Confessions of an out-of-shape ER Doctor: Ever get drunk and dial your ex?

We’ve all done that…

Here’s one you may not have attempted…

Ever get drunk and depressed on New Year's Eve and order a personal trainer?

Because I was so tipsy, I ordered three.

When they all show up the next day, devilish smiles and looking at me with rippling muscles, sculpted abs, and tight butts, I feel even more out of shape.

That's not me, and why my cheating husband left me. My plan? Get in revenge shape enough to run the L.A. Marathon.

To cross that finish line, I have to choose between three gods who want to make me into the woman I once was.

Finnegan: Irish brogue, green eyes, slender build, and buns of steel.
Pierce: Ex-Marine, brutish, built, blue eyes with thick legs like trees I want to climb.
Cooper: Gorgeous struggling actor and single dad with stormy gray eyes who’s a little mean, but that will make me work harder.

I can't choose, so I hire all three.

My pounds may not melt off so fast, but my panties sure do. These guys want me just the way I am. They don't share clients, but they agree to share the heck out of me.

When my husband wants me back, will Finn, Pierce, and Cooper stay my personal trainers, my best friends, and my lovers or will our love crash harder than a diet on New Year’s Day?

- Love, Dr. Larissa Davenport

It’s the Fat-phobia and Bi-phobia for me! 🤦‍♀️

I tried, I really tried! Being in my nice era, I really tried to like and get into this but, it’s going to have to be a no from me. The characters were not interesting to me, the plot moved a little too fast. And like I said in the review heading, for a book that’s supposed to be uplifting to plus-sized women, it was rampant with fat-phobia and sprinkled in with a side of bi-phobia! Just a big no!

The narration was good though. So I guess there’s that positive!

Really great read

I really enjoyed this book. It hooked me from the first page as we see Larissa getting drunk on new year's eve when her husband is leaving her. To her signing up for a personal trainer drunk, and waking to three hot guys.
This book gets hot and steamy as it goes on whilst going through its twists to then end in such a sweet way for Larissa, Finn, Cooper and Pierce

I think marketing this as a curvy girl romance was stretching the truth of that niche a bit. For me, when I see something claiming to be a curvy girl romance I assume it features: 1. a curvy girl 2. a partner/partners who love her and the way she looks. Pretty basic. But this just felt really fat-shamey. Larissa is a doctor who spends the entire book lamenting about how she used to be a size six and isn't anymore. Trying to prove to her new trainers that she hasn't always been so overweight and eating so poorly. It just left an icky taste in my mouth and honestly I should have expected that. A "curvy girl romance" about personal trainers? That is definitely on me for ever downloading it.

Also, I did not like the MM relationship here at all. It felt a little biphobic to me. The one man who has been with men before talks about how much he loved his wife and just couldn't help himself. He had to have sex with men. I fucking hate that narrative that bi people just can't control themselves and want the best of both worlds. Idk. There are several comments throughout this that just really rubbed me the wrong way.

I only got 15% into this but the language and focus on women's size when it is pitched as a plus size book was irritating. It may get better later but so far two women came up, both plus size. There was no encouragement of their beauty just a drive to get them skinny.

Maybe it does get better and actually celebrates plus size bodies but the beginning made me dislike all the three main men and so I couldn't carry on.

If this hadn't been billed as a 'curvy girl' story, I'd have rated it higher. I'll read pretty much anything that doesn't have babies in it but I am particular about books matching up to the premise.

If you say your characters are super amazing spies, I expect to see super amazing spy-ness.

If you promote a book as 'curvy girl' I expect to see a FMC who loves and embraces her curves, not one that constantly wishes she was in her size six days past. Sure the guys wanted her and were attracted but the FMC needed constant reasurrance that she was beautiful at that size, and seemed to be ashamed and disgusted by her body.

So this isn't body positive, this is skinny girl gains weight and wants to go back to being skinny but everyone but her and the ex, thinks she's beautiful the whole time. And judging by the end bit, the FMC is going to continue her weight loss journey and still has issues with her size and appearance.

