Senior year was the year she’d been waiting for. So now that it’s at her doorstep, why does she feel like she’s drowning?

Bree has enough on her plate. With the demands of school, an absentee mother, and a little sister who is… well, let’s just say “gifted,” she’s got plenty to deal with.

She doesn’t need Mr. Popular, Kyle Roberts, interfering in her life.

But sometimes what you think you need and what the world decides to throw at you couldn’t be more different. And just as the world comes crashing down, Bree is tossed a lifeline from the most unexpected of places.

Because the world’s not done with Brianna Dover just yet… and neither is Kyle Roberts.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

i absolutely loved this book. the romance was done to perfection and the chemistry and understanding between the characters was amazing. i loved their friendship and non-judgemental attitudes towards each other. also, i loved how kyle was like an older brother for charlie and called her ‘pumpkin patch’. it was so heartwarming.

this is the second book i’ve read by Orchid Leigh who is such an underrated author in my opinion.

~ i was send this by voracious readers only ~

no trigger warnings i can think of but google to make sure.

Genre/Tropes: YA, Sweet
POV: 1st, FMC
Standalone
STEAM LEVEL: 🔥
——————

Oh my gosh, I absolutely adored this sweet little YA romance. Bree was an amazing FMC with a heart of gold and so much inner strength. She loved her little sister, Charlie, so much and she sacrificed everything to make sure Charlie was taken care of. Kyle was just *chef’s kiss* perfect. He was kind, considerate, observant…an all around prime example book boyfriend. I loved how patient he was with Bree and how invested he was in her AND Charlie’s life. SWOON, y’all.

My heart ached for Bree. Her mom was an addict and depressed, causing her to doubt her self-worth and future. Kyle made her see her worth and found ways to help her in every way. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about his character. Can you tell I loved him?

There’s a bit of OW drama with Kyle’s ex, some bullying, and some angst where Bree keeps pulling away, but Kyle never lets her get very far. He makes her open up and he’s so gentle with her. That was so incredibly sweet and endearing. I honestly can’t describe how soothing and hopeful this story was. It was emotional and at times heart wrenching, but the overall plot was so beautiful. Kyle was Bree’s saving grace but at the same time, he recognized her strength and helped her believe in herself.

A Million Rainbows is a great book for people who are young adults or for those who are older but love reading really great romances.

Orchard did a really great job with the characters I felt attached to all of them and all in different ways.

I felt connected to Bree because I know what it feels like to have to deal with family members who should be the adult but isn't. I felt connected to Kyle because of his loss. He lost his brother/best friend but still tries his best to have hope. To live in the moment.

I absolutely adored Kyle, he was there for Bree and Charlie as much as he could be. He gave Bree space when she needed it but was still there for her in his own way. And Bree's relationship with her sister? It's amazing. Bree shouldn't have had to be an adult when she was still a child but since she had to be she had a really great bond with Charlie.

The romance between them was really sweet and well written, for those of you who are wondering if this book has any intimate pages between the characters I am here to tell you there isn't. This story is really just a beautiful and sweet telling of young love. Two people who are determined to make it work, one step at a time. "In bite-sized pieces"

The reason I didn't give this a five star is because I personally would've loved to see more of Bree and Kyle's relationship but that's really just because I'm a romantic at heart.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to smile at characters fighting for their happy ending.

I absolutely love this story. It was so much more than just a love story. The issues that Bree was dealing with are so complex. Between home, school, bullying, money, and mental health issues I don’t know how Bree keeps it all together. The author is a great writer, I could really imagine what it was like to be Bree. I felt a lot of the anxieties right along side Bree as her life unfolds through out the novel.

I enjoyed the contrast of haves and have nots between Kyle and Bree’s lives, and how each of their struggles in life brought them closer together instead of apart. For being a teenager Kyle is so patient, caring, and understanding with Bree. Also his communication skills are amazing… where was this kind of teenage boy when I was young? Such a sweet sweet romance in the middle of all the other issues going on.

