Their Unpredictable Path by Jocelyn McClay
This was my first book by this author and I was impressed by the enjoyable storyline and the story engaged me from the very first page. It was a really sweet story with two people who created a pretend relationship to avoid the "attentions" of family, and other "well-intentions friends who want them both to find a suitable match. It is a really enjoyable story and I like the author's style and definitely want to read her books.

Together these two books make a great combo! You will love both stories!

An Unlikely Amish Match by Vannetta Chapman:
Susannah Beiler has decided to protect the other young Amish women from Micah Fisher. He is definitely not your model Amish man and Susanna decides that the other women won't seek after him if she decides to date him herself.

This was a really good book and has lots of touching and tender moments in it. And there was humor as well. It was one of those reads that you decide to read in one sitting because you don't want to stop reading. Micah was a lovable character even though he doesn't always abide by the strict Amish rules and regulations. There are some surprising twists in the story and the characters grow and learn about themselves and others. Kind of like we do! I enjoyed this story very much.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from an author. All thoughts are my own.

Her Pretend Courtship by Jocelyn McClay and Vannetta contains two enjoyable Amish stories. Their Unpredictable Path by Jocelyn McClay is a cute story that features two kind people. I enjoyed following the “pretend” courtship of Susannah Mast and Jethro Weaver. I could understand why Susannah and Jethro wanted to escape the pressure being put on them by the bishop (and Jethro’s mother) to marry. I like the author’s friendly writing style. I finished this story with a smile on my face. An Unlikely Amish Match by Vannetta Chapman is a touching tale. It is the fifth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. Micah and Susannah are complete opposites which leads to some humorous and playful moments. There are also some tender scenes that will touch your heart. I like how faith is incorporated into the story. Also, we see that each day is precious, and we should not waste a moment. I like Vannetta Chapman’s engaging writing style. I was quickly drawn into An Unlikely Amish Match. Her Pretend Courtship has two uplifting stories with pushy parents, strategic matchmaking, a troubled teen, a stubborn grandfather, an earnest maidel, and surprising situations.

A Great Double Hitter

This is one great double hitter! Each involves two people that are so unlike each other that you are left thinking, "There is absolutely no way these two will come together." And that is just exactly what makes each story so great.

Author Jocelyn McClay has brought together Susannah Mast and Jethro Weaver in a sweet, tug at your heart story. (Jethro won me over right from the start.)

Their Unpredictable Path - Book Quote:
"Everyone seems t-to have an opinion on what is gut for m-me. Like I'm incapable of d-dealing for m-myself." His voice was hoarse. Jethro swallowed against the ache in his throat. "I thought you were gut for m-me. B-but apparently I'm not gut for you. Or m-maybe just not gut enough."

Vannetta Chapman has brought together Susannah Beiler and Micah Fisher in a sweet and wonderful story of love, mystery, forgiveness, tenderness, sadness, joy, hope and faith. It will draw you in from the start, keep you hooked, and leave you with a feeling of contentment and a smile on your face.

This double hitter is definitely a read you won’t want to miss.

Both of these stories feature couples who form a partnership of pretense but end up with more than they bargained for. The novels are well-written and sweep readers up into the drama. The characters make you care about them and what happens—they seem so real. You can’t help but long for everything to turn out well in these endearing tales. I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

It’s always special to read an Amish Loved Inspired romance and extra special when you get two in one book! Two of my favorite authors joined together to share two wonderful stories.
What you think is going to happen always changes when the heart takes over. Both stories made me feel good and enjoying page after page. I feel in love with the characters and I most definitely feel it deserves all five stars!

Superbly written. This book proves that age doesn't matter when the heart is involved.