This story would have followed the exact same path if her 'drunk dial' for personal trainors had been to address her unhealthy coping methods with food and her goals had been to change her fitness levels and not her appearance. She could have worked with three presumably talented trainers to be more fit and active while being adamant about not needing to be skinny to be beautiful.

All that aside, this book is an easy read with a short timeline, odd pacing and predictible plot. Not a great book or a bad one, just something to pass the time.

The ultimate revenge reverse harem fantasy for all of us bigger gals! What do you do when your husband tells you that you are fat and disgusting then leaves you for his stick thin assistant of the moment? Sign up for personal training, end up with not one, but three hot trainers who all worship you and want to work you out both in and out of the bedroom especially when it turns out that the three hot guys share really well! The storyline was ok, but the steamy workouts are definitely entertaining. I'll definitely give this author another whirl when I am looking for mindless steamy entertainment.

Shared by Her Trainers by Tori Chase is a curvy girl reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lexi Evans, Marcus Rayne, James Amherst, and DB West. This is the first book in the Forever Our Girl series and can be read as a stand-alone.

This is the first book of Tori's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I loved the chemistry between Larissa, Cooper, Pierce, and Finnegan. I really enjoyed getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Lexi, Marcus, James, and DB did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like curvy girl romances, reverse harem romances, or contemporary romances.

Better than I thought.

It wasn’t as cheesy as I initially expected. Granted there was still cheese. The book stopped at 90% but there was a preview into another Shared by book, which I didn’t read as I wasn’t interested.

DNF at 34%. I hope no one I know ever speaks to their partners in the way that these men speak about this woman. I hope no one I know speaks about themselves the way that this woman speaks about her body. I’m pretty disgusted.

Ok, I wanna be nice about this book cause it was an amazing story with great characters. I think it was just too much filler in between. I know that there has to be a backstory for each one, but some of it was like why is this in here cause it made no sense to the current story.

Like a lot of the scenes with Cooper and his daughter. I'm like what is going on?!

They did have some insta love in the beginning which I LOVE in books!! So that was great, but then all the fluff in the middle, I was like HUH? And then everything happened in the last couple of chapters. I was like why couldn't this have happened earlier. With the ending and the epilogue it's felt like, it was rushed, and they got the end, and it's like oh I haven't told them what happens next. Here ya go!

But all in all, it was a great story. I love how they all fell for each other, and the characters were amazing! Darcy cracked me up! I really liked them all together. They way they knew each other without saying anything was great!

Some of my fave quotes:
1. Sure can I dip them in something? Yeah your mouth. - Loved the humour put in!
2. All while letting him know, I was open for fun. Slut town here I come. - ROFL!! Larissa deserved it after that horrible husband she was with!

This book had potential, but it was hampered by the egregious misuse of commas, a lack of emotional connection to the characters, and dry passionless sex scenes.

Somebody get an editor in here, STAT. The comma usage was atrocious. Random commas in the middle of sentences, then no commas where they were needed. It was so distracting that I had to stop and reread each section, with the commas in the correct place, just so I could go on.

I didn't feel that the characters had any connection to each other, and certainly not to me, the reader. Basically, they thought the other was good-looking, so they fell in love. I didn't feel their chemistry or affection, or even that they cared about each other at all. Larissa was like, "He's hot, I want to bang him. I'm so in love. Hey, he's hot, too. I want to bang him also. I must be in love with him, too. Hey, that dude is also really hot. I think I'm in love because I want to bang him." And the guys are like, "Yeah, whatever. Even though she's big, I think she has a pretty face so I'm pretty sure I love her. It's cool if she wants to bang the other guys, too."

Speaking of the banging. Those scenes were not romantic or hot at all. They were almost clinical in the placement of parts and the description of actions. It was very factual, with no emotional feelings brought in. Very wham, bam, thank you, ma'am. Again, I felt no connection to the characters and didn't feel their connection to each other.

Overall, a disappointing read. This feels very much like someone's first attempt at writing. It needs depth, polish, and a very good editor.

