He was about to be deployed. She was trying to find her place in the world. Three weeks was all they thought they had together.
Five years later, fate found a way to help Stefanie and Nolan reconnect. Yet time has left scars on both their hearts. Nolan is burdened with guilt for a life he couldn’t save. While Stefanie endures the torment of her abusive ex. But a secret revealed will intertwine their lives forever.
Can protecting Stefanie and his newly found daughter from her violent ex remind Nolan he is worthy of love? Or will their second chance be destroyed by grief he can’t escape?
I felt Stephanie and Nolan met at the right time in their lives when they needed something good. Being a soldier is hard when you have to leave your family. I know this from experience as a military wife. For Nolan, he did what he thought was right. However, years later fate had the right idea when they meet again. And now they are intertwined for the next however many years. For Nolan, this is his chance to prove himself, but so many things have happened to him that he is not sure that he can. Stephanie has to think about herself and her little girl and with an ex out to destroy all she is the last thing she needs is a complication like Nolan. Their hearts though will keep bringing them together. Can Nolan get it together before it's too late and he loses the one woman and family he didn't know he needed?
I enjoyed this second chance romance. Nolan and Steffy had a whirlwind romance so to speak. They met 3 weeks before Nolan was being shipped out to the Middle East. They each quickly fell for the other and they exchanged contact info. Nolan knew it would be hard to keep in touch with how the military is. But Steffy lost Nolan’s info and she isn’t able to find him after she gets settled in California.
Five years later and a chance encounter and suddenly Nolan is back in her life and he’s about to find out all that he has missed. It’s hard for him to wrapped his mind around everything and he also still struggles with events that happened overseas.
It takes a while but these two finally work through everything and can have their much needed HEA.
Even though the timing of when Stephanie met Nolan wasn’t ideal it didn’t diminish the feelings between them. They had three weeks together until he left to serve his country however their time together was something that neither will ever forget.
Five years later fate brings them together once again, but the intervening years have changed both of them. Finding out that he has a daughter was a surprise he wasn’t prepared for and he only wants want is best for both her and Stephanie but will he realize it is him before it is too late?
Both Stephanie and Nolan have pasts to overcome and the physical connection between is stronger than ever, but it is the emotional connection that makes what they have so special.
I was new to the author but not to the series. It’s a cute second chance romance. I must say it really want my favorites book but I still enjoyed it. Nolan had a lot to work through due to his time in the military to become the father he wants to be. I really liked Mandy and absolutely loved Tate and Hennie.
Another great addition to the Salvation Society series, second chance romance. Stephanie and Nolan met and spent a few weeks together before he left for deployment. They meet up again five years later, they have a chance to come back together when they meet again by chance. great read.
Omg. I can’t believe I’m finished already. I must say her books are hard to put down. I love every minute of them. Have read 7 now and can’t wait to start another🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Shadowed will tug at your heartstrings and give you all of the feels you want in a wonderfully written love story of second chance love, secrets, and tragedy. This is an amazing trad by Angela Nicole that is a must read.
Oh, this tugged at my heart. Stefanie and Nolan have a hard life and after they meet each other again, they both have to get through what they have been through while they were apart. It's angsty, but sweet, sexy, and swoon-worthy.