There were so many characters in this novel that I just loved! Kyles mom is the best, and Charlie is my favourite character. I appreciate how open Kyles mom is with Bree. I felt the love for Kylee mom right alongside Bree each time his mom was a help to her. Charlie is so carefree and loving, and her psychic abilities bring something different to the story. There is nothing that I didn’t like about this authors writing or the story she told; therefore, I give it five stars. The story is unique and I would recommend anyone who likes this genre to read it.

I enjoyed this book. The writing of this book made you feel like you was Bree. You felt all that she was going through and I was cheering for her towards the end of the book and finding her happy ever after.

I really liked how the author wrote about true life and how bad things can happen and the way different people react to them.

I also liked the character of Charlie. She made you believe in magic again.

I liked the romance and relationship of Bree and Kyle. It made me feel like knowing your soulmate is one of the best feelings.

Don’t get me wrong I did have a couple of issues with the book for example the title. I didn’t get the reference at the beginning of the story, but at the end it kind of made sense a little. The other thing was that some of the story could have been left out and i believe it wouldn’t have made a difference.

I would recommend this book to others. It does make you feel all emotions and I did have tears a couple of times. When that happens you know the author has got you good. Look forward to reading more from them.

Brianna "Bree" was an amazing big sister, stepping in to take care of her little sister Charlie, because their mom wasn't always able to. But of course, it came at a big cost to Bree. Her biggest deciding factor in everything she does is Charlie's well-being. Bree is smart and has worked hard to be at the top of her class, despite all of the obstacles that life has thrown her way. And then comes along Kyle Roberts. They've been classmates for their whole life, but they never were in each other's circles until senior year!! And Kyle is just what Bree needs as she navigates this thing called life!

I LOVED this book! Kyle Roberts is the guy that any high school girl would be lucky to be with. He's gorgeous, but he's also kind, giving and supportive! He's just the kind of guy that Bree needs. He gives her the support she needs whenever life gets too heavy and he never falters!

This high school romance is sweet, except for the unpleasant bullying.

Kyle and Bree are from different sides of the track. He comes from a wealthy family. She struggles with her daily life as her mother has a big problem. She has to take care of her baby sister Charlie who is adorable. When Kyle comes along, he treats her with dignity. He is the sort of boyfriend that anyone would wish for. Can her dreams come true? Has she found her soulmate?

His parents are supportive and her mother pulls herself together to get out of the rut that she is in. Alo in all, a sweet read that will appeal to readers of all ages. I received an eARC from BookSirens and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

Kyle and Bree . . .

Bree Dover has made it to her senior year, and it’s all she can do to stay ahead. She has to keep up her grades while taking on more responsibility, caring for her younger sister Charlie when her mom can’t. But she doesn’t resent her sister at all. Charlie comes first.

Meeting Kyle Roberts, whether she realizes it or not, is exactly what she needed. His kindness and caring fill a void for her. She can count on him. Despite coming from a wealthy family, he never makes her feel less. He is respectful and supportive.

This story will stir up the reader’s emotions. But the characters are so likable that it is easy to cheer for them even through the struggles. Grab your copy and see if the future will bring Kyle and Bree together in a HEA.

This wasn't the typical 'senior year' opposites attract, relationship focused story that I was expecting. I completely misunderstood the 'gifted' reference and was debating dnf it as magic/paranormal is not my thing but thankfully it was quite a small part of the story. The book is single pov of Bree and her upbringing, she was both far more exposed to responsibility than she should have been and very inexperienced.

A really nice story with just a little bit of a twist. As much as I enjoyed the wonderful characters I wish that there'd been more of the twist factor to spice it up some and keep it from being so much like every other young love story. Please don't get me wrong it's a very well written young adult clean love story! 😉 I do recommend it!

This was a really sweet book. I loved the characters. It’s hard not to love the girl who takes care of her family and steps up to be the parent when she needs to even at a young age. But even better when it all works out in the end!
Definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a sweet happy ending!

A light and enjoyable read. The ending did feel a bit abrupt and I was left with questions unanswered these questions did not stop me enjoying the rest of the story.

Cute YA with a wonderful male love interest and a heroine you cheer on. Has real life issues and teenage conversations and experience. Would be great as a TV series or movie. Very PG-ish.