Also, why is the cover model thin when Larissa is a self-described size 16? Shame on Tori Chase for thinking she had to have a very slender cover model to sell a book about an average-sized woman.

I think I just wasn't in the mood for this book, but also, as I wrote this review, I realised there were other reasons why I simply didn't enjoy it. It was super predictable, I could clearly see where it was headed, and for that reason it didn't keep my interest. But that wasn't the biggest problem, really. We'll go from the smaller issues to the biggest one:

I felt that it was out of character for the FMC's soon-to-be ex-husband not to be vindictive and cut her off from their joint account, particularly as he calls her a "monster" (which seemed odd... since she hadn't been vicious or violent towards him. If all she did was eat too much and put on weight, and work long hours and cry over her patients, it doesn't seem like monster behaviour...). Since she wasn't earning much during her residency while he was raking in all the big bucks, I would have expected him to insist that the bulk of the money is his, and I would also have expected him to kick her out of the house rather than leave and let her stay in residence.

So, for her to be able to afford unlimited sessions with three personal trainers -- that just stretched the boundaries of my suspension of disbelief. Also, if she can't cope with difficult cases as a doctor, how is she going to continue her career? It seemed to me that perhaps a few sessions with a therapist would be in order to help her find better ways of coping than drowning her sorrows in food and alcohol. In fact, I could quite understand Cooper's disdain because she's a doctor, yet she wasn't taking care of her own health.

She does say that she was seeing a counselor at work about managing her emotions over the challenges of work, but she contradicts herself about her motivations and intentions: "The last thing I wanted was another husband, but if I wanted anyone to ever touch me again, I better do something about myself." That's in chapter 1, when she fills in an online form to enquire about personal trainers, in a fit of drunkenness and despondency on the night her husband demands a divorce. But in chapter 8 she tells Finn, "I intend to get back on track. Ronan giving up on me and finding a mistress while I'd been drowning in sorrow and regret was a blow. But the other woman is never the problem. She was the symptom of something wrong between us long before the wheels fell off my life. That's why I reached out for help. That's why I filled out the web form."

She's lying to Finn. She didn't reach out for help because she had intended to do something about it all along; she did it because the divorce made her feel extra unattractive and she didn't want to be alone forever. And, whatever was wrong between her and her soon-to-be ex-husband, it wasn't her appearance or her coping behaviours -- which she herself says: she said him having an affair was a symptom of something wrong between us long before the wheels fell off my life. So how would that have been the motivation for her to try to lose weight and change her eating habits?

They were all very difficult characters to like. The FMC I could sympathise with when it came to the emotional devastation of losing a patient, and I could understand her comfort eating, but I couldn't understand the drinking. Maybe it's because drinking is not one of my vices, but I have a sweet tooth and love cakes and ice cream (sigh). But though she claims to have been seeing a counselor at work, we don't see her trying to rein herself in from the comfort eating, not even trying to talk herself out of it or use different coping mechanisms which a counselor would have suggested. So I felt that in chapter 1, when we meet her, she was still wallowing and not even trying to help herself, and that's what I don't like.

As for the men, I actually liked Cooper the best because, although he was disdainful and judgmental of her, it was easier to believe than Pierce with his "I'm ex-military and I can't help myself from saving damsels in distress" line, like puh-leeeez. "Oh let me hold your hair while you puke out your hangover, you poor thing." I was rolling my eyes. I like a caring man, but Pierce was just laying it on so thick that it became a little smarmy. Both Finnegan and Pierce are instantly attracted to Larissa, despite her being a hungover train wreck, with Finn puffing out his chest, trying to impress her with his cooking, and I was just wondering how believable is that? And later, when they find out more about her circumstances and it's clear she's not in any sort of emotional or mental state to start a new relationship, they still continue flirting with her -- despite her being their client -- because they just can't help themselves?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!! And even kiss her!! Bleargh I had no respect for these two men.

