Captivated is the first book in the Hybrid Lovers series by Toya Richardson. I have read many of Ms. Richardson’s books now, and I can honestly say that this is my favourite (so far). It is a fantastic paranormal romance, with angel/vampire hybrids, demons, danger, magic, emotion, chemistry, sizzle, fated mates, suspense, mystery, high stakes, good vs evil, the fate of humankind in the balance, action, and dynamic world-creation.
This is very original and a little different from other books of Ms. Richardson’s that I have read-she has developed a winning recipe here, for sure. I can’t wait to get my hands on book #2 to see where we go from here.
If you love paranormal romance, with sexy twins, a ménage, plenty of sizzle, and an exciting story- then you will definitely want this book in your life!

Captivated: Hybrid Love follows Angelina as she finds herself in a spicy love triangle between two brothers. Long before she was born, the Fates set her soul to be destined to these two men for the rest of her existence. It is her love that will help these two men be able to fight demons and send them back to where they came from. The three of them need each other to survive. The way they receive each other’s love is spicy in every way.
This is only my second smut book I’ve ever read. Without experience in this genre, this book is well written. It delivers in every way that one would hope while looking for something a bit more erotic in thier reading life. I think if you’re looking to dive into a mystical creature love triangle with life threatening stakes, this would be the book for you! I liked the idea of the plot and enjoyed the creativity the author put into the story. I can say this book isn’t for me. I don’t think smut is my genre. However, I think it would be someone’s five golden star if this is their genre of choice! Ain’t no shame in the sexy game!

This is my first read from this author and what a first book it was!!
I really enjoyed this story, it was a nice, hot and steamy, easy read. I will admit it took me a while to get into it, the brothers did tend to get on my nerves easily at first but then around halfway through everything changed....the storyline took a turn I didn't see coming, and what followed was a more fast paced gripping read that I ended up really liking and boy did my heart break at times 😭
I'll definitely be looking forward to more from this series.

Let me start by saying I've read all of this authors books and loved them. Now, I'm going to admit RH is not my usual genre to read, but it's a Toya Richardson book so..of course I read it. I really enjoyed it. One reason RH isn't my thing is the OTT sex scenes and lack of story. Captivated wasn't like that at all, the sex scenes had meaning and purpose, the story flowed well, and the characters were likeable. I definitely can't wait to see where this series goes next.

Hybrid Lovers Book One and this author never disappoints me in her writing,

Salvatore De Laurentis and his twin brother Luca the two handsome drop dead gorgeous save her from the hands of Viktor she is now protected , a true love story with a difference.
Wow just Wow this is so different to my normal reads and the story does take you onto a fantasy like no other, Happiness comes along for Angelina how could she say no to these two guys, and I truly enjoyed her adventure, dreams do come true even in mystic magical ways.

This isn't the first book I've read by the author. Captivated is the first book in the Hybrid Lovers Series. The author has outdone themselves by writing this book.

What a read this was - a fated mates, paranormal romance that I REALLY enjoyed and highly recommend.
I've never read anything like Captivated before.
The storyline is brilliant and unique - hybrid angel/vampire twins who have been searching for their mate for centuries, who turns out to be a human who has been dreaming about two men.
Angelina Squires goes from living her normal human life, to finding out that she is the mate of hybrid twins and if she walks away there won't be a good ending, for anyone.
Luca and Salvatore De Laurentis were created to protect the world from demons who want to destroy it all. Once they bond with their mate, they will be the strongest they could ever be.
Demons want to stop their union. The decision all falls on Angelina's shoulders - will she fulfill her destiny or be the reason the world falls?
I loved everything about this book - the storyline, the characters. The action and the emotions had me gripped all the way through, which made this an easy read.
I'm excited to see where this series goes.

I was simply captivated by the characters and the storyline flowed so well that I got lost in the pages . This is a story about Angelina and the twins Sal and Luca. This was a sexy as sin book that I couldn’t put down. The physical scenes were extremely descriptive and downright naughty but in the best way imaginable. It kind of makes other books look tame.
Angelina, a pretty successful artist, is leading her life in the most normal way possible when she is kidnapped at night walking home to her apartment. This is the start of a very long tailspin for her as she comes to the realization that demons are real and her erotic dreams may border reality more than she could envision. Luca and Salvatore, hybrid angels and vampires, never expect to find their mate let alone save her from a demon. As the attraction between them grows and Angelina is thrust more into this world of good vs. evil she faces challenges that seem too big for her to handle. Can they form a powerful trio to stop the one demon hellbent on destroying them? Or will Amgelina have to face the very real death of not only herself but the two mates that she is deeply in love with?
This book had me going through all the feels as I envisioned the scenes playing out like a movie in my head. I cried, literal tears, was angry, and even laughed at the antics of Luca, Salvatorre, and Angelina. If you like super descriptive, heady, adult themed content books with a fantasy aspect and menage tre thrown in then this is a must read book. I will wait with baited breath for a possible sequel to come out to figure out what happens next for this trio and hopefully some cliffhangers get resolved!

