When life brings the battle to you, You bring the battle to life. Rise, warrior. Rise. The Battle Within is an inspirational and adventurous memoir relevant to our times. Autobiographical in nature, the book tells an incredible story of a boy whose life was turned upside down-from his family falling victim to Mumbai mobsters to moving to a one-room apartment, to coming to the US with just five dollars and finally, becoming the lead engineer of the most advanced mobile chips in the world. Ankit's journey inspires the readers to not give up on their dreams, to give their best and make it happen. It inspires one to stay strong in every situation life puts you in.

Crisply narrated with a descriptive narrative, it's a bit slow-paced journey with a smooth flow of words. Each chapter has a story to witness, a struggle to witness. The simple language and the intriguing writing style of the author, the candidness in the narrative make this book lively and easy to read.
There's so much to learn from this book. From the struggle of an immigrant to balancing home and work, it's a journey worth witnessing.
Failures are the resources of our success. If one takes failure as a lesson instead of losing hope, he will shine like a star. Because hard work never fails. This is the centre point of this memoir. The author intended to give enlightenment to the readers from his life lessons.
This book walkthrough you from the childhood of the author. He has faced an immensely hard time in his life. Even though destiny rides him into the complicated situations the author has been raised with controlling his sensitive mental compass.
The author has walked across the acceptance of the painful reality to achieve his dreams and finally elevated his life. He has determined to find a way out of the unexpected situation. He hasn't digressed his dream. Instead of he has put his analytical mind into action. He took risks and came out of his comfort zone during a recession to solve the problem.
Not only in the recession throughout his life, but he also has struggled to get his essential needs. However, he has learned a valuable lesson from his hard times, rejections, and failure. He has tended to guide the readers through his book.
Such a heart - wrenching story 🙂. This story is not revolved around a single person . For me it revolves around the whole family . A family who suffer alot in their life . A family who stand with each other in their hard time.
Although it's a autobiography of and by @ankit.p.gupta
The story which may inspire you , motivates you to fight which may realise you that hardwork will always give fruits to you . The story of hardwork beats hardluck. For me it's an amazing read . Although , the story is normal but gives you a number of lessons.
Some part of the story is so ...like what i say that incident of burning of books , photographs like..when you thrown out of the house in mid- nights .. It's so painful.
The incident when your hardwork goes in vain. All of us may be relatable at some point to it. Because we all suffer academically as well as financially. When you don't have computer and your work related to it. When you don't get scholarship and you already suffer financially. This story is quite captivating. Tells you what is the meaning of struggle .
Meet number of people in the story . Get enough knowledge related to engineering field .
Brilliant presentation . Language is quite lucid , full of emotions , portrayed a positivity while reading . Give the essence of hardwork . Tells you the importance of family ,especially Parents ❤️.
Overall its a great read for me as i love to read non - fiction more . Non- fiction of this genre met you to reality . Gave you the power to face . And when it comes from the person who struggle alot to achieve great things. While reading , i illustrate the whole picture of the book. Sooo so good. I Loved it and definitely RECOMMENDED ❣️. COVER :- beautiful blue book 📚

▶An inspiring read: an autobiographical account of determination and success
• Insights: Survival of the fittest. It is not only true metaphorically but also literally. This autobiographical account taking cues from the author's personal life is about domesticating all struggles and emerging as a winner in the race of life. A family's life uprooted by mobsters in India, young Ankit moves to the US with just $5 and then finds his way to become a successful professional in one of the best companies in the world. It is a memoir, a story of a winner, of values and cultures in the midst of the hardest of adversities. Makes for a wonderful motivational read, especially for young professionals struggling to make a mark in the corporate world.
• REVIEW: The story is an extraordinary tale of adrenaline and grit- relevant to contemporary times. It introduces the author Ankit Gupta with a bang- his writing style and narration is extremely hopeful, positive and relates to every young engineer looking to make global careers. A lot of engineers from India move abroad to make their careers in international companies, their initial struggles and tough times are usually overlooked by society. It is only the success that people remember, they fail to identify the battles behind. Grit is a fine tale of such a boy, who finds his identity and footing in the most difficult circumstances in the midst of a foreign land.
• STRENGTH: - Storytelling seems closer to reality, it is the story of every corporate survivor The language is easy to comprehend Is available in an attractive hardbound cover- best for your library collections
• Drawbacks: It is a lengthy read, one needs to be able to relate to Ankit to finish the book in its entirety
• TARGET READERS: Fiction lovers/Aspirational engineers/ Indian professionals moving overseas
Some stories stick with you, some don't. Grit is a story that still strikes a chord in me. Sometimes some books need to be reviewed, some don't. And I felt I would do a poor job by reviewing this powerful and elegant story of Ankit the protagonist.
The author through his convincing writing has put together a realistic and believable story of Ankit whose life is topsy turvy due to Indian mobsters. The reader won't be surprised by this fact. Because India is not new to mobsters but the courage and prowess that Ankit shows through thick and thin are what makes this story gripping.
Even the idea and tropes of rags to riches, slave to king, chaiwala to billionaire etc. aren't new to us. Almost every Indian dreams to prove oneself and rise. American Dream is not an illusion it is a possibility that an Indian tries to fulfil. Many through legal and some through illegal ways. Ankit with just 5$ paving his way to the US and then making his way to the top is surprising and inspiring.
Now don't you think, you are missing something truly important and something that will fill you with positivity to march ahead despite odds your way not to prove to the world but to gain success?
⭕ Why do I recommend this book to you?
💯Because it is a lengthy read (just kidding😜). Yes, it is lengthy, but anything precious comes only after a little pain. So it's worth it.
💯Since it's autobiographical, you relate to it instantly from the start to the finish.
💯From the cover to the interior of the book is fantastically designed, and you would want to have it in your library of inspirations.
💯The language is easy to understand and down to earth.
💯For once you can believe that, at times, luck favours you, alongside your hardwork.