So, DNF. I think the author couldn't decide whether she wanted Larissa to be strong or to be a damsel in distress. I really would have respected Larissa more if she'd already been taking some steps to help herself, yet continued to struggle. And if it wasn't her pending divorce that made her think she had to lose weight and be attractive again. Because, in the end the message was, "I was a size six a year ago, I got to size 16 due to comfort eating because I couldn't handle my job, but I want you to know this isn't normal for me! I've never been this heavy or flabby!" Which, to me, is like saying, size six is the goal, size 16 is unwanted and unattractive, and suggests that heavier or larger people are the way they are because they aren't tackling their problems head-on (like, you know, hiring three personal trainers, watching their nutrition, working out, and managing their emotional or psychological traumas -- all the things that Larissa does in this book). Urgh. I didn't like this subtext and don't support this message. Sure, it's nice that the guys, or at least Pierce and Finn, are attracted to her as a size 16 but in the end, the goal is still to lose weight, so... I don't know. I'm conflicted.

3.75-4⭐️’s — there were a few quirks of this relationship that kinda bothered me, but they were very nuanced. I’d rather not go into detail not because it was taboo to me, because truthfully I found the subject matter sexy, but because I’m feeling like a lazy jackass. Sorry for the inadequacy of this review.

Anit no fun if the trainers can't have none lol... Lordt this book was so interesting! There is themes of fatphobia within the book, but also uplifting.

Dr. Larissa Davenport has just finished her medical residency and still in her scrubs in her kitchen on New Years Eve listening to her husband tell her he is leaving her because she has gain so much weight (Due to depression and an extreme traumatic event at work, but he doesn't care) and that she works too much (I mean resident +crazy long shifts= no time at home duh!). So he decided to leave his wife on a night that should've been a celebration of completing her medical residency turned into another traumatic experience and blow to her fragile insecurities in regards to her weight. Said husband is leaving her to be with his younger slimmer assistant and made it clear that she is the problem not him(as if...). Since she didn't breakdown in front of him during his speech... asking him not leave...or go on a rampage... instead stating she agreed they should go their separate ways he became upset storming out. Larissa just grabs a few bottles of wine to just get drunk, but in her drunken stupor went online to sign up to train with a trainer. The next day three trainers show up having all being sent out by their greedy boss at the gym and when they arrive her husband storms out the front door with his bags in hand stating that his soon to be ex wife was drunk passed out in the bedroom upstairs...

This book was hawt and filled with MF, MM, MFM & MFMM scenes that were down right smutty. There were moments of instant attraction, finding ones beauty within and out, breaking society norms, sexual awareness, and dealing with trauma individually as well as together. This book made me very happy as the characters went through so many situations that deal with bisexuality, fatphobia, letting go ego and it does kind of pull at your heart strings as well. I likey!

Touch of Friends to Lovers ✅

Plot 4✨
Spice 4🌶️

Working long shifts in a stressful emergency room with children can leave people drained and without energy. Add in the mix of losing a patient that young and you have a recipe for disaster. That is why Larrisa's life has become a disaster leading her to eat really unhealthy food and gain weight. That lead her husband of years to look outside their marriage for his needs. Now on New Year's Eve, he tells her he wants a divorce. Good riddance. Looking for revenge she drunkenly signs up for not one but three personal trainers.

When Finn, Pierce, and Cooper all show up to pitch their different methods and expertise to the new potential client, they are sure their boss messed up. They know if they leave without signing her, they will face consequences at work. They each have different reasons for needing the money this client could bring in. What they weren't expecting was to meet by the client's mean soon-to-be-ex leaving. The question is who will she choose?

What happens when Larrisa hires Finn and Pierce both?
What about Cooper? What is his deal?
When attraction rears its head with not one man but all three what will Larrissa do?
What is this weird tension between Pierce and Cooper and will it complicate things further?

As a bigger girl, I always love a story where the curvy girl gets the hot guy. This book provided that but also provided the point that you don't have to be skinny to be healthy. Yes, Larrisa wanted to get back down to her size six, but the men constantly told her how beautiful she was and just to focus on getting healthy, not fit. I liked how we got to see more into all three men's life and Cooper stole my heart from the start. The plot is not too heavy, and this book would be great to get someone out of a funk or book hangover.

must read

When life royally screws you over, it’s up to you on how you approach the situation. Do you give up and let the doubt, fear, and hatters win? Or do you get up, take your life back, and start living for yourself again? Larissa decided on the ladder, and was shown a whole other world.