I really enjoyed reading Captivated! This was a simple easy to follow storyline and with fun sexy characters that developed as the story went on. A lot of details have been written really well, you can understand how each character is feeling, care has also been taken for each emotion and storyline develops with information given when needed without it becoming too much at once.

Captivating is the best way to describe Captivated! an interesting ménage romance with a deadly twist. Well at least it seems that way…
Salvatore and Luca have finally found their mate. Unfortunately they need to get to her before Viktor does. If Viktor were to succeed in killing her it would in time lead to their demise as well. How you wonder? Well you are going to have to jump in and read the story the author weaves for them.
Angelina, unlucky in love. Constantly being set up on blind dates by her best friend, refuses to settle for less than she deserves. Little does she know that she’s not only going to be on the receiving end of one man’s love but two. And it’s going to change her life forever.

This story was pretty freaking awesome! I LOVED the idea of hybrids. The story had an almost "Original" and "The Vampire Diaries" feel but with more breathtaking chemistry that left a feeling of awe and wonder with me.
Salvatore and Luca De Laurentis are really hot angel/vampire hybrids that stole my heart right from the start. Their desire and need for Angelina was rock solid and sexy as hell. Angelina was really the perfect glue that held everything together and made their connection strong and perfect. The love felt pure and raw. Add in the danger and action and smoking hot times and this book was grade A AMAZING! I am very pleased with this read and can't wait to read more from Toya Richardson!

Wow I was completely captivated by this story. I love a paranormal romance but this book is so much more than that. The author doesn't an amazing job with the characters and what i love was the author's descriptions about the thought and feelings that were felt. We are taking on a rollercoaster of happiness, desire, fear, love and grief so painful it almost crushes you.
Angelina is just a normal woman. She has never had a man, something just always seems to be off. She does however have dreams and fantasies about 2 men. She doesn't know who they are but boy does she want to know them. So imagine her shock when her dream me walk into her life.
Luca and Salvatore are twins. They are a hybrid of vampire and angel. They have searched for their mate for years and when they find her their love and connection is instant.
However things aren't going to be all sunshine and roses. There is a dangerous demon out to destroy them all and things will turn dangerous for the 3 lovers. Can they succeed in destroying this evil? Will Angelina believe and give in to her fated mates? This story is amazing.

This was a great 5 star read. I was on the edge of my seat right from the beginning. Salvatore and Luca can smell her, their mate, thankfully they find her before anything bad can happen to her. But Angelina is confused, is she dreaming again? What was the hideous creature that attacked her?

This book will grab you from the beginning. The unique characters and world building is unlike any book I’ve read before. It’s fast paced and fun. Angelina, is living a quiet, virgin existence until the she finally meets the two men she’s been fantasizing about. Not only is she fantasizing about them in her dreams she is painting them during the day too. These two men are brothers that are called, “hybrids,” they are part angel and part vampire and they’ve been waiting to find Angelina for a long time. Try something new and go on this sexy ride filled with demon butt kicking! You will enjoy it!

Wow I think I have found my new obsession. This is the first book inthe series and first book by this author that i have read. I am really hooked. I love supernatural romances and boy this really filled that empty space that I have had.
The author has taken two very hot supernatural beings and put them into hybrid form and boy has that really hit the spot. I really like how there is just enough drama and adventure to balance the romance. I really love fated mates story lines. The author has really brought the characters to life and I felt as though I was there in the midst of it all. I cannot wait to read more from this author and series.

I was captured from the beginning. Angelina is an artist who has made a living for herself with a studio that she poured her heart and soul into. Luca and Salvatore are twin "hybrids" that have been searching for her for a long time. Angelina has been having dream with two beautiful men that she cannot move past, but when these two men are no longer just dreams, her world is tilted on its axis. I loved the introduction of the twins into Angelina's world and how they saved her. The plot is well developed, the romance is well done, the book is spicy and in general, I could not put it down. The detail in the writing makes it easy to fall in love with the characters. If you like paranormal, spice, and adventure, definitely give this book a shot.