Grit: The Battle Within by Ankit Gupta is one of those stories that will remain with me throughout my life and I'm sure that it will be inspiring me at different times of life in different ways.
This is an autobiography, which tells us the story of author Ankit Gupta's inspirational story. The story is about an Indian boy who witnessed the hardships of life when his father lost his job and some hired people come and threw them out of their apartment and now they were living in a one room apartment. He then works hard and is now a developer in the company that creates chips for iPhones.
But just when he thought that now his time has come to live a Happily ever after life. He is suddenly jobless and in a debt of $25,000 dollars. The story tells us how he fought back and teaches us that we don't lose any battles unless we have lost hope and the spirit to fight back. It tells us to get into the warrior mode whenever life throws a problem at us.
The language is simple yet impactful. It also tells us how savings are an important part of our lives and I realised during the first two chapters of the book that I need to start doing some savings. So this also tells us what mistakes we could do in our lives and how we can avoid them.
This is a must read book for everyone and especially for teenagers and the youths.
The title of the book totally justify the story. It is an inspirational and adventurous autobiography.
Story is very engaging with full of unexpected moments which keeps you at the edge. It is a journey through their memories that the reader experiences. It's not only a story but a flow of emotions of author. His words carry all the pain, sufferings and longing. He has put his heart on paper.
He has written many inspiring quotes in the book, out of which I liked the translated version of the famous poem "Agneepath" by "Harivansh Rai Bachchan" the most.
This was my first book by this author and I am super impressed with the writing and the language and ofcourse the story. The writing style of the author was pretty rich and reader-friendly. It kept me hooked till the end.
A book which opened new horizon for me and gave a new perspective. It made me learn so many things. Recommended to everyone.
✍The Battle Within is a motivational and adventurous memoir relevantto our times. The storey is autobiographical in nature. This book takes the reader on a tumultuous but ultimately triumphant trip across two countries, diving deep into the heart of a fighter and our humanity. This narrative is for those who want more out of life and want to learn how to succeed on both a personal and global level.
✍This book describes the extraordinary storey of a young child whose life was turned upside down by Mumbai mobsters, who moved to a one-room flat, came to the United States with only $5, and eventually became the chief engineer of the world's most powerful mobile processors.
✍That boy's in this story is an author itself. Author writes this story in a well-written manner, the author describes his life path and his period of difficulty. He is now a settled individual who lives in California with his family. The author employs basic language that everybody may understand. I'm grateful to the author for writing this book. Everyone should read this book, in my opinion.
The book 'Grit' is an autobiography by Ankit Gupta. The book is about the struggle of his life and his family's. The story starts with the financial crisis that his father experienced. Everything was good in his life till the moment his father lost everything that also took away his own house. The author continues to face ups and downs in his life from getting scholarship for foreign studies to losing in stock market and then again facing rejections or failures from one job to another. The cycle never stopped and so was the author's determination to succeed.
His life's story is so engaging that i was unable to keep book aside while reading it. I finished it last night and the story is still revolving in my mind. The book is beautifully written and there are few moments which forces you to smile, to cry and to feel the words.
I highly recommend this book to every reader of every genre.
GRIT is about survival, being prepared for the worst times. This memoir describes the life of a kid from growing up as a happy kid to the one hit by a trauma of his father loosing job, zero savings and living in a single room apartment. This journey of his life is intriguing, interesting and on point. However this feels like a forever read, although at times this feels like a nerve striking story which could inspire you or break you.
But definitely at the end if you sit to retrospect into the story one thing you must considering remembering is 'be prepared'. The story line is relatable and experience the grief he went through. The narrative style reminisces the life experiences flashing on with simple yet subtle language.
I can call it as authors memoir of growing up. He honestly writes about the uncertainties, messiness and joy of living with parents, his siblings and later growing up to be who he is now.
Reading this book is like having a great conversation with a friend . Author Ankit Gupta talks to the reader without holding back. He has lived his life on his own terms, and he has done his best to leave no casualties. I sensed a real humility, even when he was talking about his many great achievements. A great journey, a joyous read!
