional and sad as Mashiro learns more about what happened to the world and what her lot in life is going to be. I love the little found family she's getting with her two fae kiddo attendants. There's also a new subplot with the introduction of the lady doctor and whatever her ulterior motives are.
Still hoping Mashiro's going to start putting her foot down on boundaries as she accepts her fate. Not expecting her to go full dominatrix who's dtf all the time, but also not screaming 'no, stop' and being ignored. Doctor lady already hinted to her that she can make these guys do whatever she wants, now we're waiting on Mashiro to own it. Let her be a sub, not a victim, ffs.

I like this volume more than the first one. I think that Alfred redeemed himself at the end of this volume for putting Mashiro's wants and desires over his own while expressing that he was willing to forgo the pact that he made with the other celestial beings. Despite this, it's pretty obvious that Mashiro has the strongest feelings for Noah, but I don't know how to feel about him. The man was a peeping Tom at the end of the volume and his interactions with that doctor, who I do not trust, were a bit suspicious.

The story gets better as Alfred and Mashiro straighten out the kinks in the relationship, but there is trouble ahead,as there is something going on in the realms of the princes.
There is also a new character named Eve,who seems to have her own motives while she manipulated Mashiro for her own goals.

Alfed's story! He's a little creepy at first, but then there's a backstory and so he's not so bad. I thought the backstory was a little long and I wanted more interaction with him and Mashrio. I thought the female doctor was a little creepy too. I hope she's a good person.

Not my favorite, but by the ending, it seems like we're finally getting a bit of plot and intrigue so I'll stick around a little longer and see how that pans out.

It's really just not very good...but I want more Steamship titles, so I'll keep buying it.