Having not one, not two, but three different men helping get her life back on track, she found herself seeing them as something other than her trainers. All the ways they cared about her, showed up when she needed it, saw beneath the surface and what an incredible person she was made it even more intoxicating and irresistible.

I loved all the body positivity and the work that went into wanting to be healthy not just skinny. It creates this idea that you can love yourself as a bigger person yet you feel better and have more energy.

“The key to steeling my heart was being brutally honest about my faults, then no one could ever hurt me with the truth.”

“Are you having a good time?” Stirring, he laid eyes on me. “Good time? In my life?” I smiled and leaned against him. “The class. With me? This was something you wanted to do with her. I want you to enjoy it. Even though I’m not her.” Finnegan kissed me again and honestly, I felt lost, but in a good way. Mindless. “I’m having a very good time. With you. Because of you.” His sweet breath tickled my ear.”

“You’re amazing, Rissa.” He stirred my cranberries into his glaze and when they bubbled, he poured the mixture into the skillet over the crepe batter that had firmed up. “I’m proud as hell of you wanting help. That’s what I find so attractive about you. It’s not what your body looks like, now, or later. It’s that you have the drive and self-respect to realize you needed help.” “Doesn’t mean I’ll love you looking at what’s under this dress, Finn.” “Wanna find out?”

Super holy Hotness!
This is a fast paced listen for me .. I’ve finished this book a while back and keep starting over as that’s how much I love this audiobook and these amazingly talented narrators !

This about Marisa, a plus size Doctor whose husband has just walked out on her because of her weight gain and his cheating way.
But his leaving only open up a way for her and her trainers whom she had drunkenly signed up for as her personal trainers.
But instead they ended up being much much more towards each other with workout equipments always at the ready! (No pun)

Pierce Cooper and Finnegan they all fell for this Gorgeous woman one by one .. and she too fell hard .
But this story has its issues like figuring how and where they each fit and of course dealing with the ex !

This is a why Why Choose Rimance with a bit of drama and plenty of spicy shenanigans with a HEA , and they way how they Love and accepted each other.

But for me the Narrators totally brought the heat of these characters to life!
Listen Lexi Evans, Marcus Rayne, James Amherst, and DB West 💯 % smashed it and I loved it !

Give this one a listen .. 🎧 hope you will enjoy it as much as I did !

Larissa's had a rough professional year that ends with her personal life hitting a new low on New Year's Eve. She's concentrated on becoming a doctor for the last year and hasn't focused on herself. Her diet hasn't been the best and her stress levels have been high, so she's put on some weight. Apparently, this is enough for her husband to stray and demand a divorce. Drowning her emotions with a bottle of wine, Larissa signs up for a personal trainer to aid her with strength, speed, and nutrition. Before she is even out of bed on New Year's Day there is not one but three hot trainers in her house. What's a girl to do when faced with an impossible choice? Hire all three, Finn, Pierce and Cooper are each dedicated to providing Larissa with the best personal service. Fitness never felt so good.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I fully expected it to be 100% book porn. Instead, there was a fully developed, entertaining story. I enjoyed Larissa finding her confidence again. She took control of her life, got healthier, and remembered her worth. It's a shame she needed reminding. Here's a successful doctor, a woman who regularly saves lives, and she's judged by her appearance into her accomplishments personality. It was stressed her husband once showed her off as a trophy wife and now shames her for being fat. This is a man who is better as your ex. I liked Pierce and Finn but never embraced Cooper. He was much too superficial with his fatphobia and fat-shaming; bad for any human being but unacceptable for a trainer. And unfortunately, his redemption arc wasn't enough for me. The other two men were lovely and I enjoyed their relationship dynamics with Larissa.

It's 5.04am and I just finished this book.

