This epic collection was alright. It did have a strong start with the Splinter of the Mind's Eye adaptation, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would. It is really interesting to see how the second movie could have gone had the original Star Wars not become a phenomenon. The dynamic between Luke and Leia is a bit weird though, as they were not planned to be siblings when the novel was initially written. Following Splinter, we have the Rebel Heist series, which I did not like very much. The structure was cool, with each issue focusing on one of the original heroes, and I enjoyed the artwork, but the dialogue and writing felt a bit too heavy-handed with making Han, Luke, and Leia seem "special." The classic Empire adaptation and the plethora of Tales comics were alright. I would only suggest this collection to those who are huge fans of Han, Luke, and Leia and really enjoyed the period between original trilogy movies.

The first 270 pages of this collection are excellent, interesting well written stories paired with solid art, however the rest of the book has little to no value, there is a comic adaptation of the movie and then a bunch of silly garbage level stories.
