Book 2 in Mia and Toven’s story did not disappoint. Their relationship deepens, and I loved watching Toven come alive after being alone for so long.
This book had me feeling like a cartoon character constantly chasing bait at the end of a rope that was being pulled away at the last minute. I was waiting for the thread that would lead Toven back to the clan and the family he doesn’t know he has. Trying to figure out how their paths would cross so all of Toven’s worries about Mia could be alleviated.
A couple side stories are wrapped up also, and they had beautiful moments.
5/5 for algorithm, 4.5/5 for review. Still waiting on those revelations, but I know my waiting will not be in vain—though I will not stop thinking about it until book 61 comes out.

Toven and Mia story continues:
I know I say this a lot, it’s because I really really do absolutely adore this series and each book. I have a lot of quotes this time, I hope you love these tender moments and realizations as much as I did.
She might think that he was insane for doing
all of that for her, but the truth was that it wasn't
nearly enough to repay her for reviving his deadened
heart, for making him feel again, and for
making him excited for the next day.
Toven couldn't remember the last time he'd felt
so alive.
Still, Mia might be right about his questionable
mental health. He was crazy to get entangled with
a human, but that young woman had done what no
other had been able to do for thousands of years-
she'd restarted his heart.
The irony wasn't lost on him. The girl whose
heart had given out had zapped Toven's like some
magical defibrillator and made it beat again.
What was it about her that excited him so?
I’m not a charity case.. and I want to be
loved for me and not for my disability.
Tom stays for the wrong reasons, and we spend time
together, I might fall in love with him regardless
of his motives, and then once his savior routine is
over, he might leave and break my heart."

Nothing happens in this book...
I want to be fair and say that I received an ARC in exchange for an honest/objective review.
The title of this review says it all. I looked up halfway through the book was surprised I was so far into it. Nothing significant had occurred in the narrative.
In this book Toven, the lost god, has found his heart's match, Mia and she is far from immortal. As a matter of fact she's got a congenital heart defect that caused her to lose both legs. (Not sure how that's possible but I'm not in the medical field so I don't know the specifics and if she explained in somewhere I missed it.) He is desperate to do anything to make her well, knowing the chance of that happening is miniscule.
The book contains the resolution of a transition, the opening of the new section of the immortals village and the arrival of a new member of the clan. Those may seem like a significant number of events happening but they have nothing at all to do with Toven and Mia. If they ran parallel to the scenes with the main characters, building suspense until they meet at the end resulting in the event we've been waiting for that might have been a better way to reunite the two gods.
Instead they just occur in alternating chapters, the least interesting being the ones with the main couple.
I think you might be able to skip to the next book and not have missed anything.

Dark God’s Reviviscense KU 330 pgs ***.* 4/26/22 Tovan & Mia
3.5 stars. There are so many stories going in this book, you only get a few pages of each couple before it starts rotating with all the stories again. Finally, closer to the end, we get more of Tovan and Mia. Their story is slow going since this is their 2nd book and she has no idea who or what he is. They at least had sex in this story. I kept hoping she would start to transition after that, hoping she would heal her physical disabilities (heart and bilateral above the knee amputations) and hoping that Kian’s group and Annani would find him and end his lonely 8-thousand-year-old life with a happy place and people. A lot of the story was Tovan trying to get the Dr at the virtual experience place to allow Mia to have another session since they had to stop the first one because of her heart. She desperately wanted another session because her avatar was “normal” or “whole” as she put it and she was comfortable there with Tovan seeing her naked and having sex. Ronja went into transition, Vrog had his virtual experience, Amanda went into labor.

Second installment of Toven and Mia’s story continues right where we left off in book 59! It was lovely to read how Toven wanted to do as much as possible to help Mia live as long as she can. It’s sad that he thinks he won’t get much time with her as he doesn’t know about dormants yet. But I’m hoping he won’t have to wait too long in the next book before he gets a huge eye opener and hope!
I also love that we get to experience Ronjas transition from her point of view. There was so much in that little bit of time that helped her heal some emotional wounds that were still laying under the surface.
More of our favorite characters get some time in this book to help move along their side stories and none of them disappoint! Look forward to seeing more stories flourish in the next installment!
I am grateful I was able to read an advanced copy of this story as I love getting to see what happens as soon as possible! I truly love this entire world!

The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 60th book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.
This is the second book for Toven & Mia it had such great development for their relationship. I also cannot wait for the next book as I really need Annani’s clan to find Toven! My one complaint is that we didn’t get that in this book! Now to wait for book 61.

Better
I liked that this book focused more on Toven and Mia. I liked the hints of things to come. And now I have so many questions--
*Are Mia's grandparents biological or is she adopted? (Neither of her grandparents has the congenital heart disease.)
*Could Mia be part Kra-ell? (Just curious.)
*Is Mia going to start transitioning and if so, what would that entail? And does Toven know anything about that? (I'm thinking he doesn't.)
*Will his interest in Perfect Match be the thing that brings him in contact with Annani's clan? (He's probably going to need them if Mia starts transitioning.)
These kinds of questions bring the excitement back tho reading this series. I hope I'm not disappointed in the next book.
(And are we ever going to find out if Khiann has survived in stasis like Wonder did? THAT it's what keeps me holding on with this series!)

