A collection of folk stories about art, money, drugs and love told first hand by the songwriter and storyteller Beans on Toast. "Beans is a legend and I love him" Kae Tempest "One of England's most loved troubadours" Blaine Harrison "A voice I'll always pay attention to, and you should too" Frank Turner
Foolhardy Folk Tales My first book of 2025 and is what has inspired me to begin reading again. In all honesty, Its exactly what I needed to get me going again. its a nice light and easy read full of character, comedy and life.
Listening to Beans' retellings of his life out on the road was genuinely very heart warming, and you can feel his personality ooze from the pages, every person or place described gives you the reader the feeling that you are there alongside the crew watching it all play out.
I will not spoil what any of the stories in this book as I believe you should experience the book yourself as part of the joy is hearing the stories for the first time . However I believe the best chapter is "The Blag". I will say no more as, but I think its peak Beans on Toast
5 stars! Just as good as the first book and enjoyed the stories so much.
Also The first story WTF 😂
If you like Beans on Toast's music then i would 100% say give the book(s) a go they are so interesting and informative and reading this book was just a great time!