Oh. My. Goodness.

This book is awesome!! It's given me all the feels!

Its actually so sweet, which for basically an orgy... Haha we've got 4 people who are all broken in their own way, finding each other, falling in like and finally in love. The best part about the story, apart from allllll the sex, was that it happened so organically, nothing was forced, nothing felt out of place, it seemed real! They were shy and awkward with each other and how to go forward with what they wanted, exactly how I expect it would be in real life.

That, and there were parts where I just flat out laughed out loud, especially at rissa, she really reminded me of me, with her dry sense of humour and her opinions of exercise and healthy eating!

Once again it was good to read a book where someone who looks like me gets a happy ever after - all too often the h is all skin and bone and I just can't relate.

There were a very few typos, but only a few, in fact, I think I only remember there being one extra word somewhere, so it in no way detracts from the story at all.

I've read so many great books in the last few weeks and I've found myself saying already that the books just made it into my favourites list, and the book boyfriends are in my top three, well, now I guess I have a top 6, and these guys are in it - they each of them bring something different to the table and they each of them complement each other it give rissa a different strength that she needs.

All in all, a thoroughly excellent book. I would definitely recommend!

I did not finish this book. I was initially intrigued when I saw a tiktok teaser of the book with a description saying, "You hire a personal trainer but three show up. They love your body just the way you are." It turns out that was a very misleading description, because the fatphobia in this book is strooooong. These are some direct quotes from the novel:

"Larissa needed to shed pounds because it wasn't healthy to carry that additional weight on her thin frame. There was a gorgeous, sexy woman under there and I made it my mission to find her."

"Here's where I looked like a hypocrite. Criticizing Larissa for being overweight while my own daughter had a problem too. But fuck it, I loved Selena. She was nineteen and figuring out life. Larissa was an adult, she knew better. And she was a doctor!"

"We're going to grab some herbal tea. Hot tea in your stomach will fill you up. When you're hungry between meals, have a cup of warm tea. Should get you to the next meal."

I genuinely couldn't buy into these men being attracted to Larissa when these comments were scattered throughout the book. It didn't feel like the men liked her body just the way it was. It felt like they were attracted to her DESPITE her body. As a fat girl, the last thing I want is to read a novel that constantly reminds me that men would be happier with my body if a lost a few pounds.

There are so many great romances that celebrate curvy and fat women's bodies. I'll stick to those.

Lari is a doctor in the ER, her husband left her with some very nasty words because she gain a little weight.
On the New Year’s Eve, she got drunk and when she saw an ad online for a personal trainer, she responded to it. Next thing she knows she wakes up with three personal trainers at her house. Apparently she order three 😅.
Enter Finn, Pierce and Cooper. A running specialist, a dietitian specialist and a muscle building specialist. They are all different, and bring something different to the table.
Her weight may not melted fast, but her panties surely did 😉.

Well, this was fun, steamy and emotional. This is not a plus size story, so keep that in mind. Some people say that there is fat phobia. I don’t think so. I think going into the book thinking you have a plus size representation, is were you are wrong. Lari is a plus size FMC that wants to lose weight. Is that simple. Don’t confuse things. her ex-husband was the fat phobic. Her ex-husband was the piece of shit.
She was skinny, gained weight, and wants to be skinny again. And let me make another thing clear. The guys love her, love the ground she walked on, and didn’t want to change her.
Now, having this in mind, I had a lot of fun reading it. The spice was good too, and so were the group scenes. Two of them have solo fun too 😉.

Resolutions and Encouragement

Tori Chase Shared by Her Trainers

I enjoyed my first book from Tori Chase. As much as I hate how her NYE went, I love how Dr. Larissa Davenport ended up with Finnegan "Finn" Donnelly, Pierce Capshaw, and Cooper Eldridge.

I can completely understand Larissa's indecision. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite. If forced to, I think Pierce might win by the skin of his teeth.