Toven has found himself in a pickle
This was hard to read knowing that help for Toven was only a few short miles away from where he currently started before heading to NY and then back to LA.
I’m still hoping that Brian was an immortal on the Perfect Match Team for the clan, but I haven’t heard his name before. Now I want to stop to read the Perfect Match trilogy to see the players involved. But I won’t because it seems like Toven and Annani’s clan are about to meet!
As usual, I skipped a lot of the inner monologue repetition filled with insecurities, self doubt, etc. It’s annoying and depressing after so many books, especially when it’s basically the same thing, just catered to the individual. Not everyone is insecure or has that many insecurities.🙄🙄

As always, I.T Lucas delivers beautifully! Every book just brings more interesting and lovable characters, deeper insights into the world of immortals and gods, and of course, brilliant storylines of love. I just never get tired of this world!
I don't know what I'm going to do when Isabel decides she's done!!! Every time I think maybe she's come to the end, she comes up with another whopper of an idea! This one was #60 and when I tell people that I'm on book #65 (currently), they look at me like I'm nuts. As a bona fide, sci-fi and fantasy, as well as, romance fan, these books hit the spot like nothing else! Add in the Kra-ell aspect and WHOA! AWESOME!!

A little creepy
This has been my least favorite book so far. It just strikes as unbelievable that a 20-something woman in the 21st century wouldn't be creeped out by a guy that she met less than a week ago would buy the house right next door just to be near her. And that she would fly halfway around the world with him. I understand that in that are to be "truelove mates" but this one is really stretching the bounds of believability. I will keep reading the series but I hope future books are little less stalkerish.

I'm disabled and a huge fan!
I love the twist with Mia,I kept waiting for her body to change and connections to be made, its wonderful! The only pain is waiting for the two months till new releases. Usually we do get it early and that always makes my day! I read book 60# last night after all went to bed till 4am ,got it out to finish while the house was quiet today and only had four pages left?!?! So now we wait!

Dark God’s Reviviscence
Mia and Toven’s story is surreal but not forgettable. It’s obvious that Toven is still operating in a bubble and is going about his business kite a love sick young man with to much headspace. Mia on the other hand is operating within her parameters and trying to get “Tom” to own up to what the picture is for their budding relationship. I look forward to the next installment.

Great Book
Things are really going well with our beloved characters that we have watched develop. Amanda and Dalhu’s baby arrives. Another dormant transitions successfully. There is still unsettled waters for Aljah which is not surprising… good things can’t be rushed. The majority of the book focuses on Mia and Toven’s relationship. I can just imagine what and how this relationship will come to be in reality!
I am looking forward to the next book!

I love this series. I can’t wait until the two worlds collide. I wonder how your going to twist the meeting if at all. Who will spot Tobias first? Is it his son who is searching for him or Syssi who hold the key to his answers. I have so much questions. I hope it’s a chance meeting like what happen with his son. Would he eventually seek to find him? I’m curious as to how the new story would play out.

Heaven
So loving this series. My heart breaks when it comes to the end.
I am learning patience and bless you Isabelle not too long to wait.
This series is so hard to find words to get people to read a few chapters. I started with Kian and Syssi.
When i caught up to your series i started on book #1 wow so addictive with the action, traumas, love and tribulations.
I even could visualize and felt so close to the charactors.

Tovan and mia
I was hoping tovan would find the clan sooner meeting his son again and daughter he doesn't know about.plus two grandkids.he thinks he is alone apart from a son that he was to depressed with life to what to know. He brother killed everyone he knew all his kind (so he thinks) it's very sad. But This book put you in the virtual game where he met mia.I got bored of that it went on to long.
Question why haven't kians team picked up his face in the hospitals.

Great!
I love these stories. I’ve read them all and I can hardly wait for the next installment. My only complaint is that these stories are way too short. This book advertised 356 pages but at least 30 pages were dedicated to other books in this series, as well as, the perfect match series.

book 60 and I can’t wait for the next!!
I have read and listening to all of this series and each time I finish a book I get depressed because I have to wait for the next! The way the storyline intertwines is unbelievable and the characters are just as addicting. Giving you just enough of previous characters to stay invested in the entire clan! I can only hope for 60 more!

Passions.....FULFILLED!!!!
As a Female with Mobility issues, I find this Book Refreshingly HONEST! Showing that Both True Romance Dreams and Love are Possible for Everyone! Not simply the Perfect and Complete Person! I'm Very Happy to have joined these Characters in their Journey. I'm Looking forward to Reading the next Adventure!

I love this series and always wait impatiently for the next one. The last book I was not so into the virtual reality scenes, but luckily this one didn't have any of those. I liked the story, the main characters and the secondary story with the other characters. Great read.

Addictive reading

Lovely as always!
Can't say enough about these books. While Toven's story is a bit frustrating since we all know about Dormants and all, I can't wait to see the Fates hook him up with Kian's people!

Farfetched
This was the 1st book in the series that I was disappointed in & found far fetched. Troven & Mia's story is absolutely awful & not believable at all. A very, very disappointed reader.

Its getting juicy & intriguing
I keep getting the new books as soon as they come out & I read through them in one damn day. Then I have to wait, quite impatiently, for the next installment. I'm so obsessed. Love the continuing story. Can't wait for the next. 😍😥

OMG I absolutely love this series
But I hate that we have to wait until June for the next book. I know I have laundry, dishes, floors and kids to take care of, June 25th really?!?!?!?! I guess I’ll have to wait;)