I had yet to read anything by this author, and I absolutely love refreshing new takes on how to write novels, as different writing styles, the world building and character developments seem to vastly differ depending on preference. I loved the way this author owned that skill, and not only were we whisked away from the first page, but the connection I felt with Luca, Salvatore, and Angelina was instant and my need to read was over the top. There was a clear story here, though different challenges are introduced along the way, but never leaving any question unanswered, until the end, of course!
I have always thought that the connection between lovers was important, and although earthbound folks such as myself don’t have the ability to read minds, the abilities shared between the brothers and their mate was so creative, entertaining, and intense. It was thrilling to be able to get all three of their opinions/thoughts throughout the novel due to this, and I applaud the author for the introduction of this method of sharing. I so look forward to the rest of the series, as I was left on the edge of my seat. Well done, highly recommend!
I have always thought that the connection between lovers was important, and although earthbound folks such as myself don’t have the ability to read minds, the abilities shared between the brothers and their mate was so creative, entertaining, and intense. It was thrilling to be able to get all three of their opinions/thoughts throughout the novel due to this, and I applaud the author for the introduction of this method of sharing. I so look forward to the rest of the series, as I was left on the edge of my seat. Well done, highly recommend!

This book had me sneaking in every second of reading I could get in. It was very hard to put down.
Luca and Salvatore are Hybrid brothers still looking to find their mate. Half angel, half vampire, they are fighting to keep humans safe from demons.
Angelina is an artist and finally has her paintings in a gallery. She is making money to live now with the one thing she loves the most doing. She lives with her best friend Cassie who is always trying to set her up on dates, much to her chagrin.
Changes are in the air for everyone involved. Good, bad, and ugly. I need book two for sure.

As always a fab read from Toya. The sensitivity in how the brothers treated the heroine was incredible. Angelina is more than capable of holding her own and therefore the brother needed to bring something valuable as she is no meek girl who needs saving I love the idea of the angel/vampire hybrids. I wasn't sure I would like the menage however it is extremely well written and leaves you wanting two hybrids of your own. The erotic scenes were handled really well and were made to feel loving as well as extremely hot!! Brilliant work from the author who now needs to write more book boyfriends for us all.

I enjoyed this book! If it wasn't for life and adulting, I could have finished this book in a couple of hours. It's not often that the first book in a series can bring me to tears; and yet, the emotions were so well written that that's exactly what happened. There were moments within the book that I did want more plot than adoration, but I was still captivated to the page.

This book was a great read. I was pulled in from the beginning and kept entertained throughout. This story was full of romance, action, angels, demons, vampires, danger, steamy moments, and great characters. This author did a great job writing a fascinating story that was hard to put down. I can’t wait to read what the author writes next.
I loved how supportive the brothers and their family were to Angelina. I couldn't help but become invested in the characters and the story line. Angela has a big doctor make and it doesn't only affect her. If you want to find out what happens then you must read this book. I highly recommend it.

I was enthralled with the uniqueness of the creation of half vampire and half angel. Angelina was dreaming about her soulmates Luca and Salvatore before she even met them. Once mated Angelina grows beautiful wings the color of her hair. Even before she is fully mated she starts developing powers. Though her biggest sacrifice is losing her best friend Cassie tragically by a demon who was after Angelina.

This book had me hooked from the start. I enjoyed the action filled story. The tension between the brothers and Angelina was crackling! The theme was a little darker than I expected, but liked it nonetheless. A good fantasy read.

This is such a steamy paranormal story that was a true delight to read. I was hooked from the moment I started reading. The dynamic between these three characters was amazing. I was completely bought into them and their story. I thought the author handled the complex relationship so well and, although it is not something I ever imagine experiencing, I still found it so easy to relate to them. This is an exciting and sexy story that I loved from beginning to end.

This was a smorgasbord of steamy delight for fantasy romance fans. This had a little bit of everything all rolled into one. The first part of the book took a little bit to get into, especially the chapters from the brother’s point of view. Then I felt a shift and I was fully vested in the characters and their story, especially Angelina. This is my first book from author and it was written very well. Looking forward to continuing this series.

Okay, Captivated is absolutely a guilty pleasure! If you ever asked me in public if I read this book I would say “no”! It is so much steamy goodness in one little package!! I love a good Fated Mates tale but this one takes the cake (well both cales)!! If polyamorous relationships is not your thing, this is not the book for you. But if it is even a teensy bit, you HAVE to give this a try! I am absolutely following this author from now on!

This Author does not disappoint once again! This captivating and sexy read is so worth it. Angelina is an artist with exceptional watercolor experience living a regular life. Apart from that, she's having wet dreams of two guys. Little does she know that she's about to actually meet them. The rest is worth you to get the book and read away!