So fucking adorable, she thought that little round body turned me off. No way. I was a big guy. I didn’t want a meek little thing I could break. I looked at Larissa and just saw a body I could make healthy and tight. I didn’t care if it stayed the same size.
-- Pierce Capshaw

I love the steam from all fronts and how the relationships develop, one rockier than the others. I really like how everyone handles the changing dynamics. And then that twist... Good, a little predictable, but still good.

I read and listened to this book. The narrators are DB West, Lexi Evans, James Amherst, and Marcus Rayne. It's unfortunate that this wasn't in duet narration, but I still really enjoyed them, especially Finn's Irish accent. 🍀💚

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Tori Chase created such individual character’s that each had brought different elements of struggles experienced through their lives before meeting Larissa.

I found myself really enjoying the progression and development of larissa’s relationships between the 3 trainers (deliciously attractive), and let’s just say I’m missing out the motivation to workout daily!

Larissa’s ex-husband was a P.O.S, truly a horrible douche but I loved how alpha/protective her new fellas got! Finn, Pierce and Cooper become such caring supporters for Larissa and the emphasis they have on loving her body in any shape/size and encouraging her to just be healthier so she would feel good also portrayed a great message!

The epilogue at the end was so sweet and it was great to see everyone happy and together however I would have loved to see them further down the track… perhaps with a baby or two and with booming careers/businesses.

Overall - a great book for anyone interested in a humorous reverse haram read. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down because I was so invested in each of the character’s goals and storyline’s.

Misled to believe this was a positive type curvy girl book. My mistake, this was so full of fat shaming & fat phobia, & as a fat girl, I hated it. I get enough fat shaming in the world around me, I don’t want to read it in a book too. The character development is very weak, almost nonexistent. The insta-love coupled with the fat shaming by the 3 personal trainers makes the whole RH relationship thing unbelievable. The sex was very robotic/clinical, in other words it didn’t feel natural or realistic. Not to mention the M/M action seemed like it was meant for titillation not realistic relationship development. There was a lot of stuff that felt off or not researched enough to legit write about it. Also plot holes. Wish I could get my time back, & I should have DND’d early in when the 3 guys started in about her weight & finding the pretty girl under the weight… 🙄 I was interrupted a lot today while reading this, so I must have lost the story to have kept reading instead. I’ll be deleting this from my Kindle library, thankfully it was free.

Didn't finish the book. Just couldn't get even very far. As a BBW myself, I could feel the failure, desperation, shame, and self-loathing from her as she interacted with the trainers. They were pathetically "empathetic" from the first moment. So when the 1st moves are made - pretty fast too - there's no connection to the characters. It was just wrong. I felt like someone was pandering to me like "Hey fat girl reading this book? Yeah, you. I want you to feel good about yourself. It's not your fault you're fat. You're beautiful too. So I'll write this, totally, hypocritical book about 3 personal trainers who want to get freaky so you know how sexy you are. Seems if 3 personal trainers think you're super hot, so hot they plan to mold you into some nutritionally balanced, weight-trained, cardio machine, then heck, any man should be jealous." GROSS. But then, I didn't finish it because I had that premonition and bailed so maybe it got better? I mean, I did have a personal trainer who is married to a BBW but didn't try to change her.

OMG! Larissa is one very lucky woman!! Our FMC, Larissa, is an ER doctor for pediatrics side. So, obviously her job is and can be stressful, on New Year's Eve her ass of a husband admits he has been cheating on her and that he is leaving her for his mistress and because Larissa has gained weight and not a size 6 anymore!! Anyway, Larissa gets really drunk that night and orders not one, but three very sexy, delicious, and unique personal trainers!! Like I said before, Larissa is one lucky female.

Larissa orders a strength, nutrition, and cardio personal trainers and she wants to get back into shape, to be healthy, and to run a marathon. Throughout the book you see Larissa's transformation physically, mentally, and emotionally. You also see her relationship with her trainers grow. It was so sweet that they didn't see her weight, they saw HER as a very smart and successful women that just got off tracked and needed help.

All in all this book was a cute read and I enjoyed reading it!

The males in the harem: Finn, Cooper, and Pierce

Sexiness: 3.5 out 5
